I don't even wait for riders to ask for AC, once I see rider dey come out, I don start my car start AC.

First, you want to avoid any level of disrespect or conversations.

Secondly, as you on AC, na you dey enjoy pass inside hot sun.

In my own ride o, AC is a must. Early in the morning, sometimes, some riders usually ask to off that they need fresh air.

sconp:
Lol.

Every rider in whatever category is entitled to AC while the ride is on. This is well enshrined in the rules of these ehailing apps except the rider states otherwise. By switching on the AC, you're not doing the rider a favour, that service is paid for.

You can make a case for better fares, you can choose to accept or decline trips based on the manner of approach, that's totally within your prerogative.

Lagos state government is on her own on this.
Tint permit (non-scence).
Hackney P (non-scence)
This one, too (non-scence).
The only things I owe the government are car particular, road worthiness, Insurance, driver's license.
If indrive wan hack themselves for leg, make dem dey suspend drivers wey refuse to do am.
This government is just up for no good - looking for every route to hook everyone for their web.
Why are they putting too much muscle on e-hailing wey we dey manage use survive?
The only situation that would make me succumb to all these úsé-lé#ss requirements the government has been trying to impose on us is if there's no alternative source of livelihood for me.
Awón weyrey.

Much respect, boss.
Make we no go too much on this topic on this platform, e get why. Make everyone just keep safe out there dey do their thing the way they know best.

Nelochukwu:
No his entitled to being driven to his destination. AC is comfort not a necessity to completing the trip however, categories like bolt comfort or indrive comfort requires you to on the AC cause the fares are significantly more expensive.

Iz worse wen a rider doesn't even respond to ur greeting and the first things is HOPE UR AC IS WORKING? It always pisses me off. Once u don start convo with me like that then u don fail exam ooo. Guaranteed I won't carry cause even my response d rider go know say I don vex

Then off course for the Uber app the AC remains on always cause Uber pays u very well bro weather traffic dey or not. Infact if u encounter traffic on Uber no panic. Just dey smile and watch what ur Lord can do wen u end d trip. *Na u go pity rider grin*

I hope u understand my position
I said since I started driving with Uber, 3 things has changed.

1. I don forget say some dey exist wey them dey call bolt
2. I no dey worry about traffic again. As this poster said, na me go come dey pity ridder, because them too go don start to dey grumble.
3. I dey smile everyday I dey work. I drive less trip now with reasonable income per day.

And I keep saying it, the fact that I have the liberty to go to where I want to, I don too suffer for bolt hand, over 1 year. When I see my rating dey drop, I'll have to pick atleast 4-5 trips wey no make wey no make sense, pick up distance is much, ride to where you literally don't like to go etc.

But on Uber, nothing like that, the only thing they frown at is accepting without completing it.

God bless Uber

This E hailing business, abeg, make we give am to Uber. They Sabi the work die.

Their professionalism is sweet.

The fact that drivers have the liberty to choose where and where not to go is their best feature.

And how they deduct their charges shows they know what they're doing.

Bolt blocked me because a riders cancelled trips I picked while I was still on a ride, like what am I supposed to do? Fly?? Bolt is simply wicked.
BusinessRe: If You Are Uber Partner In Lagos, Please Share Your Experience Here by Vela01: 2:46pm On Oct 28, 2025
Depends on where you are.
Google it, it'll bring all the locations, find the nearest to you.

E no dey pass 2-3k

ebiye55:
Has anyone done Bolt inspection reentry?

Where and how much?
BusinessRe: If You Are Uber Partner In Lagos, Please Share Your Experience Here by Vela01: 7:00pm On Oct 27, 2025
Whereas there's no penalty for riders o.

It has happened to be before, drove long distance to a location with bad road. Few metres to pickup, the idiot cancelled. I reported to bolt, they said I'm not entitled to cancellation fee.
I wan craze.
Now, I dont move an inch until I message and you reply.

It's a crazy feeling

Omoapena:
Bolt still blocks for rider cancellation🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️

Bolt is really annoying, someone will order you and before you know it, they have canceled it and you get blocked for that.
BusinessRe: If You Are Uber Partner In Lagos, Please Share Your Experience Here by Vela01: 3:26pm On Oct 27, 2025
That's the logic, don't pick unreasonable trips, if you don't know the area, just ignore.

The good thing about Uber is, you're at liberty to ignore request as you like, it won't affect any rating like it does on bolt.

I did 8400 from Osapa to Lagos business school 2 times this morning on uber.

Pearl1910:
Bolt fare is not fixed.
If u see a rubbish price ignore it. If the person try repeatedly without success d price will come up.
Like someone said, don't be in a hurry to be on d move. Do ur analysis well before u pick trips. 9k should be VI highest. How can I do Badore to Gbagada for 9k net. That's d easiest way to enter frustration and depression.
BusinessRe: If You Are Uber Partner In Lagos, Please Share Your Experience Here by Vela01: 5:26am On Oct 27, 2025
To move to Badore because of Uber work? You forgot that people have life outside of E-hailing?

