Pre med if you want to call it that- is full four years in biology or chemistry in the US. In Kenya or UK or Ghana pre-med is 2yrs - as bachelors of medicine and surgery is offered. In US medicine is only offered as post-grad.

my nigger, pre medic is not a major perse , you aren't graduating with any sort of degree, it is just about combining some major subject like chemistry, biology and even sometimes unrelated subject like agriculture. You should be completing a premedic program within two years as a serious student .

In Ghana you can easily run an mBbS directly if you passed out with 7/ or 8 aggregate. It is only law that requires first degree and it has even change now. You can easily run a law degree directly ( it is four/ five years for a direct program and three years for post first degree program .

Must of those who participated in it and won are constantly giving free scholarship to study abroad or the best Private uni in the country. A dinner or lunch with president for just winning the competition , this is how we strengthen academic excellence . We made them recognised their value. We even reward them heavily with lots of cash and their teachers as well.

The lady who won the 2021 competition last year was admitted to three ivy league university abroad ( Harvard , MIT and one that is off my head for now ) the lady later choose pre medic program at Harvard uni. This is a lady completely from a poor family .

My boarding school experience still remain the best so far in my life . Too much fucking freedom in university. Imagined, doing something illegally and knowing well when caught you will be disciplined yet you still find some crazy moment to do it. You got some alias name based on your characters. I remember one of my mate who took bread and toothpaste toghther when breakfasts wasn't ready on time . Imagine bread and toothpaste.what a sweet boarding life experience. Everyday be drama.

Anyway I don't really visit kitchen as much but from the general knowledge, gas is way much cheaper than electricity. And can be easily regulated. I.e the amount of heat can be controlled …just by looking at the flame, you can easily adjust it and it will consume less amount of heat in which it will result in Longer use. Even on a technical note , Ghana electricity is mostly generated by natural gas .
