To be fair when I watched the game in real time, I thought some of the blame should go to Mudryk.

Then watching the replays again, I thought Ziyech was also stupid for jumping into the press. Then of course Enzo for his part

The problem here however is some people have set a precedent by blaming the DM for every goal conceded especially with the escorting rubbish talk. And by the way, I hope you guys realize that Enzo's game does not rely on pace, so get ready to defend more of this

Football has and would always be a system sport. Multiple failures are typically mostly responsible for goals conceded.

Setting up a team for counters after corners should be straight forward for Potter. Those are basic tactics

Anything to blame Potter and it's mostly coming from tuchelsexuals that still can't get over the fact their guy was rightfully sacked.
Potter isnt it bro. I have not seen anything from him so far

Some day you'll come back to this to admit how wrong you are. I hope u're not one of those who would never admit when wrong

Potter’s statement to the handball:

“That’s life”.

If I speak, I am in big trouble. There is 100% chance if it was against Chelsea, it would have been given. They checked an obvious offside for 5 minutes.

Potter came to the media and everything he could say is That's life. angry angry
To be fair this was a proper response.

Being in control of his emotions is one of the reasons he was hired in the first place

Farewell Jorgiboy, A true Professional

Came, Saw and conquered. Critics still bent on hating, but your medals are yours for life. Deservedly earned of course

My one player who totally understood the concept of midfield space interpretation, an anathema to the crude thuggish British football

All the best for the future Jorginho and thank you for everything

Unpopular to who?

Isnt the Moody's recent downgrade telling enough?.

So much Idealism, Bandwagon effect and Social proof. There's absolutely no depth to what this man says.

For all the talks about us needing midfielders and whatnot. All I see are new strikers and wingers grin.

Potter should do better and start looking at the midfield. He's already spent a lot in these transfers tongue

I now understand the deal better; €70m fixed plus €30m add-ons. The €70m will be paid for the duration of Mudryk's contact (7 and half years), meaning we'll essentially be paying €10m every year. Pretty smart.
That's not how this works in the real world.

There's a difference between Balance Sheet and Cashflow. Accountants would be able to explain better

If to say Emenalo dey now, we could have easily blamed him. cheesy
Well, we still have the usual suspects blaming Tuchel.

Notice how easy it was for them to sack him while the rest of us were bewildered as to how a manager who had just got millions in players transfers was easily let go.

Could only mean one thing

Stupid rubbish takes everywhere just cos the Fans were chanting TT's name loudly in the stadium the other day

Dem say na cocaine and tap dancing, One say na Corruption, Mtcheew!!!. Classic PR move by Boehly and the (expected) British gutter media.

Potter's now the coach and should be the focus. Nothing's gonna distract us from his woeful performance and the failure that he is. Nothing concern us with Tuchel

European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga)Re: Official Chelsea Fan Thread: Club World Cup Champions 2025-2029 by User09:
Keep wasting time on a mediocre manager who's shown no promise and any reason to be trusted with a rebuild project. 4 months in and the buffoon already has a lower win percentage than AVB.

Keep the excuses piling. Like I said, I havent seen any style of play or tactics that interests me about this guy.

Maybe someone can explain to me especially with some instances in our play. Zero improvement and movements in the team. Almost at every instance, I saw 2 - 3 players chasing the ball. Zero Positional play and so unorganized. Even the players have lost belief. Azpi and Silva's body language the past few games have been indicators

I dont know any single coach that would expose himself to City by giving up the wings when every Joe knows City attacks from there. Baba congests the middle surrender flanks to Pep. Bloody slowpoke

No matter how y'all spin it, TT's sacking was a really poor decision, then hiring this one a disaster

The earlier Boehly accepts this as a sunk cost and moves on. The better for the team

Potter is not 100% to blame but he always adds little ajasa mistakes to the situation. For instance, Omari Hutchinson that is obviously not ready physically for the EPL is not the person to throw into the game when there is a possibility of City snatching all his confidence for the nearest future.
Who is?

I think you're onto something. I am careful about discussing certain things because I don't even know what is true or not.

