Which Senate, the one of the APC senators, I presume? If we are not careful, the impending revolution in our country will be hastened by this irresponsible 10th Senate. GSM is the sitting governor and possesses extensive knowledge of security matters. Even if he doesn't have total control, he at least reviews the daily security reports. Such a man cannot be ignored. He acted with great prudence by calling for an independent investigation, without accusing anyone. But those same people who went to America shouting "bring back our girls!" suddenly realize that Nigeria is a sovereign state. In the similar incident for which they blamed President Jonathan, exonerating Shettima, they are now accusing GSM instead of the president. I think Nigerians need to realize that the people in Abuja care little for the people they claim to represent; sadly, they only care about their political careers. For my part, GSM's call for a more thorough investigation should not be ignored, even if career politicians seek to protect their interests and by extension, ill-gotten wealth |
This is where the need for independent candidates becomes truly meaningful in our electoral system. I imagine our collective wealth is being squandered on a project to destabilize the opposition. What a shame! And for those being manipulated by the ruling party to perpetrate this evil, it's important to remember that money isn't everything. It is our collective duty to protect our country. Unfortunately, a handful of corrupt individuals are using their malevolent minds to destroy democracy. No thanks to the ruling party. |
When some people meddle in political matters that would be resolved in minutes, I sincerely pity them. Many are unaware that Governor Abah is Kwankwaso's son-in-law and that some of the governor's children are Kwankwaso's grandchildren. Do we really believe these men are actually fighting? Do we think the governor's wife will support her husband against her father, or vice versa? These men are positioning themselves to maintain their influence. Imagine if the ADC wins over the APC: the governor will immediately bow down to his father-in-law… It's nothing but self-serving politics. Nobody cares. |
Nothing lasts forever. Yahya Jammeh of Gambia did even worse than anybody could have thought of. He changed the entire Gambian currency, and all had his photos, but today, all that madness stands reversed. |
There are no substances in this conversation, it's completely pointless. Unfortunately, Nigeria is being held hostage, and the only way to appear intelligent is to deny the obvious with excessive arrogance, or even to spread blatant lies to defend one's protégé. What a disgrace! |
Sometimes, there's nothing spiritual about it, contrary to what some might think. There's a period ripe for courtship and settling down, which most women don't understand. You can't just go out with virtually every man because of an iPhone and other such trivialities and expect a man to make a serious commitment within that ripe period. I worry about ladies, especially those with chubby figures; you can't turn back time, and when reality catches up with them, this kind of situation is inevitable. Nevertheless, I feel for them; they can take a step back, reflect on their lives, and sometimes even find the person (or men) they've offended and try to make amends. I hope the likes of Saida bodge or whatever she calls herself and her likes are taking note...? |
Reasons below: 1. Indiscretion 2. High unemployment 3. The outcome of many marriages raises fears among potential couples 4. Exploitation, particularly by women: dating has become a way to commodify relationships; prospective spouses may struggle to meet this demand. 5. Lack of seriousness on the part of both sexes during the period conducive to marriage, which sometimes transforms their potential spouse into just a boyfriend/girlfriend. Before they even realize it, especially women, it is often too late to commit. 6. Unrealistic fantasies, which can be partly explained by point #5. 7. Social pressure to conform to a particular model, at the expense of individual development. The situation will only worsen over time, as GenZ has a poor understanding of the true meaning of submission and contentment. Moreover, with this unfortunate "get rich quick" mentality, many are reluctant to build their lives around what really matters. |
Internet access is now essential for the viability and smooth operation of an airport. I have traveled to many countries, and even within our sub-region, Nigeria is the only country without a functional internet connection at its facilities. I was surprised recently when visiting Togo and Niger, countries among the least likely to offer a connection; I was astonished. FAAN can effectively deploy connectivity at its airports for passengers, as it is not a luxury, but a necessity. For example, almost everyone uses WhatsApp, and in most cases, one is not expected to buy a SIM card for every trip, especially while in transit. The goal of airport connectivity is to allow passengers to receive calls and conduct online transactions during their transit, or for tourists/visitors to contact their hosts upon arrival. I remember a terrible experience at Murtala Muhammed International Airport: my local SIM cards were blocked due to a problem with my NIN. I couldn't contact my family after my late arrival. Luckily, an airport employee lent me her phone. I tipped her, though. We need to make progress in this area. These things happen everywhere, so it's not a big deal unfortunately, they have left us behind in these little things because we seems to play politics with basic necessity |
