mcobex: None of the 3 were delayed. If CIC ask you to go for medical then you have 99.99% of getting approved. Have you been asked to go for medical? and how long has your app been with CIC? Paper route: Applied Jun 12; Medical mail 2 Aug; medicals 6 Aug; medical passed updated 11 Aug; application 10wks old; resumption date 4 Sept. |

jnyuwa02: A significant number of applicants last fall did make resumption because CIC was slow in processing their applications. They were later rejected and where approved, where asked to provide new admission letter for the winter or next available fall. Were the applicants delayed after they had undergone their medicals or they had never undergone any medicals? |
Travel › Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 14 by uyplus(m): 6:38pm On Aug 20, 2018 |
Senatorkolade: They will request for the updated offer letter. If you defer your entry to winter, they will issue the visa to you but not in a hurry. Maybe around October This isn't an answer to the question I raised! I asked about incidences where CIC defaulted by having an application stay above the average processing time, thereby causing an applicant to miss his/her resumption time. I never asked about admission deferrals! |

@Frankrobbn, mcobex, jnuywa
I'm curious to know if there has ever been an incidence where an applicant misses his/her resumption because CIC exceeded the visa processing time and issued the TRV much after resumption time because @ this current pace from the VO's, a lot of June applicants may miss their resumption date for the fall academic session. There's less than 2weeks left yet some applications are counting out ten weeks as against the standard nine weeks for June applicants. |

Ratawu: Nobody knows it all here. We are just here to share notes and ideas to help ourselves. WHAT WOULD I GAIN FROM GIVING WRONG INFORMATION? I contributed to the question based on my personal experience at the VFS and that was my teacher. Truly, I completed IMM5707 from home and when it reached my turn to submit around 5pm since 07:45am, the VFS guy told me it was the wrong form and I had to spend another money to come the next day and filled the IMM 5645 with additional N3000 at their business centre. And when we argue it here, the concesus way forward was that because of the inconsistency of the VFS guy, people should go with the two forms and give them the one they want in which o totally concurred with. THEN WHY LAMBASTING ME AS IF I WAS YOUR KID. Don't behave as if you know it all and we need to respect each other. Thank you Airline liason officer submitted his application via the same paper route he lambasted. His application was obviously denied and he probably thought that the Nairobi VO's are spirits! You work with the deputy high commissioner for High comission of Canada, Lagos, Nigeria but VFS taught you how to properly fill out forms? Smh! |

Ratawu: U MAY KNOW ME AS TIME GOES. You are saying nonsense and the moderator of this thread should block you from dishing out wrong information! How and why will VFS drop an applicant's documents via paper route when the bag that is issued with your documents is sealed and handed to the applicant to submit at a different section of the VFS office? If VFS takes out people's documents, they will have been sued long before now! VFS is simply an outsourcing firm that handles visa application submissions, and transmits those documents to the Embassy! I have gone through the paper route twice and not a single document was dropped! Who are you that we need to know on this thread? Are you a Visa officer? Even your application can be rejected! Who even told you that the VO's at Nairobi are Indian-Canadians? Do you know any of them? Have you met any one of them? For your information I also follow an Indian thread like this and they equally have countless stories of rejections too! There are better informed folks on this thread like frankrobbn, jnywua, mcobex etc, and when either of these folks make mistakes in the information that they pass, they admit it! Don't come here to misguide people by sharing "hear say", information! |

Frankrobbn1: I want to believe you misinterpreted this. Those some said sending an email to CIC when an applicant application is within the processing times is not advisable. If an application has exceeded the normal processing times, an applicant is certainly free to send countless mails to CIC. Frank, please are we supposed to scan and send the emedical form to CIC upon completion of the medical exams or will the hospital rather inform them? |

Lagos2canna: The paper work they do plays an important role in the final decision. What paperwork? Say what you know man! VFS does no paperwork for applicants. Frankrobbn1: Ratawu,
I'll have to disagree with you on this. What have you to say to applicants whose applications have gone past the 9 weeks processing times? That, their applications are starting all over again?. I am sorry to say but sometimes your proclamations here are invalid. I remembered how you once said that paper route application documents are being scanned to the processing office by the VFS workers, thereby leaving some vital documents behind, which you said attributed to the fast refusal on paper route. Advising folks here that Online route is the best route to suit. I further requested to know how you came up with this ideology of yours, you kept mute. I can also remember some time ago, when you announced that the updated IMM5707E family form which excludes adding details of applicant siblings was fake and not the actual form to use for paper route applicants. After series of debate here, you laterly find out that it was an acceptable form to use from IRCC.
Please let's be very sure of what we are dishing out here. We should have in mind that this is a public forum and many depend on informations gotten here. Spot on! People should stop saying what they aren't sure about! I read that paper route jargons, how VFS scans documents and leaves alot behind and I just shook my head in disbelief! And yes, that moniker still went onto reiterate that false claim in other threads even after it was debunked as false and misleading! |

mcobex: Yes I am sure as that's what CIC says, it's either uofront(doing it before submission) or the applicant waits for CIC's instruction to go for it. Some people might be lucky to send it after submission (without medical request from CIC) but that doesn't make it right bro. The vo in charge might not be that lenient Lucky? Leniency? For such a highly delicate process as immigration? Please say what you know! I have read many posts where people send their medical results via email post visa application submission and their status got updated! I have even read posts where people still submitted supporting documents via email to visa offices and it was acknowledged! There is no absolute to this application thing. For instance, many June applicants here haven't gotten any update yet from CIC, which almost 9weeks for the early June applicants, whereas some others have already received refusal mails! That doesn't guarantee that all those who haven't received a refusal within the 3 to 4weeks period will be successful in their application! Even the supposed gurus can put in a visa application and still get rejected even after dotting all I's and crossing all T's.. There is no absolute! I personally know a Pharmacist who got admitted to UBC in his same course path, Pharmacy, submitted mother's SOA with over 100m in it, no SOP and he still got rejected whereas some folks on this thread submitted applications without SOP's and got approved! |
