We have many things to learn from these individuals rather than calling them names such as corrupt, looters etc.

These great men started the game very early and they rightly choose the best of friends for themselves.

Corrupt or not, is their problem.

Islam for Muslims / Re: The Nullifiers Of Islam – Shaykhul Islam Muhammad Ibn Abdulwahhab(رحمه الله) by usmanktg2(m): 12:18pm On Dec 16, 2016
It is so pathetic how some people will be advertising their aqeeda on a general forum like this, just because they are Moderators.

The deviant sufis and shi'as are guilty of this

It is highly pathetic to see the OP calling other muslims deviant just because they are not of the same creed. This post broke the following rules.

2. Don't abuse, bully, deliberately insult/provoke, fight, or wish harm to Nairaland members OR THEIR TRIBES.
3. Don't threaten, support or DEFEND violent acts against any person, tribe, race, animals, or group (e.g. rape).
7. Don't say, do, or THREATEN to do anything that's detrimental to the security, success, or reputation of Nairaland.

If the OP really wanted to preach something good:

1. Why must you call other muslims deviant?
2. Why must you advertise your Creed?
3. Why must you advertise your Shaykh, Abdulwahab.

You can pass the message without all these, I am No SHIA, but this is the truth, take it or leave it.

I hope you will look into this matter, Mr Seun.

Islam for Muslims / Re: It's Maulid Nabiyy, Let's Celebrate Our Prophet. by usmanktg2(m): 2:34pm On Dec 12, 2016
Lukay99:

Assalam alaykum is Maulud really part of Islam?

There is nothing in the Qur’aan to say that we should celebrate the Mawlid or birthday of the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him). The Prophet himself (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) did not do this or command anyone to do it, either during his lifetime or after his death. Indeed, he told them not to exaggerate about him as the Christians had exaggerated about Jesus (upon whom be peace). He said: “Do not exaggerate about me as the Christians exaggerated about the son of Maryam. I am only a slave, so say, ‘The slave of Allaah and His Messenger.’” (Reported by al-Bukhaari). What has been reported is that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) made the day of his birth a day of worship, which is different to celebration. He was asked about fasting on Mondays, and he said: “That is the day on which I was born and the day on which I was entrusted with the Mission or when I was first given Revelation.” (Reported by Muslim, al-Nisaa’i and Abu Dawood).

Moreover, we know that the Sahaabah (may Allaah be pleased with them) were the people who loved the Prophet most. Was it reported that Abu Bakr, who was the closest of people to him and the one who loved him the most, celebrated the birthday of the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him)? Was it reported that ‘Umar, who ruled for twelve years, or ‘Uthmaan, did this? Was it reported that ‘Ali, his relative and foster son, did this? Was it reported that any of the Sahaabah did this? No, by Allaah! Is it because they were not aware of its importance, or did they not truly love the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him)? No one would say such a thing except one who has gone astray and is leading others astray.

Did any of the imaams – Abu Haneefah, Maalik, al-Shaafi’i, Ahmad, al-Hasan al-Basri, Ibn Seereen – do this or command others to do it or say that it was good? By Allaah, no! It was not even mentioned during the first and best three centuries. The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said in a saheeh hadeeth: “The best of mankind are my generation (or my century), then those who come after them, then those who come after them. Then there will come a people who will not care if their testimony comes before their oath or vice versa (i.e., they will not take such matter seriously).” (Reported by al-Bukhaari, Muslim and al-Tirmidhi). The celebration of the Prophet’s birthday appeared many centuries later, when many of the features of true religion had vanished and bid’ah had become widespread.

Are you done? I am Not Interested, Bidah or not, is your problem, not ours.

Happy Maulid

Danmaiduguri:

Every form of ibadah(worship) in islam are instructed and backed by either Quran verses or Sahih hadith.
who told u to celebrate maulid? The prophet never celebrated it during his entire time, his companions never did it, The Tabiun and tabiunat tabiin never celebrated it? Abubakar RA, umar RA, Uthman RA, Ali RA. These Great Caliphs never did it during their leadership. They are called khilafatul nubuwwa (The leadership similar to the leadership of Propher Muhammad SAW). The prophet said "The best of people are my generation then, those after them then, Those coming after them"

The four caliphs Abubakar RA, Umar RA, Uthman RA, Ali RA never celebrated it.
The Great imams Shafi'i, Abu hanifa, ibn Hanbal, imam malik, they never celebrated it.
Why?? Did they forget to do it? Is it because they hav no knowledge of it? Did the refuse to do it because of ignorance? Or they refuse to do it Because they think celebrating maulid is Bidi'a that is why the did'nt? Yes.

The prophet said "_Every innovation(Bidi'a) leads one Astray and Every Astray goes to hell fire"Muslim nd nasa'i.
Maulid is any Innovation(Addition to what prophet teach us)

That is your problem not mine.

Do you love the prophet more than the prophet himself, his companions who spent time with him (sahaba), those who follow them (ta'abihi) and those after them (tabatabihi) or the four imams.
This Bidia (innovation) came years after the death of rosul, it's never supported by those who love the prophet and in fact they discourage it. So, don't encourage it if you love sunnah. But as a lover of Bidia, you will always find excuses to justify the act
was sallam

Why can't you stop this nonsense for once please, Forget the fact that am doing Maulid. Let us celebrate our Prophet SAW. Is that bid'a also?

May the good times and treasures of the present become the golden memories of tomorrow by virtue of Prophet Muhammad.
Wish you lots of love, joy and happiness.

Rather, you should bring evidences where MAULID is permissible. The fatwa you copy and pasted on the other thread, I will be replying to that in sha Allah. The OP provided clear evidences that state that it is not permissible. MAULID was not known during the time of the prophet (peace and blessing be upon him), his sahabas or the righteous predecessors.

The prophet himself mentioned that these are the best generation when he ( peace and blessing be upon him) mentioned: “The best people are those of my generation, then those who come after them, then those who come after them. Then, there will come people whose witness will precede their oaths and whose oaths will precede their witness.” Sahih Bukhari 6065, Sahih Muslim 2533

In addition to that, birthdays have pagan origin and are prohibited in general.
Lastly, celebrations that are done yearly are considered EID in Islam. We have only two eids- Eid-al-Fitr and Eid al-Adha.

Maulid is not mentioned in the Hadith.
In fact, saying "MAULID IS BIDAH", is the greatest Bid'a.

You are making haram what Allah had not not made haram.