This woman is utterly useless. She is only audible when the government does not favour her, personally. She remained silent despite all the tragic events that occurred during PMB's disastrous administration. The PBAT even nominated her for a position on the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), a nomination categorically rejected by the National Assembly. She is only speaking out now, overwhelmed by her disappointment at having failed the National Assembly's screening process. I still don't understand why she wasn't slapped by the well-meaning Nigerians who took to the streets to sincerely demonstrate for the common good of our country. Such a person should be kept away from genuine activists. |
The secrete of success lies in little but significant things. I remember my first paycheck: I took a substantial sum, bought a bottle of wine, and gave it to a family friend who had recommended me for the position. He told me things I didn't know at the office and even prayed for me. Even today, nearly twenty years later, his prayers continue to bear fruit in my career. |
So what? Isn't he Nigerian? He even benefited from government largesse when you were in power, unlike most ordinary Nigerians like myself. The only direct benefit I ever received from the government was when Governor Victor Attah funded the NECO registration fees for the first candidates when it was established in 2000. And if I may ask, where was your son when the infamous PMB regime, of which you were a part, sent the army to massacre innocent Nigerians at the Lekki toll gate? Why didn't you ask him to participate in that protest? Still very fresh in our minds how you undermined the GEJ administration and recruited data boys to carryout propaganda against the administration leading to this calamitous situation. I'm sure you are proud, the rulling party is still using your "data boys" templates on Nigerians. Oga you are part of the problem and your participation in the protest is nothing but clout chasing. |
If everyone should continue to repost PBAT's tweets when he was in opposition, that alone are enough to discredit this inglorious administration. Their only concerns are 2027 elections. |

Clearly, there won't be election in 2027 but a hand-written "selections" as experienced in 2003 during Obj second term. Sadly, all the gains we had recorded in our electoral system are now reversed simply because of the interest of one man. May we not see shame and I pray this fraudulent electoral system will not last for too long from today. |
AI don suffer |
And they also call Nigeria a "Beggystan" Which kind wahala be this, bai? |
I don't see Governor Yusuf disrupting the traditional council in its current configuration. He won't stoop to such petty tactics because he has nothing to prove. His defection is merely a maneuver to secure a second term, which is common in politics. The central government controls state institutions, and it will be difficult for any governor who doesn't align with it to return. For example, we've received allegations from Enugu that public school teachers were forced to register as members of the APC. If these allegations are true, we're already facing a complete takeover of the state by the inglorious APC administration. In any case, Governor Yusuf has a long-standing relationship with Kwankwaso, who happens to be his father-in-law. Emir Sanusi and Kwankwaso has an enduring relationship... |
Their usual propaganda to save face. They failed to mention that the Nigerien military dealt a heavy blow to their men: more than 20 terrorists neutralized, including a French national, and about ten captured alive. On Saturday, I learned that intelligence operations were still underway to capture others on Nigerien territory. From the information released by the government, the attack was targeted at the military base at the airport to destroy their air defence system in order to have free exit to take away precious stones and other solid minerals like uranium out of the country with the help of helicopter undetected but they met their Waterloo

Thank you, Showunmi, you're such an active person! Since you described another person as being lazy, I assumed that, given your dynamism, you'll get hold of a nomination form and run in the next presidential election. What a go-getter! |
Eriokanmi:It's pathetic to think Nigerians are fools. Imagine the blatant lie! Let's do a simple calculation to convert the supposedly highest reserve into US dollars, and do the same for other administrations using the exchange rates at the time and the current rate, to determine which one was the highest. Their lies will always be exposed. |
Yet another misleading narrative designed to deceive the unwary. Other administrations have achieved these figures during fuel subsidy regime. Obasanjo actually revised our foreign reserve upward through a significant increase in petroleum product prices during his administration. Despite that, he obtained excellent results, and yet he was criticized by the very forces that seek to impose a false narrative on us. |
In short, all of this represents an opportunity for CAF to generate even more revenues. I would like FIFA to also wade in and sanction CAF for the referees' high-handedness, so that they don't see this as an opportunity to provoke inappropriate reactions from players or the technical team for the sole purpose of generating more revenue |
The presidency must stop justifying itself and learn to act properly. We all know the President is an elderly man, and of course, I wish him well as he grows older. He is a human being, and you must ensure he uses a walking stick when he is on any international stage. A walking stick is not a disease; it is a sign of the divine blessing of having reached a certain age on earth. Always take responsibility and stop making excuses. Accusing innocent carpet and undermining the efforts of the event planners as if he was the only one who walked on the carper is simply absurd. |