Another thing is, debt profile is cumulative. Some of the debt is still from the yesteryears. Someone else has posted here all the hundreds of billions this govt had to pay back to some state governments from allocations owed them from the past administration and prior.
True. Also at 39% ( which is the foreign composition of the debt profile), I dont think its that bad.

Problem has always been how to move away from that monoeconomy and grow the reserves in some other way. I have never really liked the focus on Oil

22 Trillion Naira is that not USD27.5Bn? Not holding briefs for anyone because I don't even know what is going on but USD27.5Bn??
Cant speak on this as I do not have all the information. Besides, I highly doubt that story, Probably missing some key elements.

My point was looking at the debt service to revenue wasnt putting it in context .

Although the argument could have been that the servicing cost is becoming increasingly high and additional debt is still being taken to service the deficit. Worse off is that it is being used on recurrent items and unproductive things like managing subsidy.

That I think is the main issue

Maybe you are trolling the Obidients by supporting BAT, but it is glaring that nothing will change.

Nigeria is at the lowest of its lows; We are spending 91% of our revenue to service gbese. So how will BAT fund all those stuffs on his manifesto?

Let me guess? Don't ask, just believe.

Nigeria is finished, but let us pretend that BAT is coming to do something
To be fair, the Ideal thing to measure is Debt to GDP especially at the national level. Hence the reason why its important what the debt is being used for

“Sarri Out” - He wasn't exactly brilliant (I mean someone who gave us Jogginhoe huh) but won the Europa League
“Lampard Out” - Did an OK job stabilising the team given the ban and all that but he thought he had arrived by becoming a cross and nod merchant. He kept asking for new toys but his cluelessness was glaring to everyone besides his fan boys.
“Tuchel Out” - Won the UCL + 2 other trophies with the same set of players we were told are not good enough. His undoing was his inflexibility, forcing players to play out of position and some would say he wasted money on the wrong players. I think fingers should be pointed at Mr Boeli.
“Potter Out” - Not sure anyone likes this version of Potterball. No ideas, no strategy, does not inspire confidence and took the meaning of playing out of position to a whole new level.

Midfield - There are new faces within the squad but not used or used sparingly. Whose fault is that?

So yeah coaching will always be part of the problem but the hope is that the likes of Enzo, Datro, Badiashile, Nkunku will cook once/when/if they come in.
Like to say I agree with most of this

Big TT fan here. There was data stuff by Boehly and then there was just poor transfer nous and squad management from TT. We have to admit. For once, TT had what was a blank cheque, to build a proper squad. He could have pointed to anything he wanted, and he would have got it. Those guys were ready to spend. But he squandered it.

If TT had managed the midfield needs very well, then one could argue that there probably will be no need for Enzo now. Fine player but like you opined, worth less than £10m only 6 months ago. To say we have seriously overpaid, is a grand understatement.

And yes, the same energy will be applied to Potter when he's given £400m worth of players.
To be fair to TT, and unlike Conte and Jose, he has repeatedly said that he doesnt like to be involved in transfers and other parts of football management. These were part of the recurring issues he had with the Psg management.

I am bad at something, I dont like to do it; I dont think I should get the total blame when it goes wrong. Do we not even have a scout in the team or what is their JD. What good is a blank cheque when it should have gone to a proper professional

I have said it repeatedly here that bar Aubameyang and Kimpembe, I just couldnt see the connections between our purchases and TT. No past comments or admiration whatsoever for these targets considering they were majorly PL players. Even the Gordon chase didnt add up.

TT probably just acceded to what he was shown especially from the data angle. We are seeing the same thing happening recently. Why is it Boehly everyone is questioning?

Also our problem goes beyond the midfield irrespective of what anyone thinks. I wont lie, Im just waiting for this guy to get fired quickly, lets see what the next guy has in store for us
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga)Re: Official Chelsea Fan Thread: Club World Cup Champions 2025-2029 by User09: 10:45pm On Jan 02, 2023
What is this Boehly blame I see going round?, I hope you all maintain the same energy by blaming Potter for all the money spent as u did for Tuchel.

As far as I'm concerned Potter is also responsible for this transfer especially for someone who cost 10 million just 7months back and hasnt played that much in Europe

Blaming TT for everything that went wrong despite it being clear Boehly was chasing his own agenda with the data sports crap.
