doncartel: This story made me not to fear death again:
An ancient king heard about a secret pool which gives eternal life if someone drinks from it. He found the pool and went there.
But before he could drink, he saw an extremely old being or man lying near the pool. Long story short, the old being had drank the water thousands of years ago and was now tired of life.
That was how the king decided not to drink. He started seeing death as a privilege. So, long life and prosperity with painless death around 100 years old should be the ideal situation. This story does not help you fear death rather to fear living for too long because you are trying to avoid death But for you to wish to live to a 100 years is fear of death for if you had no fear of death, you would not mind dying at anytime even this very moment. |

SporaD8: Ever watch a baby play with fire before? The Baby knows no fear or limitations. Overtime, the baby adjust and learn base on what it is taught! Ancient soldiers and suicide jihadist have learned and relearn not to fear death. Death is a Transition; never a finality. Na baby be your example? you funny. You have obviously never had a baby before, if not you would have known that babies when they come in contact with death like every other human, fear death and react like every other human. Have you seen their reaction when you throw them too high up? They open their eyes in full fright. No one taught them that, yet they have it. And even the fire after they have touched it and seen it can kill them, will never go near it again. Then for your jihadists, it is clear that for them to learn and relearn not to fear death is proof that they fear death, they are only using brainwashing and delusion like you are doing |

Your entire arguement rests upon this assumption. If your assumption is false, it all collapses. Your use of the word "if" tells us you are still in conjectures and assumptions. When you have facts then come and talk. |

DissTroy: LOL. If you've read Christian theology and Biblical history beyond what your Papa-in-Lord told you on the pulpit and the 66-book abridged version of the Scriptures that is the modern Bible, you'll question many things too and find plot holes.
Nothing is a given. Just ensure you spiritually commune with the Being you believe in, even if it's for the placebo effect. Plot holes you say, yet you presented none. Placebo effect you say, if you fear nothing you would have no need for a placebo, proving in essence that you are in fear hence the need for consolation (placebo) |

itu404: Isaiah 64:6 But we are all as an unclean thing, and all our righteousnesses are as filthy rags; and we all do fade as a leaf; and our iniquities, like the wind, have taken us away.
What do you understand by this word “ righteousness”,? It means a right standing with God, without sin or blemish, spotless in all ramifications.Proverbs 14:34 Righteousness exalteth a nation: but sin is a reproach to any people. There is a lifting and exaltation to any people who attains righteouness. There is a lifting and exaltation to any people who attains this standard.
Alas! no man has been able to attain to God standard of righteousness, hence the lamentation in the book of Isaiah is undertandable. See Isaiah64:6, but we are all as an unclean thing, and all our righteousness’s are as filthy rags; and we all do fade as a leaf; and our iniquities, like the wind, have taken us away.Difference between righteousness and holiness. We are encourage to be holy in the book of1 Peter 1:16, Because it is written, Be ye holy; for I am holy. Any object or thing set apart for the use of God can also be holy like exodus3:5 And he said, Draw not nigh hither: put off thy shoes from off thy feet, for the place where on thou standest is holy ground. This is important
Man, thing or object can be holy because anything set apart for the use of God is declared holy.1 Peter 1:15, But as he which hath called you is holy, so be ye holy in all manner of conversation;
Man can attain holiness but not righteousnesRighteousness is without sin and standing blameless before the most high God. This is not obtainable so what happens?
Matthew 22:8-13 Then saith he to his servants, The wedding is ready, but they which were bidden were not worthy. Go ye therefore into the highways, and as many as ye shall find, bid to the marriage. So those servants went out into the highways, and gathered together all as many as they found, both bad and good: and the wedding was furnished with guests. And when the king came in to see the guests, he saw there a man which had not on a wedding garment: And he saith unto him, Friend, how camest thou in hither not having a wedding garment? And he was speechless. Then said the king to the servants, Bind him hand and foot, and take him away, and cast him into outer darkness; there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.
Righteousness is a gift Romans 5:17 For if by one man’s offence death reigned by one; much more they which receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness shall reign in life by one, Jesus Christ.) If it takes one man for death to pass unto all men it is only fair that it will also take one man for life to pass unto all men; the choice lies with us. The first Adam introduced death into man and the last Adam introduced life eternal into man.1 Corinthians 15:45 And so it is written, The first man Adam was made a living soul; the last Adam was made a quickening spirit. There is no place in the bible that echoes this choice that is before usl like the book of Deuteronomy 30:19, I call heaven and earth to record this day against you, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing: therefore choose life, that both thou and thy seed may live:
Romans 13:14 But put ye on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make no provision for the flesh, to fulfil the lusts thereof. The parable of the wedding feast shows a place of eternal glory, but you need a “pass”, and that “pass”, is a wedding garment, and that wedding garment is the lord Jesus, a spiritual garment that clothes us and all God sees thereafter, is his son. Therefore, the bible encourages us in the book of Romans13:14, to put on Jesus christ. No man who comes to God through Jesus has something [humilty] to boast about, for all boastings is in christ jesus and all victories is in him. For in him we move and have our very existence. it behoolves the believer to know this as we await his coming.
MARANATHA!
All quotation, from [KJV,] You are talking rubbish! Did God not call Noah, Job and Daniel Righteous? It thus means man and even men have attained Righteousness by God's Standard as God Himself declared. So the Isaiah you are referring to is about man's standard of righteousness which of course is complete and utter rubbish in the eyes of God. |

