When I wanted to book my flight to elpa so may ending, Qatar airline was 800k plus so I booked Lagos to dallas at 540k and then told my sister in us to book dallas to elpaso return ticket at 370 dollars. With this arrangement I was able to save abt 200k

How long after childbirth did you travel with your babies cos i noticed you shifted your travel date forward.

i left USA at exactly 4 weeks after delivery. I asked their peadiatrician and he said minimum of 2 weeks for local flight and 4 weeks for international flights

Gist on the rest of my twin missionary journey, I was very lucky to get a woman at the airport to add one of my twins to her ticket and she helped me to carry them althru the journey. I called Qatar airways to change my ticket fro 4thsept to 25th aug in us but they said it will cost me 310 dollars, my hubby went to their office in Lagos and changed it with less than 50k. Thanks to all who helped with answers in the time of need especially babatwi and others, hats off to nairaland. Feel free to ask any questions esp those using elpaso

Some people yes intown suit, extended stay and the rest but I used woodspring suit at joe battle. 10 minutes drive to my doctors office and 2 minutes walk to the peadiatric office

. No,I did planned c section at exactly 37 weeks and they were both fine. We were discharged on the second day after c s. My advice is to work with ur doc, whatever he says blc u don't want them to be send to NICU

Hello gurus in the house, pls concerning visa on arrival should I attach my own itinary or baby's own blc as it is I have attached one of my twin to my ticket and the second twin I have to look for someone at the airport on departure day to attach him. Question now is how do I go about his own visa on arrival. Pls am begging it's kind of urgent as I have few days left to depart

the VO must have thought the cost of a return ticket is way lower than you getting a one-way seat for one of the babies...he should have just mentioned he was going on vacation...abeg sometimes lieing is the best thing...and again he does nothave ties to naija anymore...wife and pikin dey yankeee...wetin come remain for here? my 2kobo

i have two kids at home with my husband not us citizens I think they were enough ties for them to grant him visa

Thanks babatwi, pls am in a fix right now and don't know what to do. Dh was suppose to come over to pick us but he went for his interview yesterday and was denied. Below is the transcript.
Dh- good morning
Vo- where are u heading
Dh- dallas in Texas
Vo- what for?
Dh- my wife just put to bed twins and she needs my assistance so am going to support her and to help bring back my children as she can't travel alone with one infant.
Vo- have u travelled bl4?
Dh- yes but within Africa ( mention the 4 African countries he has been to)
Vo- where do u work?
Dh- told him and explain what the country does and his role as the chief financial officer.
Vo- how long have u worked with them
Dh- a little below 2 years
Vo- how much is ur salary?
Dh- told him( a little below 1m)
He started typing for sometime after which he gave the blue paper, my husband told him that his wife needs him in order to help bring back the kids and showed him the copies of their passport but after looking at them he gave them back and said that the blue paper will explain why.
I don't know what to do to travel with my twin alone and I don't know anyone traveling with Qatar to Nig on the same day to attach one of my kids.
Good people of God pls any idea on what to do, am beginning to develope hbp.

In the spirit of giving back, I already posted my Poe expirience. I successfully had my twin via c section under doctor novoa in elpaso. Both of them were very ok so no issue and no nicu. Cs was done on Friday night and we were discharged on Sunday morning, thanks be to almighty God. I've gotten all their documents . Was waiting for my husband to go for his interview so we can add 1 baby to his ticket and 1 to mine.

my sister stays in Minnesota but am in El Paso blc cost of birth in Minnesota is quite expensive, u can't get less than 18. U have to look for somewhere else

Good morning good people of nairaland, I want to sincerely appreciate everyone's effort and contribution in this forum, may God bless u all. So in the spirit of giving back I flew qatar airways to USA on wed 22nd June at 32 weeks twin gestation. 10hrs to Doha, 4 hour layover then 16 hrs to us, no be small pipkin matter. I requested for wheelchair blc my tommy is really big and heavy, walking is becoming difficult but I never used it until I got to us. At Doha bl4 boarding they told me to wait that and officer will have to see me, after like 10 mins one of those escorts came and carried my hand luggage ant took me to the plane straight away no interview no document check. We arrived dallas at 4pm and I entered my wheelchair straight to baggage claim after picking my bags we went straight to the cpb, we jumped line and went straight to priority line and I was the second person. Cpb: saw my big tommy and shouts how are u mam. Me: am fine thank you.
Cpb: what are u her for
Me: to have my baby
Cpb: how much do u have on you
Me: 8k 100d
Cpb: are you sure that's Gina be enough?
Me: yes I ready made some deposits to the hospital
Cpb: smiling and already stamping my passport and asked how old is my pregnancy
Me: 32 weeks
Cpb: was like are u sure blc u look like u gonna drop any minute from now
Me: yes, an expecting twin.
He gave me my passport as he was shouting wow congratulations pls do take Kia of ur and have a nice day. I thanked him and off I went to connect to elpaso. I declared food but he didn't even mention it, no document check and no sec inspection and everything lasted for less than 2 mins. Currently resting in El Paso and waiting for my first appointment.

thanks dear, I think elpaso is more straight forward with their bill, they sent me their twin package cs which is about $8600k all inclusive. I will use them.

