I still don't understand why some people still pay attention to a delusional paid element who is so sick and obsessed with anything PO. The delusional element is a known double-mouthed individual who thinks he can hoodwink the populace with his half-clever post sadly promoting divisiveness for his person gains. Worst is he is not even living here to benefit from the hostile atmosphere he is trying create. Always looking for opportunity to instigate tribal fight. What a moronic individual! |
Igbo and self hate na 5 & 6 with a touch of jealousy. He is always speaking against PO who has never mentioned his name just because he is bent on prompting internal hate and jealous of PO's organic love and acceptance. fergie001: |
You mean self inflicted challenge and they have failed to learn from the mistake since 2015? If PDP is really serious to become a formidable party as you asserted, what is Wike still doing in the party? So, do they expect the rulling party to create and implement strict disciplinary unit for them? These are the salient questions we must ask ourself. Recently, Wike was boasting about how he singlehandedly sacked the former chairman. Is that a party to rely upon in the next election? It is a shame that, a national party has been reduced to its shadow by one individual who should have been expelled over 2 years ago. slivertongue: |
Perhaps bold speculation like this is necessary when they need forex to deceive the masses and flood the market with stored forex for them to purchase. I just read about the collapse of naira sales of PMS at the Dangote refinery, which invariably means the opposite of this speculation. Great100000: |
Letter from 2 different camps, Bala/Seyi and Wike's... PDP is dead...they need to deregister and relaunch with new drive, image laundering, credibility, etc slivertongue: |
This statement is very insensitive. It does not reflect well on the recognized Christian personality. We must understand the missing link that lies at the root of so much religious division in the world: "We are all human before any religion." "Religion is circumstantial, while humanity is one." Irrespective of our faith. NiRfreak: |
I really feel for you however, there is this saying "You are your own god and your own devil" There are simple practical materials out there you can grapse, peruse to overcome all your addiction. It's not too late, I think you have started your healing process already since you have identified your additions, next is to act to ensure you keep to the practical steps you will learn from the material. Think of productive actions you can engage in to take your mind away from your addictions. You just need to be intentional. ChildOfDoom: |
Can someone invoke the FOI act to compell the celebrant to publish the names of the donors ? We need to start asking questions to curb corruption in our continent. We must know the donors, find out their intentions and sources of such funds. |
I still don't understand why most people are so hypocritical on regious matters. The poster is quick to cast an aspersion on the lady simply because she was on Niqab without clearly reviewing the points she made in the course of that argument as he claimed. Must humans be judged on the basis of dressing or the view they hold on critical matters? Will the poster had said same he if met his biological mother trying to correct or push her opinion based on her conviction? They always seen ladies as less privileged, the same way they have turned Afghanistan to something else. I wonder what would have become the world assuming everyone is practicing one faith. I just hope this fanatical ideas be totally condemned and rejected forthwith. |
Many questions remain unanswered regarding the fraudulent subsidy regime, which has consistently had a negative impact on the country to date. Someone should enlighten me; The so-called subsidy removal took place as soon as this government came to power. As soon as the removal was announced on May 29, 2023, people were forced to buy already subsidized products at exorbitant prices. The pump price of PMS increased from 142 naira to approximately 540-560 naira, depending on the case. When the Dangote refinery was commissioned, the price was readjusted to approximately 1,000 naira per liter. My question is: what was the logic behind this significant adjustment, when the price was approximately 500 naira after the subsidy removal? Nigerians need to know why we are paying this exorbitant price for fuel that is produced solely from crude oil, which the country is rich in. |
I sincerely respect Emir Sanusi's position on the subsidy regime, right from the beginning of the debate on its abolition or continuation. The issue today is not about the abolition of subsidies, but about the terms of their abolition, leaving the population in an unspeakable situation. Successive governments have attempted to remove subsidy with a clear palliative plan, in which the current Emir participated. Those who opposed the process and sponsored all sorts of demonstrations against the government of the time were the ones who implemented the untimely removal of the subsidy, about which they misinformed the public. Certain utterances and body language they displayed would be enough to set the country ablaze if they were constantly amplified in the media, today. The current economic situation, brought about by the unplanned removal of subsidies, clearly undermines the essence of this action. |