AntiChristian: The Christian theory from Paul has always been to relegate righteousness/works and elevate grace in Jesus!
Job was righteous/godly and yet this didn't stop his children from dying and properties destroyed! Just to answer you because I know say you be devu pikin. That is not true! Paul did no such thing. He only clearly understood that no amount of righteousness or works can save man, without man acknowledging his Saviour and living in the Love and help (grace) of his Saviour that is if he accepts that Jesus is his Saviour. Anything else is a nullity. And for Job, you could not say his godliness did not save him, for it did. And for children and properties, not a problem for they were replaced with even bigger and better, so no problems there. |

Because for me to answer your question, that would entail me knowing those things, meaning I have met them, to be able to describe them and to then speak of their attributes. But as humans it is as we say in law out of my jurisdiction so of course it is unreasonable and stupid to ask me that. |

thinkmoney: You don use another big English “mischievous”. People that want to be foolish will be foolish regardless of how much you try to show them logic. And conviction and beliefs that have been imbibed overtime is hard to let go. It’s like an abusive relationship, sometimes you die inside.
You said I invented the allegorical and I have showed you were the first verse of that revelation, the introductory verse said explicitly the things are shown in signs or symbols. Isn’t symbols another term for allegory and mentaphor? Instead of you to behave in a smart way and say things like “oh, that’s why even death was said to be thrown into the lake of fire. I get now , sorrry”, you are there cracking jokes wey no funny.
I have shown you one Bible verse to support my argument you in the other hand are just playing around and sticking with the tradition of men you have grown with. SMH Funny dude, na you use mischievous, I threw it back at you and you are complaining Now you lie and say I said you invented Allegory when I never said invented as my posts will prove. Is that how desperate you are? Well, this thread shows it is you who has been throwing Allegory up and down like you just stumbled upon a new word to use to protect your delusions. So because Allegory means symbols so we should throw away the fact that symbols point to and indicate something, a fact you have not been able to counter You have shown nothing to support you but rather it is against you and so clearly you are in denial of the truth that you are heading to Lake of Fire and nothing you say will stop it. So over to you to find words that I have used here to fight with, since your argument is empty and contains nothing. Then when you finish fighting my words, you can go on to repeat your delusions |

thinkmoney: I tell you to be humble. The Bible itself said that. These things I am telling you isn’t my own invention. I will show you ; Revelation 1:1 in three different translations Aramaic Bible in Plain English The Revelation of Yeshua The Messiah, which God gave to him, to show his Servants what had been given to soon occur, and he SYMBOLIZED it when he sent by his Angel to his Servant Yohannan.
Literal Translations Literal Standard Version A revelation of Jesus Christ that God gave to Him to show to His servants what things must quickly come to pass; and He SIGNIFIED [it], having sent through His messenger to His servant John.
A revelation by Jesus Christ, which God gave him, to show his slaves the things that must shortly take place. And he sent his angel and presented it in SIGNS through him to his slave John.
I will tell you one thing out of love. Several populor Bible translations in English that we have now are either poorly done, or translation from another translation like is the case with KJV, or done with mischief to conform with some theology and narrative. You really have to study widely, compare translations and study bibles that offer literal translations to really understand the mind of God. Salvation is real work. Devil is trying to muddle up the Bible.
You will notice sadly that many modern Bible remove that part that says “sign/signify/symbols”. I hope to hear from you again. You have already said”delusional” and “you wish”, I want to hear another big grammar So because of the use of symbolize and signify/signs which is used to indicate and point to something now means Allegory to you when it does not suit you right? You are the mischievous one here and no matter how many times you ask me to humble, meaning make I no talk again I will tell you the truth you don't want to hear which is what do they all indicate/point to (signs) is that people including you are going to be permanent residents of the Lake of Fire. So you can allegorize all you want, it would not change a thing! |
Christianity Etc › Re: So After Burning Us In Hell What Will God Actually Gain? by vdestro: 2:11pm On Dec 15, 2025 |
thinkmoney: Be humble guy. Revelation is allegorical. Many events and things there are symbols like you have in Daniel and Ezekiel’s visions. That’s why you have Jesus represented by a Lamb and you have some four elders having animals features
The incident where people were throne in the lake of fire symbolizes total destruction. To prove this further, note that Death also was thrown in this same lake of fire. Now can death be held? It’s metaphor to denote total destruction, to tell you that at a point in the future Death and sinners will cease to exist You wish! Now that Revelations which is contained in the same Bible you earlier relied on, does not suit you, now its Allegory. There is no Allegory or giringory there no matter how much you wish. The Creator has told you plainly that his creations of which death is one of them would be cast in the lake of fire, shikena. The fact you can not hold death, does not mean the Creator of death can not hold it. So it is not for you to allegorize something when you don't like it. You will be cast into the lake whether you wish it away or not. |
