Epaul:Hmmm.. how will God give different revelations to his self acclaimed servants? That is d simple question!! |
Tallesty1:Man, stop being deluded on religion.. it is a biggest scam.. Do you know how many people have died in the hands of Boko haram from January 2014 to March 2015? And you have the guts to say Boko haram has reduced right? Maybe the armies of Waring nations should down their tools and embrace prayers at points of warfare.. Pastor and bishops tried to make predictions based on antecedents and past trends then call it prophecy and you just jump at it and claim he is god sent.. Religion os the opium of the masses. I can bet folks like you voted based on religious sentiments, that's if you even voted. Hate it or love it, God has no religion!!! |
Tallesty1:So who are these righteous men of God? If 11 highly placed Nigerian pastors said God showed them that 2015 will be like june 12 yet nothing never happend, means followers are simply deluded.. Maybe d God that created the Christians is different frm the one that created the Muslims and Buddhist n the likes of others.. Man, God has no religion.. he isn't that small to be confined in some spot and have mere mortals speak fir him. Religion is hoax.. they study trends, then make predictions and called them prophecies for their gullible followers like you.. |
obiak4:Na so.. men u vouch for.. can de God de claim de speak for vouch for dem? How come their prophecies failed? Or where they mere predictions? Or they changed God's mind? |
TheMascot:And ppl are still so gullible.. |
Tallesty1:And how long have they prayed? They prayed against Boko haram saying that god said it was ending January 2014, but it's tarried past that time. Please stop these bandwagon of deluded and brainwashed humans who clclaim to hear from God and speak for God. Last Sunday, my friend said his pastor ordered they praise God for 30minutes that God requested for it and afterwards he prophesied that GEJ will win.. Crap!! That's why we are Africans!! Always depending on the supernatural god that has failed us for years, yet the europeans that live and dwell in the natural are miles ahead of us.. |
Prixus:Fact!! Very true.. Fake men of God.. |
obiak4:Hmmmm.. me think that there are no men of Jah o.. all na hogwash!! |
Alot of prophecies that GEJ will win, and there will be civil unrest were recorded prior to the election. For some, it's exactly one week from the time this prophecies were declared and while for others it's been a while from that instance till now. These bandwagon of self acclaimed 'men of God' , claimed that they are all speaking for one God and they further went on to share their account to their member and the world at large of what was revealed to them from the supernatural. Now that their prophecies have failed, how should members who get to fellowship with these 'men of God' have to deal with this prophecies gone wrong? Could it be that God chose to act differently from what he revealed to them? And why would God really have to that? Or could it be that these highly placed pastors are fake men of god? Or could it be that this God concept is a hoax? Should members still carry on with their fellowship and listen to their teachings? How can it be proved that their teachings and claims of 'God said' & 'God sent me to tell you' gist are true? |

Can corruption fight corruption? |
obiZEAL: in his dreams.. |
BossTtdiamonds:Lool.. He really does!! |
He is even putting poverty at 33.1% and not over 70%. This president is a joker... |
After 5years, he is still campaigning with the premise "I will". Shameful!!! A president who is yet to make his asset declaration public wants us to believe he has the will to fight corruption? Another 4years with him will be a recipe for disaster. During the debate, he was quizzed about corruption and how he will fight it, he gave a sick analogy that capital punishment on armed robbers hasn't stopped robbery so it won't stop corrupt public office holders from looting FG wether or not the law existed. But I wish I could ask him that, if there was no capital punishment law for robbers, doesn't he think there wouldn't have been more robbers who will rob n kill for fun? The existence of the law will detest people from towing that path, and only dare devils will go on to test the wrath of the law. Look at China, compare drug smuggling then n now, and tell me if there hasn't been an improvement. Only dare devils will want to test it, and when they are caught, they are executed, and that is enough to have a potential smuggler rethink about wether or not to venture on that path of dishonest, and risky earnings. |