Clearly, the recipients of free laptops have invaded this thread, as usual. And for the so-called ruling party, one thing is certain: your days of misrule are numbered. It is appalling that, amidst all the burning national issues demanding your attention, you are focusing on a single decampee. I am sure that if you weren't afraid, this topic wouldn't have even been considered; you would have spent all this time writing this nonsense? People are free to associate with whomever they want, just like anyone who claims to be a member of your party today. I would advise the so-called ruling party, rather than focusing on one individual to denigrate, create an environment conducive to governance and electoral processes. Nigerians will decide who they truly wants to govern them. The actions of the so-called ruling party clearly confirm the saying: "He who kills with a machete cannot tolerate anyone with a knife around them" For the first time, I have seen a ruling party behave like the opposition in its comments. Normally, a ruling party is expected to silence the opposition with actions, not unfounded statements. |
Governor Sanwo-Olu, anytime I see him, I seldom regard him as just a governor of Lagos but a big brother in a family house who choses exemplary leadership and relationship with the people over just being a Governor. He's demonstrated that governance can be extended beyond just relating with close associates alone but seeing every individual as his constituents. I am glad that social media is now a critical instrument in our democracy. He's a rare gem and kudos to him. |
Said character was specifically employed as consultant element attached to PO affairs hence his consistent inglorious outburst only meant to justify a pay cheque. He is half intelligent in his duties as he's already tired of being considered as useless and unpatriotic by the populace who truly understands the game he is in for. He has lost his credibility and the inconsequential public appeal he gannered prior to his unpopular paid assignment |
My question is: why are you pushing for this fuel subsidy reform as if it were APC's original idea? Isn't this the same subsidy removal you used for political maneuvering in 2012, when the then government wanted to end it, but you misinformed the public by calling GEJ all sorts of names? You're celebrating what "the clueless man" saw at the time, but you couldn't see. Last time I checked, "the Clueless" had a clear stopgap plan in place to reduce the hardships of removing fuel subsidy, but you did nothing. Honestly, rather than presenting you with a perfect narrative to appear extraordinary, I expected you to show remorse and apologize to the "clueless man" even though he saw the future more clearly than most of you, using the reforms he initiated, but sabotaged by the same people in government today, to boast today as if they were your ideas. I'm sure that if someone had done half of what you did in 2012, the current government would have initiated trump up charges against such individuals or groups. |
GYB did his best to retain power in his previously marginalized zone. The state is owned by virtually three ethnic groups, but the Igalas were obsessed with power. I know that an Ebira man would not have become governor in normal times if it weren't for the death of Abubakar Audu, which finally changed the political calculation. I am convinced that there are good leaders in all tribes, but ethnicity will not allow the emergence of a people-oriented leader. The Igala should rest; Kogi State does not belong to them alone; after all, they are no different from GYB when it comes to bad leadership. I am certain that the current governor also comes from this same line of politicians who have nothing to offer. There has been no significant news regarding developments in Kogi since he came to power. |
DrAda:I think the narrative seems to have been summarized, omitting some of the salient points, hence the gaps identified. |
Again, another evil ''structure" entrenched. The constitutionally elected governor is now going to be restored and remained as a toothless bulldog. This is indeed pyrrhic not only to the governor but the state in general. |
What positive impact did Tambuwal have on reducing poverty and illiteracy in Sokoto during his tenure as governor? Innocent Deborah was killed under his watch, not to mention the other social vices noted during his tenure. While I don't fully support the current government's policies, Tambuwal has no moral right to tell Nigerians who to vote for. After all, he was instrumental to the PMB project which has proven to be one of the worst cases of bad governance in the country. |
ufotty2001:May God Almighty bless your home with all you desire. It is still fine, no time is too late when you take necessary decisions that will impact generations to come. It is not how far but, how well. |
For those who understand how a public procurement process works, I doubt that due diligence was conducted prior to award. Second point: I find the contract amount ridiculous for 22 school buildings, you're joking! I'm sure the contractor in question was desperate to receive a bulk amount. He should have identified the dangers at the time of award, and you know, graft and kickbacks will also be present. Another senseless act on the part of the contractor was refusing to respond to calls and provide a proper cost analysis to request a variation rather than playing hide and seek. I clearly understand that the government has good intentions towards the state, but the procurement process, especially in government circles, remains shrouded in secrecy, hence this unethical behavior by the contractor in question. In my opinion, the government should have used professional channels where the actions of the contractor in question are regulated before approaching the EFCC. It is not precisely because of the individual, but because of the reputation of the company and its many employees. |
It's not entirely fair for the state to prohibit a legal livelihood simply because it wants to identify with the masses. This is clearly creating a problem to solve an existing one. I would have preferred the government to regulate and enforce rents and agency fees. It would be more of a pricing system aimed at protecting the population from unfair exploitation. Citizens invest their time and resources in developing the real estate sector, which invariably adds value to the state. This is a political intervention, not a purely economic solution. |
