I cant imagine Peter Obi buying a presidential yatch, renovating abandoned presidential palace in Lagos or buying luxurious cars for his wife's office which is not recognized by the constitution at any time, let alone when subsidy has been removed n the masses suffering hyperinflation.
Next time as you go to vote for a president, look for one that has the sense of empathy for the people.

Why are some of you acting surprised?. What is it about Tinubu that could possibly surprise anyone?.

Buckle up people, it's about to get real rough with your lives in Nigeria. A new super rich class are being created as we speak.

This man do not care about any one of you but himself and his family.

Unfortunately, it is the rest of you, whose pauperized economic misfortunes will finance these neo rich who will in return, form the basis of Tinubu's fleecing empire. They call it, the structure.

It is starting, right under your nostrils.

I support Tinubu but can’t support nor defend him on this yacht nonsense. It is very insensitive at this time. Even if Ghana or Togo has it, we don’t have to copy everything. If it had been proposed and initiated by previous governments as I have read somewhere, let him stop it forthwith.
Very good example. Those are countries with good navigable NETWORK of water ways (rivers, streams and ocean). The president of this countries especially, Egypt, Finland and Italy, can very possible use the hatch for 20% of their traveling around their country.
But here in Nigeria, we barely use boats to travel from one community to another community in the same city. In all of our presidents stay in office, he might not use boats 2 times. This is were logic and personality comes in.
It’s greed and disjointed priority and insensitivity that will make a government purchase something it won’t use with such stupendous amount of money in this very critical time of our existence. It shows gross lack of leadership on the part of our government

So much anger on this thread. The problem is that its coming too late.

The time to drop the bomb was earlier this year when BAT was scheming to get in and do what he is doing now. That was when Nigerians should have made a very clear statement to the APC. Hell, Nigerians should have made a very clear statement after the first 4 years of Buhari's misrule. Did we? No we didn't.

We are stuck with BAT for now.
Re: What Is A Presidential Yacht? Countries With Presidential Yachts by DeShineShine(m): 10:32am On Nov 02, 2023
FG should please forget about Presidential Yacht and use the proposed budget for something more meaningful for the citizens. Nigerians are hungry and we are talking of Presidential Yacht, Mr. President should please use his power to stop that with immediate effect because it is not ideal for the present economy. The Yacht can be bought later when the country is out of the present financial mess. FG is requesting for another foreign loan of $7.5 billion and Euro100 million, please Mr. President should remember that Nigerians are presently in a mess of transportation, feeding and astronomical increase in cost of living. He should remember that most of us that are supporting him expect him to lift Nigeria from collapse and not to add to her challenges. No to Presidential Yacht!
