Na the Billionaire wey una dey call dey vex me. Do you know what it means to be a billionaire, you come dey deceive yourself that they're not receiving premium healthcare, dey there dey deceive yourself maybe na you and them dey live.

It's beginning to look like many people here don't know the meaning of being a "Billionaire"😃😃

Nelochukwu:
Even as a billionaire in Nigerian, u can't guarantee that u are getting premium healthcare even wen u are paying premium.

Una still dey drag this in 2026? All man to his thinking o.

2 factors are involved.

1.
Person wey never leave 9ja before go think say abroad na heaven where manner fall.
There are countless homeless and jobless people both foreigners and citizens in top A countries all over the world. If person dey deceive himself about life wey he never experience, na him know.

2
Person fit dey talk from a place of ignorance of what it means to be a "Billionaire"😃

I rest abeg

Dabadwela:
I understand ur points but saying it's better to living pay check to pay check in abroad than to be a billionaire in Nigeria get as e be.

As a billionaire in Nigeria,do you understand the benefits it comes with?

I can easily go to any country of my choice either as vacation or a business trip for investment opportunities.

Why them never kidnap billionaire people them for East or North, na because them dey guarded wella. Abi na health care, na to fly abroad treat myself come back if naija for fit handle am.

Correct, that's the spirit.

I am happy with the hustle so far. My dashboard is very much comparable to the OGs here considering that I didn’t even know how to drive 3 to 4 months ago.
BusinessRe: If You Are Uber Partner In Lagos, Please Share Your Experience Here by Vela01: 5:39pm On Jan 07
Lol, that's why one guy said if you're starting E-hailing in Nov/Dec, and it's doing you like you should quit your 9-5, it may be your village people advising you😂.

While January is a bit slow, I believe with proper calculation, at all all, you go still dey smile. Like I said, anything wey make me dey save 20k in a day, guide like 10k for home sorting, I dey alright.

If price low on Indrive, check bolt and Uber. That's the logic. Na on this thread I learnt, no loyalty in E-hailing na the one wey pay you you go do, last last, dey fit block you out anytime.

God bless ur hustle.

Jamie90:
I just started this hustle on November. I never witnessed something like this. Is this how random months are?

6'3 o boy🙄 na why you be Joao Pedro😅

It's definitely the sitting position.

May God bless our hustle, not easy to be a man.

JoaoPedro:
Good morning bro. I drive 4 times a week, 7am to 5pm. I’m stand at 6’3 so my height is definitely a contributing factor. Also it gets worst for me when I carry 2 people at the back seat which will then require me to move my seat forward. I intend working only weekends now and I saw a tip on stepping out of the car while waiting for Ty passengers to come, I’ll be trying that.

Look at the phone number, it's still foreign 😂

You are right. These apps may continue like this until an indigenous company come take over. One is Abuja is warming up. See picture

Sitting position matters a lot.

I don't know how to explain sha.
Also as we dey do this work, make we dey use Jedi.

Excess sugar in the body will likely store in any part of the body that is stationed in a particular position for a long time. Accumulation of that go result to pain.

JoaoPedro:
I’ve also decided to also work fridays-Sundays. Like it’s over 2 weeks since I last got behind the wheels but my ankle is still tender to touch. Abeg o

Many people didn't just notice.
Indrive have been charging 12.3% since December.
Una no just notice because December na ocean of surge😂😂

Glithronix:
Yeah, somehow still fair.
But the root of the push in their commission is the Nigerian government which many people won't appreciate.
It's still fair - it's still fair, na so e go dey climb up small small till it gets to 20%. angry
If Nigerian government no come up with their yéyé tax, indrive will still keep their commission below 11%.
The implication of the recent increase is that they will still push it up more. It's not even about the 12.3%, cos it's not really much and "indrive may still not increase their base fare with significant %".
Na my issue gangan be that.

Much respect, boss.
BusinessRe: If You Are Uber Partner In Lagos, Please Share Your Experience Here by Vela01: 11:19am On Jan 02
From what I'm seeing here, that's around 12.3% na.

Or is there any ther charge that's not displayed here?

If that's the case, they're still fair.

Since you brought in AJ's case.

Please, how long did it take the Spanish first responders to get to the crash scene of popular Liverpool footballer (Diogo Joto)

It was eye withnesses who tried for over 30mins as report said.

You know why? It happened in a rural area, it'll definitely take time to get there. Same as AJ. These things happen everywhere.

If you don't mind revealing Identity ,make I give you link to my Facebook page make you see who you're talking to. You may have read about all the countries you're mentioning, but I have been there.

Trust me, if you know what it means to be a billionaire in Naira, that ignorant statement will die in your head, let alone posting in public.

When you choose to be arrogant, you no go know when you dey talk foolishly.

You'll rather live paycheck to paycheck in Switzerland than be a billionaire in Nigeria.

If people do not agree with your opinion, it's problem. You said many of them no get sense because they prefer or have a different belief from yours.

From your comment, between you and the people you're insulting, who's the foolish one now? Perhaps, you don't know what it means to be a billionaire 😂😂

Let me start from just learning to drive.
Although, I always advise that people drive for a while before driving others.

However, if you're really committed, you can make it happen because everyone started one day.
But be really ready because Lagos will stress your mental health. If you go through the thread, you will see what we that have been in the business for years go through in Lagos.

