The way Hazard was dribbling past Mexican players like school boys lol Who saw Loftus-Cheek disgrace Rudiger on couple of occasions? ![]() |

https://www.thesun.co.uk/wp-content/uploads/2017/11/nintchdbpict000365193353.jpg?strip=all&w=687 On the 6th of November 2017. Michael Emenalo officially resigned as the Technical Director of Chelsea FC leaving a trail of mixed feelings amongst the fans. Emenalo, the former Nigerian international who hails from Asia state joined Chelsea after being convinced by the then interim manager Avram Grant in October 2017 who he played under at Maccabi Tel Aviv in Israel. He went on to become the chief scout after his arrival from a soccer academy in the USA. Emenalo played a key role in reshaping the club, especially in scouting, recruitment, and player development at the bridge. He came into the limelight after being appointed the assistant to the former manager, Carlo Ancelloti. In 2011, he was appointed The Director of Football (DoF) to oversee the scouting Network and be the link between the manager and the board. Michael Emenalo went on to acquire some of the hottest prospects in Eden Hazard, Kevin De bruyne and Romelu Lukaku. Surprisingly in 2013, he tendered his resignation letter which Chelsea rejected after it became obvious to him that Club were bringing back the former manager, Jose Mourinho who wanted total power over the transfers made at the club. It begs the question, How fair is the criticism on him? His time at Chelsea was filled with positives and negatives. The conflict between Emenalo and Mourinho never quite rose to the level that the former envisioned. Rumour had it he was livid as to the decision to sell Kevin De bryune and Lukaku and other youngsters who he believed deserved more chance at the club. https://pbs.twimg.com/media/DN-ggMYX0AA1NKl.jpg The summer after Mourinho won his last title was a disaster as club failed to acquire some top targets including John Stones. coupled with laughable acquisition of Papy Djilobodji Michael Hector on deadline transfers. The club often came under fire for the loan policy A.k.A Loan army. Youngsters were acquired to be sent on loan only to be sold for profit later on. Emenalo was also heavily criticised after his "Palpable Discord" dig at Mourinho after the Portuguese was sacked the second time. All seemed well after Antonio Conte lifted the Premier League trophy last Year, then a strain in the relationship after Chelsea failed to bring in their top targets on time. Chelsea had bids for both Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and Ross Barkley accepted only for the prospects to reject after they couldn't talk to the manager of their places in the team. Nevertheless, the storm at Chelsea might not be truly over as there is the director, Marina Granovskaia who is one of the most powerful women in world football football, and having being a close associate to Roman Abramovich for over 20 years, she has the final say in transfers and penning down new contracts. Conte's future at Chelsea is also uncertain owing to her recent line of "Reviewing our managerial structures". And thus, only a new contract would augment Conte's stay. During Emenalo's time at Chelsea, he was a part to the success of winning the Premier League title three times, the FA Cup, the League Cup, the Europa League and the Champions League, not forgetting the massive success the youth has had with major trophies. He helped turn Chelsea from a transfer power house spender to to one finally turning in profits. At Chelsea, that stability much needed in a club was not found wanting as the interest of the club was above anything else. After he passed his UEFA coaching licence, It wouldn't be surprising to see him on a career change as potential suitors are lined up already for his services. Thank you Emenalo for everything, and all the best, Your name has been etched in the history of Chelsea and world football. cc: lalasticlala |
cstr1000:Time has shown that everyone is replaceable, of course he'll be missed. Him being a Director, he's supposed to be the backbone of the manager. He's the middle man between the manager and the board. We lost him when Chelsea decided to appoint Jose again. Since then he has as much as turned his back on the managers. The coach ought to have space to keep his mind solely on the affairs of the pitch. I'll always hold him in high regards, it's a pity we held on too long against his wish. I wish him more than well. |
cstr1000:I'm talking about the same thing here. Emenalo has a great rep in scouting out young prospects. But since Chelsea went against his decision to bring back Mourinho, he has never really been at the club. |
cstr1000:You don't need to trust managers, you can only be worried about A technical director whose heart is set somewhere else. Remember Emenalo wanted to terminate his contract when Jose returned? Chelsea were able to scout young prodigies players like De bryune, Cesar, Lukaku, Thibaut. After Mourinho returned, what top youngster have we acquired? Emenalo has been inactive with his fellow board members, he has to leave for his and Chelsea's benefit. |
CltrAltDelicious:I think this is good actually. From all indications, it's pointing to Conte being at the bridge a long time. The Summer was probably the worst I've witnessed, we weren't even able to get a first choice player. It was obvious sth was wrong when conte didn't even acknowledge his presence after the game yesterday. Marina is next ![]() First Costa, Luiz, then Emenalo. Coaches should be allowed some major decisions at least, after all they're the ones that gets the blame, not the player power brouhaha and the whole decisions shouldn't lie on the board. I'm loving Conte already |
Manchester United: Have lost more Premier League games (18) and conceded more goals (67) against Chelsea than any other side #CHEMUN Man Ure = Chelsea's biatch ![]() |

After I swore nothing will make me miss this game at the beginning of the season, emergency came up today ![]() I'll have to re-watch it on Skysports after The devil is a lie. Dayumm ![]() |
diggz:Who are the best performers so far in Cfc? |
Unlimited22:No kidding. Roma's loss didn't hurt me. I'll be livid if Man Ure as much as grab a point ![]() |
Unlimited22:He's actually right bro. Zappacosta revels in attacking, his defending is average. Between Martial/Rashford, either of them would probably own that flank if he plays. |
COMING UP ![]()
|
alexie4real:I quite agree with that but in a team full of experienced stars, it's harder. |
alexie4real:Don't blame the kid. Basically the whole Madrid players are out of form. Do you expect him to bear the weight of the team? Cut him some slack, he's good. |
Chelsea Probably did the worst transfer business this summer. Most of our signings playing like Warri Wolves players or even worse. Dayuum ![]() |
Greatihex:It was horrible to watch. I've never been a big fan of both Morata and Rudiger(I trust he'll be solid one day). Fabregas left his passing boots at home. Bakayoko I don't even understand him. Loftus-Cheek should've been given game time if we were going to be paying for a player 2 years older with no much difference. I blame the board still. We shouldn't have let Matic go and they wasted too much time chasing impossible targets only to end up buying second choices. Man Ure match is now a must win or someone about to be axed. |
Greatihex:4 Should be a D They don't even deserve any rating. They should be owing numbers. Awful Awful performance. |
Fabregas wants to sack this one again Ehhh ![]() |
Even a blind man would know Ovrebo is a Barca fan. If that match was played in Africa, that referee would've been killed fr ![]() |
raumdeuter:Conversion rate hasn't helped anyone. You have to make those runs and get in positions to score first. Harry Kane has one of the worst among the top leagues but every top team will still take him over other strikers. |