Kumuyiii:
Lol it's better to move to badore chief
BusinessRe: If You Are Uber Partner In Lagos, Please Share Your Experience Here by Vela01: 6:42pm On Oct 26, 2025
Early morning wey you talk na him make am bad. Early morning on Uber and bolts, that's when prices are high with surge, you come dey limit yourself to a fixed fee of 63km for 15k😌

cyif2003:
pls how is this a bad trip?? From aguda. Early in d morning. I no agree with u on this
BusinessRe: If You Are Uber Partner In Lagos, Please Share Your Experience Here by Vela01: 6:39pm On Oct 26, 2025
I love what Someone said. If you're a newbie, no matter what anyone tell you, until you enter road, make few mistakes, made some luck. Then you'll discover what works best for you.

Like me, I live in OTA, but I don't work on the mainland at all.
As a matter of fact, I don't wait to get ride in the morning.
I live home as early as 5am, pick 4 people going to VI/Lekki. I drive straight down.

Work start immediately I get to the island.

Lekki axis is my route.

I don't usually take VI/Ikoyi in the morning as you MAY not see trip back to lekki on time.

Lekki, Ajah, sangotedo, Badore etc till around 3/4 then I go can take VI or IKOYi trip with certain assurance of getting a good long surge trip to sangotedo or Badore axis.

From 4 till 9pm, you go still dey chop long surge trip on both bolt and Uber.

I leave mainland to the main guys😂

But you see that indrive, me and them are not meant to be.
BusinessRe: If You Are Uber Partner In Lagos, Please Share Your Experience Here by Vela01: 10:20am On Oct 25, 2025
This kind of rider will never come on Uber or Bolt with all these stops, I trust those 2 platforms, they'll hand their leg. But indrive 😂 yao yao platform 🙄😌

Yes, the Lagos factor. And e get areas in Lagos too Sha.

However, even in that abj, you need to learn the modules t maximize profits.

If your pick up is usually longer than 1.9km. say 3-5km. Theres no way you'll not net low.

And avoid driving around empty looking for orders, that's another way of reducing income.
When driving, do not overspeed so that you can avoid heavy breaks that alone can drain all your fuel.
There are lots Sha, but try look into the few highlights

Morningstarrr:
Hmmn.... I envy your vehicle fuel consumption. With my Peugeot 307, 15k fuel usually nets 7500. Though Abuja prices are extremely poor.
BusinessRe: If You Are Uber Partner In Lagos, Please Share Your Experience Here by Vela01: 10:00am On Oct 24, 2025
Before, na Bolt I dey use strictly, but now, Uber don take over.

I only use bolt to get out of areas where Uber no too request.

I find it difficult to come to terms with indrive 😂😃

You use Bolt?

Sorry, na English wan wound me

I mean Gross.
After commission and fuel deduction, I should have 20k or more in Lagos.

dav1002:
If I get you correctly, you both earn the same

You make 20k net (After commission deduction alone)

BusinessRe: If You Are Uber Partner In Lagos, Please Share Your Experience Here by Vela01: 8:45pm On Oct 23, 2025
Boss, Ibadan is generally like that for business.

In Lagos, I use the same toyota matrix. With 10k fuel, I should make 20k net.

The things is, target residential areas in the morning, and buzzing centers during the day. Ventura in Samonda, heritage in dugbe, ShopRite in ring road etc.

feran15:
Good evening all, I'm based in ibadan and I'm doing Uber with my toyota matrix

so far I've been able to make about 10k profit when using 10k fuel and then coming out from about 7am to 4pm

I also don't do any negotiating with users.

this would be okay for me but I find myself parked for hours sometimes waiting for a trip.

I use mainly bolt because that's where the rides are.

I've tried Uber but I usually don't get requests and on indrive, the trips disappear before I can even determine if they are worth it.

please is there anyone based in ibadan here that can help me with the areas where I can camp and times of the day so I can see rides regularly

and any other tips in general
BusinessRe: If You Are Uber Partner In Lagos, Please Share Your Experience Here by Vela01: 3:45pm On Oct 23, 2025
Abeg, make we learn to understand our body and know our strength. Don't over work yourself because of targets. Take rest at intervals and don't hesitate to go home and sleep for a day or 2.

One of our guys nearly enter under trailer now for jakande as he don sleep for traffic.

Na rider shout wey he take wake up.

May God continue to protect us

You're not really clear.
You're looking at starting and you're looking for a driver.

Is it that you want to give the driver a car to drive? Is it that you need lessons on the route?

What exactly are you looking for ?

Hamdash01:
Hi everyone,
I'm looking to connect with a high-performing driver who really knows their way around Abuja. I'm considering starting Bolt and want someone reliable, experienced, and familiar with the city’s routes and traffic patterns.
If you know someone who fits the bill, please send them my way. Thanks in advance!

Bolt blocked me 3 days ago, na so I switched to Uber fully o.

Today, I picked a trip from Ajah to Igbobi for Onipanu. The initial price was 16k, when ride started, rider said she saw estimated price as 18k, I no talk.

Na so we enter Traffic from Ajah till Osapa from 9am till 12pm.

When we got to destination, and I ended trip, even myself fear, money was 32k.
And I get about 14k inside the App, they deducted their commission from there. That was the end of my work today, I dey on bed since that time. Tomorrow is another day.

People wey dey use uber and indrive nkor, those prices are fixed... Unless uber is different