President Goodluck Jonathan has promised to eradicate corruption in the nation’s oil sector in the next four years if re-elected during Saturday’s Presidential election. Jonathan made the promise in Lagos Sunday evening at a youth event, tagged, “An unimaginable feat in sports”. The event was meant to showcase his administration’s achievements in the sports sector. The event which ended in the early hours of Monday attracted sports men and women, young professionals as well as beneficiaries of the Federal Government’s scholarship schemes, among others. While answering questions from one of the participants during an interactive session at the event, the President promised to end the stigmatisation of Nigerians in the international community because of corruption. He said his administration had succeeded in using technology to tackle corruption in many areas, such as fertilizer distribution, procurement and salary payment, among others, and will do the same in the oil industry. He said, “We are going into the oil sector. People talk about the oil industry because that is an industry with a lot of people and a lot of money is involved. “But I promise you that in the next four years, we will sanitise the oil sector.” Jonathan regretted that the issue of corruption is being over-celebrated in a manner that makes it looks as if the whole of the country is corrupt. He said all Nigerians must work together to ensure that the stigmatisation of Nigerians is cleared. The President also promised to work with the young people because of his conviction that parents who do not encourage young ones are preparing their families for extinction. Specifically, he promised that he would give more youths under the age of 40 years more opportunities to serve as ministers and heads of government parastatals. He said, “Before he left to go and participate in election as deputy governorship candidate in Jigawa State, Nurudeen (former Minister of State, Foreign Affairs) was a minister and he is below 40. “Last week, we swore in the youngest female minister. She is also about 40 years old. “Apart from cabinet positions for under 40s, we are also appointing young people as heads of parastatals. “We want to continue to encourage those in youth-dominated sectors, such as business, sports and entertainment industries too. “I can assure you that we shall not go below what are currently doing. I know you want more, vote for us and you will get it.” Answering a question on poverty rate in the country, Jonathan put it at 33.1 percent, as against the over 60 percent that he said some people were brandishing. He however added that the issue is not about the percentage but about the desire of his government to impact more on the lives of the people. On the health sector, Jonathan highlighted the feats being achieved by some tertiary health institutions in the country in the areas of kidney transplant and heart surgeries. He also mentioned the successes recorded in the fight against the Ebola Virus Disease, guinea worm as well as polio. He promised to do more for the sector, if re-elected. Jonathan also reiterated his promise to institute special funds to assist sports men and women, if re-elected. Overall, he said better days were ahead for the country under his leadership. http://www.punchng.com/news/oil-sector-corruption-to-end-in-four-years-jonathan/ |
That's a Nigerian Airforce helicopter that should have been deployed to the frontline in transporting military hardware inorder to assist the soldiers effectively combat Boko haram, but it's used to ferry the wife of a failed president, fuelled n maintained with taxpayers money. |
South African doctors have confirmed that they performed the world’s first successful penis transplant, three months after conducting the ground-breaking operation. The 21-year-old patient had his penis amputated three years ago after a botched circumcision at a traditional initiation ceremony. In a nine-hour operation at the Tygerberg Hospital in Cape Town on December 11 last year, he received his new penis from a deceased donor. “We’ve proved that it can be done — we can give someone an organ that is just as good as the one that he had,” said Professor Frank Graewe, head of plastic reconstructive surgery at Stellenbosch University. “It was a privilege to be part of this first successful penis transplant in the world.” Doctors said the man, whose identity has not been disclosed, has made a full recovery since the operation and had regained all his urinary and reproductive functions. In 2006, a Chinese man had a penis transplant but his doctors removed the organ after two weeks due to “a severe psychological problem of the recipient and his wife.” http://www.punchng.com/news/south-africa-claims-first-successful-penis-transplant/ |
alabijohn:Yes we do!! We are heading to hell with this government in power. |
