On my ds160 I filled my Aunt is my sponsor, additional shes based in the USA. Will this cause any problems for me? Are there people whose visa has been approved in the past with their sponsor residing in USA?

I would have filled my mother, but her bank statement is not up to my deficit, but can I still present it that way during interview?

Yes i did, their have been series of mails coming to me within last week and yesterday on my sponsors names and currency

however i have gotten in order schools, interview booked but cost wise WIU is better, so would like to have options as well

I am an applicant just like you. my sponsor is my brother our surname different.

You can write any of them depends on what your school wants, however it is usually waived for English speaking countries like Nigeria

That date is dangerous considering eid el fitri celebration, i schedule mine on 14th and tried to cancel and get another date but was not possible after cancellation i could not use my mrv receipt any longer, system said invalid, only for me to log on to my page later in the evening to see rescheduled back to may 14th.

yes you can start filling your DS 160 form if you already have your I20 . Many dates were out yesterday for Abuja but nothing concrete yet for Lagos.

it is possible, I have the same case, you only need to convince VO at the point of interview of your relationship.

If you are awarded the assistantship position, The school will send a revised i-20 docs that will reflect the award of graduate assistantship position or whatever is awarded to you. If they don't do that, then you have to send an email requesting it for your own good.

In my case I have to book with Troy, bcoz their 1:20 came faster, also considering available date, tuition fee also was a factor compared to my SOA.

I may change institution if I still desire after securing my visa by his grace.

Fill another ds 160 form choosing the right location and update the new ds number on cgifederal appointment page. Reprint your new appointment confirmation sh6the new ds 160 number.

Make sure you do all this at least 4days to your appointment date.

to your first question you can, after paying your MRV fee you can book appointment even without paying sevis fee but make sure you pay your sevis fee 3 days prior to your visa interview

for your second question you can only apply for F1 student visa with just only one school, so I am sure if you already booked a date with Troy, you wouldn't be able to edit it again except you buy another MRV fee. so it better you check which would be best for you.

Please expert in the house help me with the following question.

1.Can I book a date for interview before paying for my SEVIS fee, I don't have the money for the fee now until April.

2. Can I apply for visa with school A, and later Edit the school to B, before the interview.

The reason Is that I av gotten my form1-20 from Troy, CSU,Findlay but just got admission with Buffalo today and it might take time before they issue me form 1-20.and it is the school I want to go.

I need to apply to get dates, with what I at hand.

Please I need answer to question 1 &2.

Yes, it is safe for now - they accept it. If you still want it sent via shipping, that's still okay. Some schools will give you the option of having it via email or having it via shipping. Though, some schools will ask that you pay the shipping fee if you want it via that way.

If they can send it via email, use the SEVIS num on it and book a date while you wait for the shipped one(if that's what you want).

Is it safe if my Form 1-20 is sent electronically i mean email. i got admission since january but i have not gotten my Form 1-20 from any of them.

one of the school promised to send via email for over a week, yet i have not heard from them either. I have written to them they keep apologising.

Hope it wont be an issue if it is sent via email.
