EducationRe: The Fallen Standard Of Education In Nigeria by valdprof: 5:18pm On Nov 24, 2013
Yomieluv: The education level is a deplorable situation now. It has turned to if you can't beat them, you join them. Imagine a parent walking up to you to assist their ward for examination, and if you didn't cooperate, there are thousands that would do it willingly.

What do we have now, half baked graduates, not even helped by so daft lecturers who specializes in textbook reading, with little or no effort to explain.

At the secondary level, its either you assist your students,or you will see your student dumping your school,to where miracles are happening. Most school aren't after teaching per say,but the money they get through giving assistance to students during exams.
Imagine a secondary school, employing an SSCE holder to teach student in SS class, what knowledge can he impact,if not for garbage..

I believe the major cause is unemployment, where people do thing to survive, and later turn it as a form of lucrative job.
per se , not per say. 9ice write up though

PoliticsRe: SSS Parades Boko-Haram Suspects Including A University Lecturer by valdprof: 9:14pm On Nov 20, 2013
[quote author=yunglykmine]The State Security Service (SSS) today in Abuja paraded five suspected Boko Haram members alleged to have planned deadly attacks on Igala, Kogi State.

Among the suspects were Dr. Mohammad Nazeef Yunus, an Assistant Lecturer in Arabic and Islamic Studies at Kogi State University.  He was said to be the Spiritual Leader and Coordinator for Boko Haram in the State, and the leader of the gang.

Nazeef, who was born in Idah, Kogi State, attended the Arabic Central Primary School in that town, and El-Kanemi College, Maiduguri.  He also studied at the Islamic School, University of Medina, in Saudi Arabia and served in the National Youth Service Corp in 1995 at Al-Iman Secondary School, Dogon Dutse, in Jos.

Nazeef earned a Masters Degree in Arabic from the University of Jos.  Just last year, he earned a Ph.D in Islamic Studies from Kogi State University.

Ngokafor: ...this thread has been really hilarious i tell you...imagine all the hues and cries over 5k...lol!..like my fiance would say 'poverty na bastard'...the op is even doubly silly to open a thread whining about 5k,forgeting how she stood by him when he was a corp member.I can bet u his babe dumped him for some other reasons and he comes twisting the whole story on nairaland, just to belong to the Association of Nairaland Whinners(ANW)..

..@all, as long as you are working, you must spend on your girlfriends whether you like it or not!! or else remain unattached!,you have a choice!!..failure to do that and the op's story will be your portion.

....dating is for big boys who understands the rules of the game and not for little kids.Women the world over LOVES a caring and sharing man you can take that to the bank!.The good ones (like moi hehe)will understand if their man falls on hard times and would even help him stand on his feet financially, but a stingy koko is a big no!...and you wonder why SA women fall over themselves to date or marry Naija guys?..go figure!

The truth is OP has been selfish and stingy with his ex.

She probably asked him just to confirm.

RomanceRe: My Girl Friend Of 3yrs Left Me Because Of #30000 by valdprof: 1:12pm On Nov 04, 2013
Magic Bishop: Hollywood has brainwashed you with all their sappy romance stories.

For your info the most materialistic women on the planet are French followed by Lebanese after that it is white American women.

A good example is Kim Kardashian. You think if Kanye had not got his game up she will be with him?
Do you know that in America, most black american men when they hit it big will then opt for a white girl.
Keep watching nollywood flicks which were written by poor hungry students hoping to bang a rich girl for free.

If you are not ready to marry and take responsibility for a woman then don't date at all.

Afteral you will want us to believe it was only your father that banged your mother so leave all those girls if you are not ready to take care of them.

And lastly, you are the odenni rauf himself to think a woman will be with you because of your looks.
paying a girl out of ur meagre salary is extreme and ASUUistic

mintyx: The Senate of the Enugu State University of
Science and Technology, ESUT, has announced
the withdrawal of the Bachelor Degrees
Certificates of her three graduates.
DailyPost recalls that the three graduates were
earlier mobilized for National Youths Service.
Corps, NYSC, 2012 Batch B, but lacked

expected of a genuine Nigeria graduate.
The university disclosed this in a public notice

Meteorology with call-up No. NYSC/
ESUT/2012/148292, matric No.
ESUT/2006/10400″.
The notice added that the “general public is
hereby informed that following the reports of
the investigation panels set up by the National
Universities Commission, NUC, and the
university on the matter, the ESUT Senate at its
239th regular meeting held on Wednesday
June 5, 2013, received and considered the
reports of the investigation panels and
upheld that the certificates issued to the
above named persons be withdrawn and have
therefore been withdrawn”.
The ESUT further warned that anybody or
institution dealing with them on degree
certificates purported to have been issued by
ESUT does so at his or her own risk.
It could be re-called that the three graduates,
when put to test, could not write common sentences.

sweetestguy: We always complain of how greedy naija babes are, and how they love money a lot,but come to think of it, you meet a girl who obviously doesn't even like u,not to think of love,u now use money to impress her. Why won't she play along to dry ur pocket, she's just a smart girl, and there is nothing wrong in being smart.

The signs will be very clear that she doesn't care about you, yet you won't mind spending dough to win her and after you come here to post on how naija babe are bad.

Have you ever noticed that some girls that drains the guys pocket have another guy they don't even ask for anything?

guys grow up, we still have plenty of girls who truly love, just find the one that that suits you.

LiteratureRe: with this essay, shud I expect A in my last exam by valdprof(op): 6:49pm On Oct 06, 2013
valdprof: I attended Bigano high school, a school located thirty miles , south of Onitsha metropolis ,and throughout my days in bigano , I nursed the ambition of studying marketing in the university .So when I left bigano 2OO7 ,the only thing on my mind was to enter a university as soon as possible to pave the way for my dream in embryo . ............................................................ Barely a year after I left Bigano , I sat for an entrance examination in a university situated in the northern part of the country and though I passed , my name was nowhere to be found when the admission list was released .Being a starry eyed jambite ,I was so crestfallen that at time ,when no one is around , I would lock myself up in my room and bemoan my fate in hush tones . Then came the second year, then the third and yet nothing happened. But by then I had learnt to take solace in my father's favourite pithy , ''where there's a will , there's a way.'' So I gave a fresh heart to to the pursuit ; I kept the spirit alive ............................................................. On that fateful day , it was a cold , breezy morning in the thick of harmattan . I had scarcely woken up when my friend , Okoloma rang me up and said that UNN had just released their admission list . Albeit I lost my somnolence immediately, I did not believe him for two reason : First he is a prankster , and secondly it had not occured to me that UNN could release their admission list barely two weeks after the release of their screening results ..............................................Halfheartedly, I picked up my phone and entered UNN website. My heart missed a beat when I saw the inscription , '' UNN ADMISSION RELEASED .'' So I started scrolling down the webpage as fast as my fingers could permit and at the same time , I wished the names would linger awhile. On seeing the names of those admitted in my would be department , one could have heard the sound of my heartbeat from just a modest distance .On the spur of the moment , I saw my phone fall to the floor , '' what did I just see? Was that Val Obi ?'' I queried rhetorically. Propelled by a strange force , I leapt forward and picked up the phone as though it was an explosive device about to detonate . Tears of joy rained down my cheeks when I saw '' Val Obi timitola '' bodly written on the webpage .So I knelt in supplication to almighty God and exalted his name for granting my desires ......................................................... A month afterwards, I left home for UNN to begin the long awaited marathon with my compeers