So that means there wouldn't be any capital project in Nigeria? That money can't fund the cost of building the Niger bridge, neither can it fund construction of Lagos-Ibadan expressway. It's becoming clearer by the day that this government is a failure. A slash from N100bn to N11bn for Ministry of works is appalling, yet the president feeding budget is N4bn, and diezianni had spent N10bn on private jet charter. Not forgetting that the PDP generated about N21bn to fund it's 6weeks campaign. I still can't figure out why people are still to gullible to follow GEJ when they are tell signs that this guy can't do nothing. Do you know how much Saudi Arabia saved during the period of the oil boom? Yet we squandered our savings during the oil peak season and now expect miracles to happen. We are suffering now because of the corruption in GEJ led government. Ngozi Iweala lied to Nigerians that we won't feel the impact of the falling oil price, and that the Naira will bounce back, and that we have enough money in our reserve. Now where are we? With the impending job cuts looming in all sector of the economy, the job market will be full to the brim. The FG can't even pay salaries to it's workers any longer. GEJ had a golden platform to cement his name in the good books of Nigeria history, because the revenue inflow he had from oil sales was so massive, but yet he chose to follow that wrong path of his predecessors, looting without remorse. He has to go!!! #March4Buhari!!! |
The Minister of Works, Mike Onolememen, said the ministry’s N100bn proposed budget for 2015 was slashed by the Ministry of Finance to N11bn, representing an 89 per cent slash. Onolememen, who was in the Senate to defend his ministry’s estimates for the fiscal year, added that no sum was approved for the Federal Roads Maintenance Agency’s capital projects and the Office of the Surveyor -General of the Federation. He said the Finance ministry predicated its action on the economic realities on the ground. The minister expressed concern that only 33 out of the 210 ongoing road projects had been provided for in view of the “lean allocation” to the ministry. He also said the provision was not sufficient to encourage contractors to sustain appreciable progress on their work sites. Onolememen added, “No provisions have been made for other departments of the ministry such as Road and Bridge Design Department, Mechanical and Electrical Department and the Service Department.” The minister also disclosed that since 2011, the ministry had always been owed outstanding budgeted funds. He said, “Only N45, 682, 844, 395.00bn was released for the works ministry out of 2014 capital appropriation of N98, 814, 368, 704bn . This leaves a balance of N53, 131, 524, 309.00 not released as of December 2014. “It is important to emphasise that the performance of the ministry would have been considerably enhanced if the outstanding budgeted funds of N53.131bn had been released to the ministry. “More importantly, if the cumulative outstanding budgeted funds of N203, 392, 075, 947.25 for the period spanning 2011 to 2014 had been released, the total indebtedness would have been brought down from N230bn to N27bn” He however said that due to the lean capital budget, a model of Public Private Partnership was being explored to ensure that more capital projects were carried out this year. Most members of the Senate Committee on Works described the budget of the ministry as laughable . The Chairman of the committee, Ayogu Eze, said the budget was very terrible for a sector that needs at least N500bn annually for road construction and maintenance. “To now be given just N11bn, means the ministry would need a magician to perform wonders. “The picture being painted by this budget profile is very grim. We are in a period of crisis which we must all manage very critically.” http://www.punchng.com/news/fg-slashes-works-ministrys-budget-from-n100bn-to-n11bn/ |
ojaydedon:So if there was no light, it means we should rather continue to stay in darkness than aim for the best. 2wrongs never make a right. I must say, there was better power supply during Obasanjo regime than this regime. The president cannot choose to evade criticisms and avoid blames when he fails, and then only wants to be celebrated over success. For a president to still have an Abba Moro serving in his cabinet speaks a lot of about his government. For GEJ to have nominated Obanikoro to become a minister should sent shock waves across the minds of Nigerians, and they should be asking questions, if this man really means us well. Obanikoro indicted the president on the #Ekitigate saga, but the president denied that the recordings were false amidst testimonies from the participants (Omisore, Obanikoro, Fayose, et al) that they were there. No democratically elected government Nigeria has ever used the military to rig an election, but GEJ has broken that record and has soiled the name of the Nigerian military. For GEJ to appoint Fani Kayode as his campaign director, a man who is standing trial for corruption should quicken our minds to the kind of leadership we have at the top. Why are our refineries not fixed? Why was Ajaokuta steel not fixed? Why is power getting from nad to worse? Why was the 2nd Niger bridge not built in his 6yrs stay, with all the high revenue the country had ever recorded from crude produce? Why is our foreign reserve account so low? Why would the president say stealing is not corruption, and even try to defend such a stupid comment in another media chat? Why is diesel and kerosene still so expensive, despite the fall in oil prices? Why is corruption in government left so unabated? Why couldn't Okonjo Iweala defend the statement made by Soludo that N30tn is missing under this administration? Why hasn't the chibok girls been rescued, despite the fact that the president denied that they were even missing? Why has GEJ feeding money increased from 1Nbn to N4bn, where government should be cutting down it's cost of governance? Why has Diezianni Madueke never been tried for misappropriating N10bn to herself for private jet charter on personal trips, or do they think Nigerians are fools? Where are the 200buses we were promised from the SURE-P funds? GEJ has fail!! |
