Politics / Re: DSS Quizzes Sheikh Auwal Shariff For Criticizing Tinubu Over Hardship by VERDA: 12:25pm On Feb 13
shortgun:
The awakening taking place in Northern Nigeria is heart warming. Tinubu has succeeded in uniting the northern Christians and Muslims with bad Governance and mismanagement of the economy, they have now realised that bad leadership affects everyone irrespective of their faith.
Gone are the days when Northerners are deceived in the name of religion by their religious and political leaders and told to support candidates on religious grounds. Northern Muslims have become increasingly vocal about elections not being an Islamic principle but a manipulative concept that keeps them impoverished.

I understand your point and all but it seems to me that this awakening is happening because the president is from another region....buhari was there for 8 years, initiating and deepening this catastrophe and most northerners, especially those of his tribe and faith seemed blind, and refused to be united with others...

All of a sudden someone from another region is there and everyone is making noise as if the catastrophe just started...

That being said, Tinubu is destroying a lot of lives with these harsh policies without any means to cushon its effects.

Did you observe the hypocritical gentle of Aisha while criticizing Otti here? Did observe the hypocritical niceties of PO when talking about 160m cars collected by LP lawmakers? It's ok for anyone to criticize bad policies of govt irrespective of party whether you vote for them or not. The next thing after elections is everyone to keep govt on its toes

And by the way, there is a difference between APC supporters wailing from hunger as a result of government failure and critisism so rest.

Alaye shift, the amount spent on vehicle is vastly criticised by even APC supporters. No body supports corrupt leaders. What we are only saying is that we had thought LP would be different but here we are! They are also the same. So it's not about criticism. It's about the difference obidients boasted their government would bring but it's obvious obidients have been scammed and lied to. It's reason I stopped believing in the fraud Obi after seeing what Anambra people said about him back in 2012. I'm also quite sure a good portion of that money is going to Obi's pocket.

Baba, even if the votes had a majority of 14 out of 15, nobody has the right to invade Niger republic to reinstate a deposed government. Why else do you think is the reason the US is being very careful and sceptical about encouraging the idea of an invasion? Because it is wrong and that singular is capable of triggering consequences beyond the shores of Africa.

Diplomacy is the only option. And it has to be done with maximal respect for the will of the people of Niger republic. No one is happy about the happenings in that country, but two wrongs never amount to a positive outcome. It's only in mathematics you can have two minuses giving you a plus.

I totally agree that diplomacy is the way forward, we do not need another libya situation and instability in west Africa. We are dealing too much as it is.

These Ecowas countries must think themselves to be lords over Western Africa. It's the audacity with which they're trying to make decisions for a sovereign country, that has me in stitches.

I may not be fully in support of the military operation, but why are some people making it look like this is the first time this kind of thing is happening?? Ecowas did the same in Sierra Leone way back in 1998 and it succeeded within days. During Buhari's tenure, they did the same when the then-president of Gambia lost election and he refused to vacate office. His soldiers refused to fight and ECOWAS forces didn't have to fight at the end, etc.

Liberia does not share borders in 7 states with Nigeria... In Zambia, both the military and citizens were against the then president, this is not the case with Niger.

Yes I know this and I asked you buffons to state the Russian position on this latest coup.

I have been the only one saying it here that the coup in Niger is a ruse and has the full backing of the US so as to frustrate the Russian -African resolution reached in the last summit held in Moscow but you odes were frothing in the mouth claiming Russia will side the junta.

If anything , Nigeria restoring the democratic leadership in Naimey goes contrary to Washington's objectives.

Mumu

Lol...first of, what russia or US wants is non of my business, my own is Tinubu and his stupid supporters like you should not push Nigeria into a foolish war just to flex ego...

Unlike silly cretins like you who are probably living off their parents and have never left their little enclaves, some us have to work and do business across regions and want stability, i do business in Kamba in Kebi state which shares border with Niger, and currently a few kilometers from Niger. But i am sure its only lagos and ogbomosho you know.

To you ignorant position on international politics, france which virtually controls Nigers resources with the help of other western powers like the US want the president restored and willing to push west Africa into war so they can maintain control.

Russia on the other hand is trying to replace the western influence in Africa hence their support for anything against the west like whats happening in Niger, its all about fight for resources.

Wetin happen ?

No be same northern senators Una dey hail yesterday for refusing to sanction military action against the Niger junta ?

You guys should be sensible for your once...

1) It is actually possible for an individual or institution to be praised for one thing and criticised over another.

2) Every sensible person knows military takeover in a democracy should be resisted .

3) Tinubu wanting to go to war with a soveriign
country to restore a toppled government is not what any sensible Nigerian should be happy about because wars that destabilises whole regions and involving multiple nations on both sides are usually castastrophic...

4) For some reason most Tinubu supporters seem to love Niger's democracy more than Nigeriens that have been jubilating over the take over.

5) You guys also seem to be smarter than northern senators who understand that going to war with a country whoose population support their military in the guise that ur helping them is a very risky and almost foolish reason for that war.

They share landborders and spillovers will throw their populace into more poverty, yet foolish people like you, who are most likely in the south are pushing for war.

6) Tinubu and Ecowas should use diplomacy.....
Research the causes of these coups and work
on them, even though we all know the root
causes....

Put in place preventive measures for future
occurences which may include kinetic one like
an ECOWAS strike force or unit that can strike
within the first 24 hours of a coup to ensure its
not succesful as we all know chances of a
reversal after 24 hours is almost non existent.

7) In cases where military action is neccessary, at least 60% of their population should be in support of your so called help to them.

You cannot claim to be helping a people who dont want ur help... so all these Tinubu lovers of war should rest.
