My friend my friend grin see as I dey dance Azonto for office as if I win Lottery .God will perfect all that concerns you.

Quickly do the needful.

quote author=mamajaz post=55345706]Kereoo! Kereooo!! Kereoooo!!!, This is to inform every family member here that mamajaz of chief bellong's Australia thread page on Nairaland has defeated IELTS arms down in the test which was conducted on 25th March 2017, LRW (7), S (7.5).
She can now confidently proceed to register with AHPRA.
I wanna register my thanks to the almighty God for connecting me with all efam members here.
Special thanks to bimsy ( the first person that counsel me to write IELTS, however, I stubbornly went after PTE-A the second time), Jamson, who sacrificed much to come and tutor me in Ilesha ( he came all the way from Akure), Bnimz who kept encouraging me all the way, Mctowel01 my tutor per excellent ( a no nonsense critic, who kept reading & correcting my wayo essays all along).
To my lovely sisters in the house, Utcheylee, we started the race for PTE-A, you kept supporting me all along, you're a noble woman, and I appreciate your doggedness. God in His unfailing mercies will say "Yes" to your dreams.
Sister, Teejay80 can't go for nothing less than a darling, supportive, loving, a wonderful counselor who when I told her that the IELTS woman was writing 5.5, 5.5, 6, 9, during my speaking, sister Teejay80 told me not to be moved by what I see...
Nkechima, I can't stop appreciating you, your soothing words were always timely.
I'm most grateful to everybody in the family for encouraging me when I was about giving up on English.
To this end I want to encourage all of us to keep shooting at the moon, so that we will land amidst the stars ( worst scenario).
Permit me to end this brief narration that "when a man's time has not come, the man is a FOOL".
A louder Amen to this prayer

mamajaz:
Prayer time..

Knock, knock, knock....is anybody home??
I wish all of us a happy new month. May we all march into the realm of supernatural where no: English tests will defeat us, case officer will make us sad, vetasses and other assessing authorities will dampen our spirits, and aspirations.
I pray God will make this month a month of innumerable GRANTS, record breaking successes in English tests, and more than enough positive assessments.
Overall, I pray that dollar will fall! and fall!! and falllll!!!!!!!! by faayaaaaaaaaaaa....., such that people in the USA, UK, Canada, Australia, Europe etc will be so happy with this prayers and release so much hard currencies to mamajazzy's dorm account. ..
Can I hear an amen? A louder amenhuh

Congratulations on your positive assessment. Please I sent you a PM yesterday I need clarifications if someone with philosophy degree from UI can assess the same skill.

I also have few things I need to ask you my email is ucheokonji@yahoo.com.incase you're having issues with the PM.

Thanks

quote author=Yeeshas post=53932918]Hi everyone, I got my positive assessment from VETASSES today!

I will like to say a big thank you first to Bellong and every other person on this thread that has been giving out information as well as answering to all inquiries. May God bless you and yours!

I have been a silent reader on this thread and it has been of such tremendous help to me! I read from page one to 177! I check every night to see if the new page has been updated. Lol. I do it religiously.

Okay. Enough of the long story. I wanted to wait till I got my grant before writing this post but I thought just like Mr Bellong dished out information withoutholding back (which largely influenced my positive assessment) I would not want to wait as I know there are people who have questions regarding VETASSES assessment.sorry for the long post. Just saying a big thank you. I am most grateful.
PS: I'm writing my PTE test next week. Thanks again.
@mctowel yes they have moved but in the same area 63 Ogunlana drive for people that needs the address.

They have cameras in Bellaz and not just the glass door as you stated cheesy I just wrote another test with them for the 4th time. cryanyway that's story for another day.

quote author=mctowel01 post=53152484]
I just heard they ve changed location, so I.might not be accurate. Anyway, its still the same closed fitted room, microphone and just that you are being watched from a glass in bellaz as against from a CCTV in Ukeas.
No much difference honestly... just ensure you test the microphone properly and be satisfied with the output before beginning, irrespective of how the admin will tell you otherwise.

@ Bnimz, I do not think it is hard for someone to convert 489 to 887 as long as you either work part or full time also you can still get a professional jobs with 489.

I have a friend in NT that went with 489 in 2014, he is a lecturer (Dr)in one of the university they just got their PR late last year I believe everything is God grace and favor.

You can imagine Northern territory that always issue 489 even when you apply for 190 and they are the only state that nominate your skill what will the person do reject it and stay in Naija because it's 489.

quote author=Bnimz post=53122013]I have a downside to tell you about... extensive search of the job websites in Australia has made it evident to me that there is one major requirement to get most professional jobs... "Applicant must be a Citizen or a Permanent Resident" ... with any other visa, 489 included, its quite difficult to get jobs in your own profession... na low-key jobs pesin go dey mainly do.... 489 costs the same as the others... more actually, each region in NSW for example charges extra A$770 for the application... so, what bellong said is understandable - if you qualify for 189 or 190, its better to do them straight up...

And theres another issue.. converting to Permanent resident visa 887 from 489 depends on having a job for 12 months out of the two years.... now we dont know whether that job has to be a professional job...and we've already established that professional jobs are hard to get on that visa.
Congratulations funkyjo on your Ita. I really need to confirm about spouse transcript form everyone. I understand you either do the English test or get "to whom it may concern" from your spouse university. Now, do we need to add transcript as well? I thought it's just the English language proficiency/ certificate and if yes, does it apply to all kinds of visa sub class or just 189?

I am kind of confused here and also what if my spouse is a businessman what happens.

I need clarifications.

Thanks Jamson hmmmm Na to think of a way to convince him to write this exam oooooooo

quote author=jamson post=52256716]

Ordinarily, a letter of proficiency would suffice. But a case was brought up on this same thread where the CO rejected the letter and instead asked for an English test result.

So I guess it is a matter of who is reviewing who and as for me ooo, I have taken my wife to write PTE to avoid stories that touch the heart with unnecessary delay.
Hello everyone is it necessary for our spouse to write English test when nominating 190 or 489 visa? Should we just use to whom it may concern from his school.

I know that the next pte test will be my last so am putting all documents together.

Anyone here nominating Nt is still in the process of applying for the SS so I doubt if all of us can answer that question.

Like I said earlier join or search for expatforum for NT and get more information that you needed, they also have a WhatsApp group but you have to ask questions in the forum up to 5 times for you to gain assess to the group.

All the best in your search

My little cent and finding about NT for you to get a 190 you must have a job offer and a close family/friend living in that place. Also the chances for 190 is 2/10 but you can never say you might be lucky to be among the few.

You can check expat forum on Nt to read more also
gurus in the house can help out too

amanda0:
