I experienced chicken pox,
I didn't go to school then until it disappeared to avoid infecting other pupils and I was so happy then cause i didn't like going to school then, One thing about it is that you can't suffer it twice

My mum took very care of us and we never experienced others except Pimple's at my adolescent age

Career / Re: Tea-pickers In Kenya Are Destroying Machines Meant To Replace Them In Protest by uyams(m): 8:20am On Jun 18, 2023
This is a general thing, for e.g in banking sector here in nigeria, the recent cashless policy has introduced large chunk of bank customer's to banks alternative channel's such as there mobile Apps,POS and ATMs thereby gradually killing tellers Job slowly, cos if the customer's can now transact from comfort of there office's and shops with there mobile apps and Pos, then there's no need for there physical presence in the bank, even the Little money the are able to generate, with the way mobile POS services are littered everywhere, the don't need bank again to deposit it

So is it in many other sector's,

We all just av to get ready for the massive Technological revolution gradually creeping in world wide,

E go reach everybody

Jobs/Vacancies / Re: Stanbic Ibtc Contract Staff Pls Help by uyams(m): 7:30pm On Feb 19, 2022
OP, I will advice you to grab the job although the pay is low compared with what other banks pays there contract staff tellers.

If u are good, friendly and able to wow your customers, you u will build up customers that will always drop tips after there transactions and this will go along way and u might end up not touching ur salary.

Tellering will enable you to meet prominent people which you won't even be able to talk to on a normal day on the road and most times the are willing to exchange contacts with you so the can be using you e.g calling to help you inquire something from you cos the believe you know ,giving them express service when the come to bank, etc, but don't let it get into your head cos once you vacate that position, the drop u like hot shit and move to the newest teller, but if u play ur card well you use them to ur advantage

Just accept it, save like no tomorrow and move on to a better opportunity, Just know by entering as a poly graduate, the are beating you 1-0, the dichotomy in that industry is real

Other things u will learn on the job, Goodluck

It's not interesting o, it's the fact. If interested, talk to a stockbroker. Most of the stockbroking houses are in Lagos but ask around if any has a branch in Aba. I honestly don't know much about the price of land outside Lagos so unfortunately can't advice in regards to pricing.
If you can't find stockbrokers to help you with bonds then try Treasury Bills. You can buy TB from your bank. For TB ,you may not get double digit interest like FG bonds but both your principal and interest are 100% guaranteed.
If you need a chartered stockbroker, I can recommend mine but I will prefer you do the work first by getting one over there in Aba wink
Just protect your funds and don't be desperate so you don't fall into wrong hands.
If you build up the funds more, you may save up enough to eventually afford to buy a titled land with the property on it.

Thanks for ur advice, I will research on it

Congratulations OP. It depends on the city, that your budget is still very low for a developed area in a place like Lagos. Don't lose your money to fraudsters o.
Why not grow that fund by investing your funds in FG savings bond with guaranteed return and zero risk? With Federal Government bonds, you will take your interest every quarter and your principal will drop directly into your account at maturity.

My city is Abia, Aba precisely, The bond stuff sound's interesting but I don't know how it works

I am a young man in my mid 20's, I was able to save up some money from my work but am not using it for now for anything. I opened a target savings account with my bank with the promise of higher interest but the difference in not much with normal savings account.

I wanted to buy keke napep on and give someone but I was discouraged by my sister and friend I told, saying most of them are not faithful and considering the nature of my Job, I don't have time to supervise it

I decided to buy land and told my friend who connected me with some agents, the have showed me different areas but my problem is most of the places the are showing are unlively and bushy with scanty buildings, it dulls my heart and makes me feel like keeping my money in the bank were I can be seeing it until I can save up enough money to buy property inside town that is already developed, but the agent's keeping telling me the developed places I admire was once like this and that area would soon develope but I keep asking when?? Because the area the are showing has thick Forest's although there are some ongoing projects around there

Please those that has bought land in developing areas, what was the experience like, what are the factors that made you believe it will develope? Is there any regret, am confused because I won't like to live there due to distance from office and don't think tenants will rent in such area.

Note: I have a budget of 2.5million, land 1.5 to 2 million, 500 thousand for agent fee, surveying and possible fencing.

if I was a state governor in Nigeria, I will construct gates on my border's and Mount CCTV camera's to be reporting direct to my office and at least two security personnel's from my office to be changed regularly to represent me at the border's

I will also inform all traditional ruler's whose community lies along the border that the will be dethroned if the allow motorists create a passage way through there kingdom's and a reward for whistle blowers because you don't expect every state to be tied down because we don't know when this is ending and i don't trust out security personnel's in enforce inter state travel restrictions because the are corrupt

my was last year with a multi national company, I took there aptitude taste and passed successfully and we the successful one's were told to go that the would contact us, after some weeks I woke up one morning and saw a message from the company inviting me for an interview, and that I should meet Mr.ken(not real name when I arrive) when i get to the venue by 9a.m
I hurriedly prepared and rushed down to the venue, mind you it was in a neighboring state,so I arrived late around after 10a.m, luckily for me others that came were still waiting, then I asked about Mr.ken as instructed by the message, the showed me his office, I knocked and entered and saw 2 guys, I greeted them and the asked me how the may help me,I told them am looking for Mr.ken and showed them instruction in the message, the asked me if am ready for the interview, I said yes(but I wasn't) na so the start bombard me with question, and oh mehn.. I failed woefully but to my greatest surprise after a week, the company invited me for another interview and this time I was at my best, and God did it for me I got the Job
