Webmasters / Payoneer Now Allow Nigerians Receive Payment Directly To Bank Acount by Vendoor(f): 4:05pm On Oct 10, 2017 |
I just open another Payoneer account today to find the Withdraw to bank option. I'm kind of surprise cos this option is yet to appear in my older payoneer account; 1. I will like to know if anyone here has received payment recently via bank account. 2. Do payoneer still issue prepaid master card? As no information of mailing one as been sent to me since opening my account. I seriously need your contributions Thanks |

Celebrities / See Why Funke Akindele Sacked Juliana ‘toyo Baby’ Olayode From ‘jenifa’s Diary’ by Vendoor(f): 4:45am On May 03, 2017 |
For the best of Nigeria Entertainment News Visit: http://gistbell.com There were rumors that Funke Akindele and Juliana Olayode, who plays Toyo Baby on Jenifa’s Diary, have parted ways. According to TNS, Funke Akindele cut off Toyo Baby from the widely watched TV series over what the latter termed ‘bad pay’. A source disclosed that Olayode and Funke parted ways after the former requested from a pay rise from Funke who felt that she’s an ingrate considering the fact that Olayode rose to stardom through her appearance on the widely-watched show. More sources close to SceneOneProductions, producers of Jenifa’s Diary, further revealed to TNS that the producer of the show, Funke Akinkele via her production manager and younger sister – Abimbola – pays actors between N3,000 and N150,000 (per episode/season of the show) depending on the role. An actress who spoke to TNS under the condition of anonymity via text message narrated how she was paid what she termed ‘peanuts’ by Akindele’s team after being part of an all-night party scene on Jenifa’s Diary. According to her, ‘I GOT A TEXT MESSAGE FROM SCENEONE PRODUCTIONS THAT I HAD BEEN SELECTED TO ACT ON JENIFA’S DIARY AND I WILL BE PART OF A PARTY SCENE. I WAS SO EXCITED THAT I TOLD MY ENTIRE FAMILY ABOUT IT. MIND YOU, IT WASN’T MY 1ST TIME ACTING BUT D FEELING OF BEING ON JENIFA’S DIARY WAS A BIG DEAL FOR ME. I WAS ASKED TO COME WITH 5 DIFFERENT PARTY COSTUMES. LOCATION WAS AMEN ESTATE, ELEKO. AFTER FILMING WITH OVER 30 GIRLS THE WHOLE NIGHT, FUNKE CAME TO ADDRESS US AND ADVICE THAT MONEY SHOULDN’T BE OUR PRIORITIES AT THIS STAGE; THAT WAS WHEN IT OCCURRED TO ME THAT SOMETHING AWKWARD WAS ABOUT TO HAPPEN….JUST THEN, THE PRODUCTION MANAGER, MR OSMOND WHISPERED SOMETHING TO FUNKE’S SISTER, ABIMBOLA & SHE STARTED PAYING US EACH 3K. CAN U IMAGINE?, 3K FOR ALL NIGHT SHOOT!…ON JENIFA’S DIARY!… I WAS SO MAD, SOME OF US HAD TO TURN DOWN THE MONEY SHAA….COULDN’T FACE MY MOM TO EXPLAIN TO HER WAT HAPPENED THE NEXT MORNING.’ Findings suggest that actors Lota Chukwu, Omotunde Lolo 1, Falz D Bahd Guy (who has also left the show) and Olayode are the highest paid actors who take home 150k per season. Stars like Tiwa Savage, Toke Makinwa and others who have had cameo appearances on the show reportedly got between 100k and 300k for ‘showing face’. Funke and Juliana have since unfollowed each other on their social media accounts. Source: http://www.gistbell.com/2017/05/see-how-funke-akindele-sacked-juliana.html

Politics / IMF Says Nigeria Economy Needs Urgent Reform, No FX Curbs - REUTERS by Vendoor(f): 3:36pm On Apr 05, 2017 |
ABUJA, April 5 (Reuters) - The International Monetary Fund (IMF) warned Nigeria its economy needs urgent reform in a report published on Wednesday that highlighted the risks to growth for the recession-hit country and the dangers of a volatile foreign exchange market. The document, a report from IMF staff which Reuters saw an earlier version of last month, outlines a raft of failings in Nigeria's handling of Africa's largest economy and could affect talks over at least $1.4 billion in international loans. It strikes a more critical tone than the Fund's board adopted in a statement last week, though that also said Nigeria should lift its remaining foreign exchange restrictions and scrap its system of multiple exchange rates. Nigeria fell into recession in 2016, its first in 25 years, largely due to the impact of low oil prices and militant attacks on energy facilities in the Niger Delta oil hub. Crude sales account for more than 90 percent of foreign exchange earnings and two-thirds of government revenue. The country, whose economy contracted 1.5 percent last year, has also been plagued by a conflict with Boko Haram militants since 2009, creating a humanitarian crisis in the northeast which authorities are struggling to handle. The Washington-based fund's analysis came on the same day that Nigeria's President Muhammadu Buhari held a launch ceremony for a flagship economic recovery plan. But the IMF said the plan, criticised by economists for including few concrete measures, is not enough to drag Africa's biggest economy out of recession. If Nigeria's economy is to recover, "much more needs to be done", the IMF said in the staff report. It also urged the major oil producer to introduce immediate changes to its exchange rate policy - characterised by central bank curbs, multiple exchange rates and an artificially high naira valuation - or risk "a disorderly exchange rate depreciation". The presidency, budget and planning ministry, finance ministry and central bank did not immediately respond to requests for comment. The Fund said the Nigerian authorities were concerned about the IMF staff report's view. Nigerian authorities had said further measures were under way which included the implementation of a more flexible foreign exchange market and "maintaining tight monetary policy to underpin price stability", according to the IMF report. Nigeria has not asked the Fund for fiscal support but its recommendations may influence institutional lenders ahead of the annual spring meetings with the World Bank. The World Bank has been in talks with Nigeria for more than a year over an application for a loan of at least $1 billion and the African Development Bank has $400 million on offer. But talks have stalled over economic reforms.
