I understand that people are denied regardless of where they apply from. I was once denied USA visa on education ground in 2002. But I am here on the same ground. My Uk visa is valid till June of next year. My brother in USA is twin brother and as well as a USA citizen thru visa lottery. He has a highly paid job. But the fact is that I have no job at the moment as I am a student. I am single. What documents should I request from my brother? Will my admission letter, study permit, transcription, tuition fee receipt plus pictures with my brother be enough to convince the office I will return. I have pension scheme money of about N200,000 in naija, and about N20k with GTB and few stocks that will worth about N10k in naija. How do I convince this guy. USA is just about 3 hours from where I live in Toronto but I can't enter. Please help me urgently because my interview date is close.
Again, my twin applied for my green card. i know its a bad sign. Two of my sisters are US citizens. My mum is presently a green card holder and she is there at the moment. How do I convince this guys?

There's no need for you to sweat over nothing. 11years ago is a long time for your circumstance to change. You were refused visa to the U.S., but you choose Canada for the same reason i.e. studies (this is a plus for you).

Your number of years in attendance at the university will have to count toward the visa issuance, at least 2 & half years is sufficient.

Your negative point:

Your brother has applied for a LPR on your behalf, your sister and mum are already on LPR in the States, your series of attempt to enter the U.S. on a visa is already in the Dept of State's database (a hard time convincing any VO ).

Concerntrate on your studies for now, get very good grades and partake in volunteer activities in Toronto and environs with reference letter / certificate as proof. Later you can use this as a strong tie and commitment to Canada after which you now apply at the Consulate General of the United States, Toronto.

Thanks for your advice. I have already applied for the visa before I posted my question. I have my appointment date. Ya, I was thinking that LPR which has been applied for me could be a disadvantage. A friend who was in my situation was just given. The only question he was asked is why he was in a haste to travel and he said he was missing his people. I know different officers could view it in different ways.
Apart from my mother, the rest are citizens and have good jobs.
So many years of not seeing my people is not easy especially when you are about 3 hours away from the country.
At the moment, I have my education, my money in naija as my ties.
I have never stayed in any country illegally. In short apart from Canada, the maximum I have ever stayed in UK is 7 days.

Hi Justice. Please what has happened to our Visa Officer. Is he permanently banned or what? We have questions he/she needs to answer. My interview date is fast approaching? If he/she is banned, please release him. Or has he/she refused to come back? Please lets know how long we need to wait.

In 2006, my twin brother who is now an American citizen through visa lottery filed an Immigration petition for me. And it has not been approved up till now. My mother who is a permanent resident also filed for me in 2008 and was approved in 2009.
My case now is that I am now studying in Canada. Please what should my mother do so that I can be interviewed in Canada instead of Nigeria?
And again, I will like to visit US from Toronto where I am presently studying. I have a good travel history as I have visited UK twice. I have a valid Canadian Visa and Study permit. I also paid my tuition fee in full. I have asked my brother to send me an invitation letter which he will do. Please, what chance do I have? What documents do I need from my brother?
Lest I forget, I was once denied US visa in Nigeria on the ground that I could not convinced consular officer that I had genuine intention for education, but I'm in Canada for the same reason. My US visa denial was in 2002.

I am presently studying in Canada but wish to pay my sisters and brother visit in US. Please what are the documents required from me and my relatives in US?
I was once denied student visa some years ago by US and the passport has expired, so I'm using a different passport that has both valid UK and Canadian visas.

All u need to include is your app number. In my case, I only wrote to them to confirm if they had seen my medical test result and all my receipts and I got a reply after some hours. Anyway, I don't think there is any problem.

This is strange and grave. Don't you think the customer care is a better place to find a solution to his plight? Kindly place a call to them again and ask for way out.

Baba na my guy, Coleran.Dey refuse am after med sey his sponsor no dey sustainable.D sponsor has 11m in his acc b4 med and 7m after med.So, I don't think it is an issue of cash liquidity becos his coy docs were requested for in the issued med instruction which he took there in person.Although, he retrieved d docs same day.D sponsor is real and willing to do anything to support him.
Just trying to c he has a significant change in his app.

Pls how long from the day u submitted ur receipt for tuition did it take them to request for another statement of account. I'm asking because it is about a month now that I did my medical and almost 2 weeks I resubmitted my passport n receipts

Let your calculation b about 170 per dollar.