My experience at the POE was epic!
I got my B1B2 January with my husband for the purpose of our wedding anniversary. However we later decided to use the visa for birthing. I went through the thread and realized it's possible, even without first using for the main purpose of visit.
I quickly drafted the change of intent letter to the embassy and got a correspondent.
Then I made contact with Oakbend hospital in Houston.
I flew with my DH and we used Turkish airline. I was 34weeks 6days. Got the fit to fly from the airport.
Turkish airline has really upgraded as free WIFI was available in the flight from Turkey to Houston (13hrs)
At the POE 1st ( CBP) (He was looking unhappy already) what is your purpose of visit ?
ME: childbirth and vacation
CBP: How much do you have on you?
ME : 9k$
CBP (mean face) : How long are you staying for?
Me: 7weeks but my husband would leave after 5weeks.
CBP: Did you inform the embassy at the time of your interview
Me: No, cos at that time we hv not decided to birth in d US
CBP: He was like, he started raising his voice and said we should give him a straight forward answer.
DH: No, but we sent a change of intent letter and got a reply.
CBP: Can I have the letter and correspondence?
DH : we started looking for the letter o, I was already sweating, alas! He found it, d CBP was so mean, told us to move away from him that we are not ready. We apologized, but he didn't accept. So we chilled till he was done with everyone on the line
CBP: can I hv d letter
Me: we gave him, and he went through it, then collected the reply from the embassy and did same
CBP: where would you be staying?
Me: my friends place, her name is .......
CBP : how long hv you known her
Me: 1 year now.
CBP: Have you met her b4?
Me: I said no, it was my brother that linked me up with her.
CBP: why are you lying? You called someone you have never met your friend? You are a liar
Me: I was trying to explain... Then he shut me up, my husband too wanted to explain he just shunned us and told us to get out and not argue with him. He called d police standing behind him gave our passports to him and told us to follow him after capturing and bio metrics. I was already scared and I started praying , reading psalms and pleading for Gods mercy in my mind.
We got to the secondary inspection and asked to sit down.
There we saw other people sitting, after a while we were offered something to eat, I didn't hv appetite,though I was hungry.
CBP2 summoned just me after about 1 hour. He looked more friendly and cultured.
CBP: what is your purpose in d US
ME : vacation and childbirth
CBP : Do you have a doctor you are communicating with already?
Me : yes
CBP2: Can I d have evidence?
Me : gave him my doctors correspondence, estimated cost of delivery letter, ...
CBP: who "d be paying?
Me : myself.
CBP: Are you going to be having CS or VG birth?
Me : VG birth by God's grace
CBP 2 : How much do you have on you
Me : 9k$ plus my ATM cards
CBP: How much is the estimated cost of delivery
Me : 5k3$
CBP: who "d you be staying with?
Me: A friend my brother linked me up with
CBP: smiled and said she's not your friend but your brother friend. I said ok
CBP: Do you know what the problem is with the first CBP?
Me: No
CBP: A person you have not met is not your friend. The lady is your brothers friend.
How come the hospital is not providing an accommodation?
Me: I don't know if they do, because I never asked.
CBP: Make sure you don't accept to use any insurance cos it may cause your visa to be revoked . And collect all your receipts for subsequent visas. He asked if I wanted to make any enquiries. There was none. So, he stamped my passport and DH passport with 6months B2 Entry stamp.
I have gone for my first doctors appointment today and it was awesome. Thanks to the people on this thread, got to know about the change of intent and other information from this forum.

phew that was close but thank God who will never allow our efforts to be in vain

I dont think that there is any cause for alarm, since you will be in Dallas early, just go and negotiate, U can also get other hospitals with better offer. I will be coming in mid - end of Aug. Like Qatar dont fly from Abuja. I reside in Abuja, checked no flight from Abj - Dallas.

Babes this bill high and not clear. If you intend renting an apartment, I think Houston will be cheaper for you as adviced below. I used Medical Centre of Plano in 2015 but I dont think that their bill will be this high for multiple.

I also strongly believe that u can get a better deal if you go there urself and pay upfront. meanwhile how much is qatat airline and is their POE in Dallas DFW?

I also don't understand it myself but that was what they sent to me via email, about the qater yes Poe is dallas and I paid like 558k for flexible ticket

I had to settle for qater airline. I try to get a quote from Baylor Carrollton it was difficult as they told me they don't have a package for cs twin but later she said the estimates are 15 to 30k for me then 5 to 10k for each of my babies. I really don't know what to do now, am scheduled to travel 3 Ed week of June. Pls house any i deal of another hospital in Dallas for twin birth that will not cut my neck

Good afternoon house, pls I want to use Baylor Scott Carrollton I contacted the doctor and now the hospital has refused to tell me their hospital bill blc it's twin, the lady said its all depends on the outcome of the cs as they don't have any self pay package for twin delivery. Pls any suggestion on how to go about this issue blc I need to have a figure in mind I don't want anyone to hammer me with a bill way above my planned estimate.
