Has Nigerian Christians ever been this active towards election?
Despite complaining about Tinubu's choice, have you heard any of them talking about how Tinubu will win if he chooses a Christian VP? No, the focus is just on why not a Christian VP? Unfortunately that is not how politics works, you have to do your proper calculation and position yourself to win, it is base of facts not emotional judgement. Tambuwal stepped down for Atiku not because he hate his friend, Wike but because he felt as a party, they stand a better chance with Atiku than Wike and any politically informed and unbiased Nigerian know very well that is true.
So for me, it was just as Fayemi has put it, it is more of a political calculation than any other thing.

At least Fayemi has decided to speak the truth that it was about political calculation and not about competence...because Tinubu was pushing competence as the reason which further angered the northern Christians....for some reason I have noticed northern Christians are very apprehensive when issues of Muslim/Muslim is brought up.

We also need to understand why the northern Christians especially are angry, the reason of strategic political calculation is you indirectly telling them they have no chance ever of standing for either the presidency or vice presidency, a lot of people are very shallow minded and do not understand the implications of this.

Understanding this is the key to trying to allay certain fears as opposed to the very flawed and condescending argument that...it is only competence that matters as if there are no competent northern Christians or that religion should not be a factor in choosing leadership when religion was the parameter for choosing Tinubu's vice president.

There will be no law broken if there was cooperation in house, both in APC and in Ebonyi as a whole. The APC claimed that they did another primary in which Umahi is said to have won. This woman is not likely to win the senatorial election, and even if she wins, is not likely to have any influence in the Senate. This is someone that lost to "place holder" already oh.

Let's be honest please....there is nothing like placeholder for elective positions, that is why both the current senate President and Akpabio of Akwa ibom lost out of the race, the law clearly states, you cannot vie for two elective positions and if INEC did not witness you present at the primaries your not going anywhere, if we can't follow the law in choosing our elected officers I wonder what we are doing as a country.
