this is a poor mindset...no course is superior, gone are those days of arts vs science debates,every course has its challenges and are equally as important just the sick mindset Nigerians have.

No one is saying that one is not important! I respect each & every field of study!
I also know that each field has its own challenges, but those challenges can't be equal. Could you compare a first class student in Hausa education to a first class student in Chemical Engineering?

NB: I am a first class student in Electrical Engineering from a reputable federal university. So, I think I deserve to talk in this aspect.

Yes people that is as correct as it comes, nobody said what base you should use, so these types of aptitude questions will usually have different methods of answering, but if you can show them how you came up with the answer and if it's authentic then you are correct. Like here, the largest number in base₅ is 4, so when you add 11₅ and 13₅ you get 24₅ then because 4₅ is the last number just like 9₁₀ in base₁₀, when you add 1₅ you get a 0₅ then you carry a 1₅ then you should get 30₅.

Yes! I argued with my friends for long about that the base is not stated, As an electrical engineer, I made them understand 'addition' is a redundant word. It could be binary or oct addition.

The authorities of Ahmadu Bello University (ABU) Zaria, is to graduate 33 first class students and 360 PhD students out of 14,000 graduates to be conferred with various degrees and postgraduate degrees for the 37th convocation ceremony to hold on Saturday.

The vice chancellor of the university, Professor Abdullahi Mustapha stated this during a media chat with journalists on the 37th convocation ceremony sheduled to hold on Saturday,

Mustapha said the university has produced 33 first class students and 1273 second class upper degrees out of the total of 9,232 undergraduates while 360 PhD students were graduating out of 4835 postgraduate students respectively.

According to him the ceremony also provide avenue for the conferment of certificates and honorary degrees to deserving personalities who have excelled in various works of life.

He stated that the university is to honour Dr Bukar Usman with Doctor of Letters, Alh. Shetima Ali Mungunu with Doctor of Law, while HRH Halal Bin Abdulazeez Al-Saud would be honoured with Doctor of Science.

The VC said during its 50th anniversary the university have introduced Sardauna Award and also VC Award which would only be given to notable individuals, groups of lecturers.