Also, I always advise every man to know how to drive, it's very important, either for personal purpose or to work, as a man, you just have to be able to drive, so YES, please go and learn how to drive first.

Process your driver's license, and work on getting a car.

After all these, come back here for tips on how and where to start from a newbie's, I'm sure you'll get tips to get started.

Good luck🙏🙏

TeamLeader:
Good day to the thread.

I great everyone. I stumbled on the thread yesterday really. Please I need help/advice. I have a business that's I'm doing but I plan to enter Uber business as a side hustle from January because my current business is online but here are my concerns please;

1. I never sabi drive. I just want to learn how to drive by January probably through Lagos state government.
2. I plan to raise 2m then hope to get a good car for the business on instalment. My plan is to use the proceed on my online business and the Uber business to pay up the balance of the car. Can this even work?

So please

Can a first timer in driving like me jump into Uber business? I know even sabi lagos roads sef.
How convenient is the business going to be for me as a first timer?
What should I expects or what must I do as a jjc?
Will I succeed or make i kuku carry my 2m go do another hustle?

Please someone should clear me abeg. Thank you

I'll keep following the thread

First, learn to make comments without insulting people, that is one thing we must learn on this thread, don't show arrogance in your comment.
I could have bottled what happened to me without posting it here. But I brought it here to save others. Stop making people look like a fool when then fall into traps.

If you're conversant with that road, first, it was Map that led us to the one way and there was police as the entrance of the supposed ones way who checked the car and also searched the passanger. The funny thing i had Early passed the same place 3 times before the extorted.

But anyway, make everyone Sha learn from other's ordeal. But please, make your comment without insulting people..

Kumuyiii:
Pls keep sentiments aside, when they officially partially opened it for Christmas, common sense suppose telll people say, this one don pass normal way wey we dey do b4.... There's no traffic, more people now, it's not a normal street road, this is a highway, wey people dey speed, everybody suppose dey dia lane without being told.... What you people should be complaining about is the lack of critical uturns, no be one way. That's a dangerously silly complain.

I swear, very huge cash out. and they'll continue to cash out till they finally finish the road. The country is really messed up.

Who no enter go think say he's wise and be running mouth like tap arrogantly.

Nelochukwu:
Sorry bro. Na Nigeria way be that. Always looking for ways to exploit. A road that has no designation, no signage, a road that hasn't been completed and which anyhowness(aided by security forces themselves) has been from beginning of the opening of d road. Then suddenly they start enforcing nonsense close to festive season.

No be small cash out then do ooo

Only God knows who trained this bigot

Pearl1910:
U don't need a sign post to tell u that u are driving one-way on a dual carriage way. The last time I went to that Elegushi beach, I had to go and turn at a very far point to come back. Going back to VI too was same thing. People were passing one-way but I refused. Instead of passing one-way, I rather stay away from that axis and since then I haven't gone to that place again. For two years I have gone to Elegushi beach only twice.
*If u put yourself in a situation to be extorted, u shouldn't complain when the chickens come home to roost.*

I swear, and it was the map that led everyone there because it's where we have been passing for a long time.

Unfortunately, they'll keep extorting because to turn at the beach, you have to get to VI to turn.
But me I don cancel taking trips to that beach Sha until the road is fully completed

dmangodwin:
Lagos life ,he no concern me. The day he go concern you na only you go face am.

If na police, 10k fit solve am, but na police and Lastma dey do the operation.

We were about 20 that they caught on Tuesday, the 3 guys that drag with them and caused scene, they wrote ticket for them. By 8 am, towing vehicle came from Alausa to tow their cars.

Some bailed themselves that midnight with more than what I paid.
But we that stayed late till afternoon before they even considered our 30k. It was a day to Christmas, thank God I've made some good money before the incidence. After the release, I just picked mainland trip dey go home for Christmas 😃

Guys abeg who knows about this issue.

My car oil light is always blinking when I'm in traffic, if I disengage the gear i.e put in neutral or park, the light will go off.

But once I'm static with the gear gear in drive, the like will come on and be blinking.

Anyone familiar with this?

Civilized comment.
The arrogant boy should learn.

Obedibombedi:
Every day before setting out, we pray to the heavens to lead us not into temptation.

I'm not going to blame any party, but all I can say is , a experienced driver won't let his hand bitten by a rabid rider and still get blocked by indrive.

There are several ways to deal with mentally unstable riders; one of which is to let sleeping dogs lie.

There's nothing a rider will do to provoke me.

We should understand that we have a lot to loose because these app companies are more interested in who pays the piper (riders).

Negro, I'll advice you look for an alternative, because Indrive "won't" unblock that account because there's an assault involved.

The fares are frustrating these riders and we should be empathetic somewhat.

I don't tolerate nonsense and if you ask me how I would have reacted; The moment she cancelled the ride, I'll ask her out of my vehicle immediately.

I didn't say he's wrong, but there's timing issues with him and wrong tone.

All the truth in that comment is overshadowed by arrogance.

If he no take that correction, he has no credibility to correct someone else.

Dabadwela:

Avoid wahala in this business as much as possible. There is already a stereotype shit on our head already doing a "menial" work from some passengers and dey will want to look for way to express their myopic mindset.