The constant call for the creation of a state police force clearly shows that the centralized police model no longer meets the needs of our country. However, for the successful decentralization of our police system, we must still take the following steps to ensure that the state police model meets security needs rather than serves as an instrument of revenge in the hands of the state executive. A further, unambiguous repeal of the Police Act is necessary to include provisions to take into account the actions reserved for the federal security unit (exclusive), the states (concurrent), and local authorities (residual) to allow for clear direction and avoid abuse by state actors. |
The current administration must pay homage to Obj, whom they denigrated during his eight years in power. Despite the devastation inflicted on the country by the military, Obj worked tirelessly to repair the damage, but was insulted only by most people who knew the truth, simply because they wanted power. They insulted him, slandered him, and misinformed the public. Today, they are going the same route he saw decades ago, without even acknowledging his contributions to the country or apologizing for misleading the public against a true patriot. Trust is earned by acknowledging past mistakes, taking responsibility, and feeling remorse. |
It all began with a political agitation group aiming to force the government to meet its demands. The elites then feigned ignorance of their atrocities, considered them as their foot soldiers, until they became so audacious, destructive, and radical that they spiraled out of control. Today, they are crying foul. I only hope that these useless sects will cease their senseless destruction of human lives, having already been rewarded with the following benefits: 1. Creation of the Northeast Commission 2. Countless useless amnesty programs 3. Establishment of military bases in many locations, which will invariably continue to attract government presence and boost the local economies of the host communities 4. Special opportunity to curry favor with the government through social investment programs 5. Social networking through the presence of numerous functional organizations and institutions throughout the state 6. Employment opportunities through reconstruction programs 7. Other countless political benefits abound |
What can we expect from a man who seems overzealous in spreading lies? Of course, he must misfire trying to appear clever to the audience. And one thing is certain, as the saying goes: "Out of the abundance of heart, the mouth speaketh." |
What amazes me is that the elites suddenly realize that the masses they have misgoverned live in abject poverty only when they are out of government or displaced by their evil political structures. The people who rode on subsidy removal protest to be in government suddenly have declared whoever that opposed subsidy removal as enemy of the country forgetting that, if we are to profile people based on their assertion now, they are the number one enemy of Nigeria. |
Anything PO will always attract the free laptop beneficiaries to carryout their paid evil tasks. How can some people make progress with such a mindset of destroying peoples' characters just because of politics? |
All these so-called coalitions fail to address the major problems plaguing our country, yet are always quick to chase clout to remain relevant. There is "University of Amala" a traditional Yoruba restaurant, as well as "University of Suya," but it is Geh Geh University that is their problem. I wonder what they were doing before this opportunity to chase clout presented itself. Nigerians are not fools; they know how to spot a joke. I expected any well-intentioned coalition to pay attention and insist on the need for electoral reforms, which must include combating abuses against academia and coercing their Professors into shameful electoral compromises. Geh Geh University is not Nigeria's problem. |
It's heartbreaking. The PBAT I know would not have stooped so low as to deceive the masses about such fraud. We have all witnessed the transformation of the primary, secondary, and tertiary healthcare facilities he built in Lagos State. All I ask is that he end the impunity that state actors have been able to perpetrate and implicate him in such fraud. The world is over, the days when politicians could commit blatant fraud without any consequences. Understanding this requires a thorough investigation to unravel the motives behind these anomalies. That is why we have insisted that every political leader use public healthcare facilities to understand the plight of taxpayers, rather than using the same funds meant for renovation, construction, maintenance, etc., to travel abroad solely for medical care that they have deprived their citizens of and exposed them to avoidable death. |
Has Doyin Okupe family complained to you that Obi didn't pay a condolence visit to the family? Who are you to question his movement? As what exactly? Clearly, a free laptop beneficiary spoted! zero8zero: |
What a stupid and baseless criticism. Peter Rufai was buried this weekend and it's normal that the deceased family will still be receiving visitors especially those who could not attend the burial. PMB was buried about over a month ago and the family is still receiving visitors even after moving to Kaduna. These guys are so sick and obsessed with the name Peter Obi. I am sure the free laptop beneficiary gang will support his stupidity on this. Lere is gradually becoming a nuisance on social media and I hope people around him would be bold enough to caution him. What a moronic and myopic submission! |