menesheh:No, but GEJ was never nice and disciplined. Infact before his ascension to the no.1 seat, he had an allegation of looting bayelsa state government funds. Look at the cabals surrounding GEJ and look at the cabals surrounding GMB, you will know that PDP are full grown Devils while APC are mere demons. |
SHOPPERS:You couldn't disprove any of the facts. |
tomber:Senseless comment. If Buhari is a Boko haram sponsor and apologist as you alleged and hasn't been picked up for interrogation yet, it clearly states that you leader is indept and clueless. If you are a terrorist in the US or has alleged links to a dreaded terror group, they will pick you up for questioning and then closely monitor you. Late General Azazi said, PDP are Boko haram and guess what happend after, he died in a suspicious chopper ride on his return from Oronto Douglas father's burial. Look the earlier you stop pointing fingers of a failed government to individuals, the better. The military has been highly politicized and compromised all because of bad leadership. A fish starts to rots from the head and not from the tail. If someone comes to your house and tries to burgle it infront of you what will you do? Will you start searching for who sent them? Or will you be asking them what they came for? Or will you be standing and watching them fully tear down your doors apart? And when they are done burgling, you will stat saying they were sent by your neigbhours, enemies, witches and wizards and all? You will rise up to defend your house. If you stand and watch them burgle and succed, then I'd say you maybe irresponsible and don't care much about the house, properties in it or the occupants in it, and that is irresponsibility!!! Stop the ethnic bigotry!! A lot of little countries have taken swipes on us, even Robert Mugabe, ANC youth leader in South africa, took a swipe on us. The corruption in the military has been left so unabated and it's eating so deep into our mindset. Two wrongs never make a right!!you can't just stat saying, corruption didn't start from this government that's why we are facing it, or Terrorism is a global thing, and Nigeria is facing it too. Those are irrresponsible comments I have oveeheead the president say on countless occasions!! |
blackfase:Lool. I de find pro-Gej activist to come to his defense |
Dear President Goodluck Jonathan: It was with rude shock and utter disbelief that I received the news that you had the legally required 25 percent in 28 states plus Federal Capital Territory in the presidential election of April 16, 2011. According to the 1999 constitution, a winner needs the majority of votes and at least 25 percent of votes in 24 states of the 36 states of the federation. According to Chairman of the Independent Electoral Commission, you won 25 percent of votes in 28 states, leaving your closest rival, Gen. Muhammadu Buhari of the Congress for Progressive Change (CPC) with victories in only 12 states. As expected, you and your cronies celebrated and popped the proverbial champagne. Recall sir, that in a widely circulated piece before your swearing in on May 29th 2011 and as one of your worst, albeit gracious, critics, I had issued a note of caution. Allow me to explain that the presidential victory of April 16th, 2011 was a victory for yourself and not necessarily for the PDP, of which you are a part and parcel. Sadly too, many of those who trusted and blindly voted for you have now regretted that decision cursing the day they thumb- printed their finger against your name. This should reveal without any equivocation that the elections were not driven by issues, but sentiments about personalities, religion and ethnicity – which you irreproachably milked to your ultimate advantage. It is my opinion that as a nation we should grow our democracy to achieve a situation whereby persons win elections on the basis of merit and actual performance not sentiments, and certainly not with the aid of financial inducements, blackmail and violence – tenets which have roundly deepened since your accession to power. I will not bore you with all the expectations Nigerians (the ones who voted for you, anyway) - I believe you know all of these and intend to meet all of them. As you commemorate three years of unhindered presidency and two years since your last election, intend to remind you of all the myriad of promises you made during your political campaigns as you traversed the nooks and crannies of Nigeria circa 2011. I cannot ever allow my extremely busy president, one who has been overwhelmed by his own transformative agenda the laborious task of a long comprehension. In essence, of my own generosity, I have listed only some of them for you below. 