That 5k would have gone a long way to get many boxers and singlet.. Hanty, this watch is not 5k. This na wetin all those aboki dey sell #500-#800. I would say the guy should collect it and not use it, that's better than outright refusal to collect. |

magicminister: He has a point but his manner of delivery would make anyone feel attacked.
He could have said something like:
“It was an honor to share the stage with all the gospel singers that graced the occasion. Personally, I feel as an industry, we can do a better job to promote creativity and originality. While we are all there to praise the lord, we are also there to showcase our talents to the people of God. We cannot fully blossom if we rob others of their Glory or consistently fail to showcase our incredible creativity.”
Shiiiit like that you know. I have lived long enough to know that the message is just as important as the delivery. If your delivery is respectful, kind and uplifting, most people will not take it as an affront. Well said. |

Le124: They can never complain because he has never won any controversial world footballer of the year, unlike Messi that this will be the 3rd controversial award is collecting when he did not deserve it May I remind you of 2014 when the award should have gone to a German world cup winner (going by the Messi didn't deserve it in 2010) or 2013 when Ribery won more trophies (going by the Sneidjer was robbed logic). |

(Aside)
I am a Titan and love Tacha and she appreciates her Titans and I choose to support and defend Tacha not because I want anything but it came genuinely but if she appreciates no problem.
Tacha even appreciated herself so what is she saying? She even thanked Angela Okorie twice . |

Do I qualify? It will be great to have you around sir. Kindly pm me your WhatsApp number or send a message to the number I posted up there. |

Literature › Re: Some Problems I Noticed That I Have With My Writings On Nairaland. by VanTee20(m): 8:19am On Nov 29, 2019 |
purples25: I'm here for some opinions and correction/criticism. So, im used to reading novels. I loved writing since childhood. I excelled at English language and Literature all through my earlier years. Everywhere i went to, people understood, marvelled at and enjoyed reading what i wrote even as a child. This explanation is here so you can understand what is confusing me on nl.
Some readers here claim they dont understand the stories. I have read stuff by Chimamanda, Helon Habila and co. and they do not always explain everything they write. The meaning does not have to be explained but as it stands here i have to write with no ambiguity in my work. Could it be the way i write?
Also, i write collections of short stories and people cannot understand that a collection of short stories is a combination of totally different stories on their own. Once a guy said the stories are too different and abrupt. How?
Lastly,is my writing not suited to African taste? I noticed people like romance and my focus isn't always there . Your writings are nice, I remember reading one of your short stories and going wow. I think it was that one that had to do with an incident in a hostel dormitory. I can't recall the details because it's been years. Do not water down your stories to satisfy some readers. If you like what you write, then there will surely be some people who will like it as well. I can say from my experience here that litlanders prefer long stories, divided into episodes or chapters. Short stories are almost always ignored, unless you are Senbonzakura Kageyoshi or your story somehow finds its way to the frontpage. Even at that, the separate threads are usually created for each short story, so threads like A Kaleidoscope of Short Stories are not what they are used to. However some people like them and that is why you should keep at it. Romance always gets more fans. People are ready to ignore bad spellings, poor grammar and all of that just to read romance. If you happen to write it well, then you will have readers on your neck, wanting more and more. However, we can't all write romance. Just write what you like, write it well and write it consistently, then you will have more readers on your threads than you can imagine. Have a nice day, Purples. 1 Like |

I haven't finished reading but I'm impressed with the concept. I read the initial Perfidy. Can't wait to see how this turns out. And the map for the world building? Great . Did you use an app or website? If yes, please let me know its name.
Please I need world-building tips for this fantasy idea dancing in my head. Please kindly help a sister Hello Millieademi, I'm glad you like the story. I took quite some time to brush up some characters and scenes from the first version of Perfidy so this one is better. I couldn't find an app to draw the map I needed. I had to use pen and paper. I'll be glad to help with the few things I know. Send me a pm. 1 Like |
