lolz, u want to draw power from your battery, to charge the same battery it doesn't work that way bro, unless u have nepa or gen light

I use UPS blugate bg653 elite pro. I dont know if it's pure sine wave sir.

bluegate is modified sine wave, and its not good enough for your electronics in the long run. buy original CTORCH or AKT bulb first.

depending on your load and batteries, but 1500w of panels is too small for a 48V setup assuming u have 4pcs 200ah batteries

Please I have a 45W laptop that lasts for about 7hours, charges full in <3hrs.

Power supply here is erratic and I don't want to spend money always on fueling my generator it's big and I turn it on several times daily just for charging my laptop, please are there any budget friendly set ups I can invest in? Ideally 50k - 100k. Would love to be able to charge my laptop (and phone too) for at most 8hours a day.

what u need..
100ah battery is about 50k(there is a guy offering few months used mercury 100ah battery for 25k on the forum)
30ah PWM CC for 8 or 9k
1000w or 600w pure sine wave inverter from Aliexpress or jumia around 25k
2pcs 150w panel is around 20k each
.. then u are good to go.

Will surely need two fans but will have to get fans that are low in Watts.

run away from luminous batteries. their inverter tend to have low charging amps. get original Fullriver 200ah and have a rest of mind and as testified on this thread, get an smr power 12v pure sine wave inverter/charger and enjoy. if your questions plenty.. contact me on WhatsApp.

i believe the inverter comes with thick cables for installation.
the SMR 1.5KVA pure sine wave inverter comes with inbuilt charger
if u have more funds u can get 2pcs of 12v original Fullriver 200ah batteries or u upgrade to 24V inverter system with 2 batteries connected in series.

back up time is dependent on load, but 140w on 2pcs fully charged 200ah batteries should run atleast 12hrs or more

thats will be hard, but it is workable. buy original Fullriver 200ah battery @135k, then a very good pure sine wave inverter/charger 12V like SMR 1.5kva Pure Sine Wave Inverter. then u are good to go. price is around 60k

Will you be Top balancing the cells in parallel before you assemble them? I would advise you do so.
Just finished a similar build with EVE cells 24v 280AH and overkill BMS
It was an experimental build/ DYI hands on for a quick replacement of dead lead acid batteries.
Was almost going for the Felicity lithium that has been heavily advertised here but thought otherwise as the reviews was not so favorable.
In hindsight, the 24v 280AH build cost about 620k
(could have been far less if I had opted for the 3 months sea shipment as against 3 weeks air freight and also choice of BMS) as against 450k for the 24v 200AH( ) Felicity lithium battery

nice cells, the same with mine, but coupled with DALY BMS 150A with Bluetooth. spent about 400k inclusive the DALY BMS (almost 5months sea shipping though ) but that promised 3months shipping is now 6 to 7months in reality.

So I had my 8s1p array changed to 4s2p and acquired a 24V 3KVA Growatt hybrid inverter through @Olopan of Rendezvous Solar, to replace my SMKSOLAR.

Growatt is notably faster in charging (maybe because it doesn't require minimum input voltage of 120v from pv).


I'm curious, is Growatt Axpert variant? I think if it is, it's arguably better than the other variants.

i just rechecked and the Samsung i suggested earlier is not even meant for African/Nigerian market, so just buy the latest LG gencool, it is also very energy ⚡ efficient. cheers.

good batteries ranges from 135k to 150k.(full river and amaron quanta) as for panels, u can get original YINGLI 400w mono for less than 60k


since AC is your main concern, u might consider getting the latest Samsung 1HP inverter AC that consume Maximum of 500w, instead of your current one that consume 940W. there by bringing down your solar requirement cost.

The naija ones consume alot on their own going by people's reviews/experiences. The waiting time won't be up to 2 months from my recent shopping experience.

someone posted this on a thread and insist it consumes about 7w idle current. u may want to try it out. its readily available in Nigeria.

What do you think about these pure sine wave inverters sold on AliExpress? I am thinking of getting one rated 2000w (4000w peak) solely for this purpose. I have a 600w PSW inverter from Ali but never used it for inductive loads.

The reason I want to get from AliExpress is because of the low idle/running consumption of those inverters compared to the ones we find around locally since the battery capacity is going to be just 100ah. I want to avoid energy wastage even though there will be solar panels

beware! most them are modified sine wave. considering the 2-3months wait, why not purchase in naija.