1. You promised to rule for only one term (reference http:// ow.ly/4KScO). Not that it mattered, as you’re not legally barred from seeking reelection. This reminder is only so a test of your mettle of honour as I see your lackey, Mr Asari Mujahid, making unsolicited pronouncements that have heated the polity. Mr President, as a man of your words or rather as you want to make us believe (http://ow.ly/4KSda), PLEASE stick to this plan and pledge. I sincerely hope also, you will not come out and openly deny you didn’t make such promise or statements as you did about the zoning saga. Anyway, I have provided links above and you may instruct your Israeli friends to pull these links offline. 2. You promised a constitutional role for Traditional Rulers!!! (http://ow.ly/4KSfI) I am short of words but Nigerians are waiting. But I assure you sir, with a few financial reports in the pockets of the traditional rulers, this is not a major promise to uphold, as like you, Nigerians may not give a ‘damn’ anyway. 3. On March 17th 2011, in Dutse the Jigawa state capital, you promised: “If I win the election, within my four years in office, I will establish domestic airports in all the states without airports,” (http://ow.ly/4KSgt). 4. In Nasarawa, at the flag-off of your campaign you promised at least a university in every state (http:// ow.ly/4KShX) including building specialist almajiri schools to shore up education in the North so as to eradicate illiteracy (http://ow.ly/4KSiK). It seems you have started on this one but a good number of the Almajiris are waiting! 5. On February 8th in Ibadan, the day you called some people "rascals", you promised to create jobs and improve the power sector (http://ow.ly/4KSlU). The Oyo people and indeed all Nigerians were all left in darkness last weekend! 6. On Feb 9th, you were in Bauchi and you promised to intensify oil and gas exploration in the North-East as part of efforts to harness resources for economic development. Also you pledged to boost agriculture, power and water supply for wealth creation and revenue generation. Then you assured that projects such as the Mambilla hydro- electricity, Jada irrigation project and Kafin Zaki dam in Taraba, Adamawa and Bauchi would be pursued to boost agriculture and industrial development (http:// ow.ly/4KSnF). Then you promised that your administration would establish two universities in the region. The NORTH EAST PEOPLE ARE STILL WAITING. 7. You landed in Port Harcourt on Feb 12 where you made a lot of promises, maybe to woo your Niger Delta people. Be that as it may, you announced that the NNPC, in partnership with the private sector, would establish a petrochemical plant in the Niger Delta (you didn’t state where exactly). You promised the plant would create job opportunities for Niger Delta youth. Then you went ahead to promise the implementation of Local Content Law and Petroleum Industry Bill (http://ow.ly/4KSpu). In case you can’t remember when you made all these, cast your mind back to the stampede that claimed some lives (where your wife called them martyrs!). 8. In Kaduna, you promised massive transformation of the agricultural sector through construction of large dams and distribution of one million metric tons of fertilizers for the 2011 farming season (http://ow.ly/4KSqE). The rains are here again, so fulfill your promises o. 9. In Benue, you promised to revolutionize agriculture and establish industries in the country through a five-year plan (We need that Plan now so we can keep track. Of the five years two years is already gone). You also promised to complete the irrigation project in Otukpo (http:// ow.ly/4KSsh). Then you promised that the second Niger Bridge and the Benue Bridge projects will be worked on in the next four years (http://ow.ly/4KStl). 10. February 17th, you were in Plateau where you shocked the entire country with amazing promises. First of all, you pledged to refocus on the solid mineral development of the state and make it one of the key revenue sources in Nigeria. Two years hence, the Plateau people are still banking on you. Mr President, You promised to build more dams and complete ongoing ones, so as to boost agricultural growth. In addition you promised to complete the Vom-Manchok- Jos road to boost economic links between Plateau and Kaduna states (http://ow.ly/4KSuz). You left the state and the Plateau people have been happy ever since and now that you have been president for two years, a progress report on that promise is in order. 11. Mr President on Feb 21, you were in Kogi. You promised among other things that the dredging of the River Niger and Lokoja-Abuja road dualisation would be completed very soon. (http://ow.ly/4KSvB) THE KOGI PEOPLE AND INDEED NIGERIANS ARE HOPING AND WAITING 12. In Kwara State on February 22, you pledged that the irrigation project in Shonga would be completed soon to boost the commercial farming activities of the New Nigeria Farmers in the area (http://ow.ly/4KSwn). Mr president, remember you also said the Jebba-Mokwa road and Jebba bridge would be given adequate attention to ease transportation in the area. Kwarans are await a report! 