andyanders: It's not a typical Nigerian man. She is ONLY RIGHT when she inform him first before taking the money.
You cannot just bang into your husband's pocket and take money from it. What if the money was given to him by someone? Always try to be prudent with what you do in your marriage. Let it be man/woman, you must be open to issues. If it was something the OP and her husband have an understanding, she will not come out here to say that her husband does not appreciate her doing so. Stealing is stealing no matter how little it is. Do not say it's a husband thing. If you both keep money together and have an understanding that you can take money from there when you need to do something, there wouldn't be an issue like this we are discussing.
Remember, even a white lady cannot just go to her husband's pocket and just pick money and make use of it without informing her husband. Even her salary, she cannot just spend her salary without the consent of her husband. They must have spelt out how their salaries will be spent. Either the man takes care of the rent and the wife takes care of groceries. She cannot just see money and start spending. Do not come here to say is a Nigerian man's attitude. A thief is a thief. So you are saying your children can too go searching and collecting money from you/husband's pockets? They will end up stealing other peoples money when they cannot have access to their parent's money.
Do not encourage the OP here because it is a bad attitude. I know you do it and as such can even steal other Friend's money if they left their bags with you. u dont know me, yet are here spewing rubbish! and u fail to understand what the OP wrote. we are not talking about large sums here, so forget about spending salaries or money kept for someone...all she said is that she sometimes collect little amount of money from her hubby's pocket which she normally notify him and she never collects more that 1k. |

nagoma: Your husband has married a thief. You will graduate to stealing hundreds of thousands. You cannot be recommended for certain jobs. If you find yourself as a bank cashier you will end up in prison. If I was your husband I would hand you over to the police and get a well bred wife who knows the definition of stealing and abhors it. ^^^typical nigerian man!! marriage is a union. she is free to take as long she notifies him. |

afrobaby: Wetin perso no go hear from nairaland so taking money from my hubby's pocket na stealig, haba, which kain love una dey practise so,
I take money from my hubby's wallet as I deem fit(u hardly see money in his pocket, if u like, wash 20 of his trousers in a day, u no go find kobo),even withdraw using his ATM as I like, why? cos he knows I dont spend lavishly, if for any reason I take his money, then it is a good reason, that is what I term trust in marriage, even when he receives alert from any of his banks for an atm withdrawal, he just calls me to confirm if I was the one that performs that transaction, and if I take money from his wallet, I tell him after, mostly not before, at times we even joke about it like wifey: if anyone is looking for money, let him not curse o, na him love take am o hubby: if anyone is looking for chicken/meat/fish, let her not be annoyed o, na her love eat am.
It is part of fun and love, this is nice. i pray my future union be filled with understanding and trust like this! marriage is a union. |

Christianity Etc › Re: Is Pastor W.F Kumuyi The Only Honest Pastor/Overseer In Nigeria? by Valto(m): 2:35pm On Apr 09, 2013 |
Pastor Kun: Tithing the way it is preached today is derived from deliberately twisting scriptures to suit the agenda of tithe preachers which is to raise money on a consistent basis. You would never find monetary tithing from income in the bible neither is there anywhere in scriptures christians are asked to tithe. Christians are not under the law that requires tithes rather we are under grace. The fact that scriptures had to be twisted to arrive at our modern day version of tithing makes it a fraudulent teaching. You may also wish to read deut 14:22-29 to see how biblical tithe is defined and compare it with the false version preached in churches today. Also bear in mind that it is a sin to remove from or add to God's word. GBAM!!!... one million likes!! |

SailorXY: Its ok if you tear out the page of the scriptures I just quoted in ur own bible, it changes nothing. In Jesus' time, when it was noted that Judas was in charge of the purse, do you think money entered the purse because Jesus and his disciples were oil company workers? Or may be involved in armed robbery? How did the gospel spread from nation to nation? Did u not read that "money answereth all things"? How is the missionary work supposed to continue {if ur church engages in such}? Or your full-time pastor conjure money from the skies? If these teachings were abolished, why is it in the new testament? Do you some part of the bible should be thrown away? ur church offerings and free will donations is more than enough |