13. On February 24, Mr. President, you pledged to rehabilitate all ailing industries in Aba (http:// ow.ly/4KSxd). I believe all Abians are hoping on you to provide the enabling environment to do their businesses, you must keep your promises. 14. Mr. President, on Feb 25th in Anambra you said there is a plan to build a power station in the state, assuring that within the next four years your administration would construct and rehabilitate ALL federal roads leading to Anambra as well as the South East. You equally promised to provide potable water to the densely populated Onitsha and Nnewi cities (http://ow.ly/4KSyf) and tackle erosion in the South-East. To tell you the truth, Mr. President, Anambrans banked on you! 15. In Ebonyi state, you promised to dualize the Enugu- Abakaliki federal highway in addition (http://ow.ly/4KSza) to establishing a secretariat for ALL Federal government's agencies and parastatals in Ebonyi. Mr. President, the people of Ebonyi have never had it so good since the creation of their state. Now, you have promised them the good life. Please keep to your words! 16. In Niger state, you promised more power generation. Perhaps the most important aspect of your promises is that your government would map out a five-year strategic plan for road projects (http://ow.ly/4KSzL). 17. On Feb 27, you were in Asaba, the Delta state capital. On that fateful Sunday, you revealed that “The NNPC is developing a new programme that will absorb about 5,000 youths,” (http://ow.ly/4KSAO). Mr. President, Deltans were delighted at that REVELATION. While that number is a far cry from the number of unemployed youths in the state, at all at all na winch (as we say in Warri), so Deltans are waiting. 18. On March 2nd, you were in Ondo where you promised that roads and other basic infrastructure across the states will be developed in four years. In addition you also promised the exploitation of the vast bitumen deposits in the state for national economic development and employment generation (http://ow.ly/4KSFj). The Ondo people are waiting. Your Four years have started already. You must start now. 19. On the same day, March 2nd, your campaign train was in Ekiti state. While there, you promised that more than N50 billion federal intervention projects were ongoing in the state (http://ow.ly/4KSGb). You can rest assured that Fayemi and indeed the entire Ekiti kete are waiting for you. 20. On March 9th, in Sokoto, you promised to rehabilitate the abandoned Shagari irrigation project as well as reviving the nation's rail system and fight the menace of desertification in the country. (http://ow.ly/4KSGX) Sokoto people have suffered for too long. This is your time to redeem your pledge, Mr President. The clock is ticking!!! 21. The date was March 12th 2011 and you were in Ogun State, my home state. Remember, the day you rode to Abeokuta through rail? Yes, that was the day you promised an improved power supply before the end of the year through the Integrated Power Project (IPP) initiative. You also pledged to build more refineries, encourage downstream activities, resuscitate rail transportation and create jobs. In case you have forgotten, that was the day that Gbenga Daniel your South West campaign coordinator was booed by the Ogun people (http://ow.ly/4KSHM). 22. On March 14th, your campaign trained moved to Kebbi where you promised to establish a federal university next year (2012). You also promised to create jobs through science and technology, tackle environmental challenges and boost health care delivery. (http://ow.ly/4KSIX) 23. Katsina, was your port of call on March 15 where you promised to enhance the living standard of Nigerians through implementation of people-oriented programmes that would provide citizens the necessary opportunities to realize their potentials. In my opinion, this was just mere rhetoric, as you did not make any concrete promise. Or did you have the premonition, you will lose in Katsina? Seems I was right. 24. In Kano, you pledged to resuscitate the nation’s power sector and encourage the development of small and medium scale enterprises in the country while ensuring justice, equity and fair play in the polity (http:// ow.ly/4KSKJ). Mr. President, space will not allow me to list the deluge of promises in Lagos, Osun, Borno, Cross River, Akwa Ibom, Enugu, Imo, Taraba, Jigawa, Edo, Bayelsa and Zamfara states, and Abuja (http://ow.ly/4KSLf). If you can accomplish all your promises in the next four years, then you will go down memory lane as the best President ever. Thanks to Yahoo, Gmail and Facebook (and now Twitter and Google Plus), we can all save this message in our Inbox/Wall/Timelines for the next four years and check out how much you achieve on your promises. Your fellow Nigerian, http://saharareporters.com/2013/05/27/fact-checking-gej-his-electoral-promises |
