funshint:This talk does not make sense, when problem starts now, it's you guys that will start speaking plenty English about enlightenment...don't start problem, Una no go hear. |
PassingShot:Sometimes you guys forget you need to have a country first before winning elections, the same silly mistakes that was made as a country that has led to so much religious and ethnic mistrust and it's attendant consequences is the same mistake some of you are pushing for in the name of winning elections ... You do not decide to marginalize a whole group of people claiming to be more enlightened than everybody and wonder why we have agitations everywhere... When people talk, some people bring up funny arguments like the US, as if the US is as diverse as Nigeria, the overwhelming majority are whites, the overwhelming majority also subscribe to the Judeo-Christian believes. |
Fuckyoumod:I don't think there is a difference between you and the Yoruba people you are insulting... You claim they betrayed the south and voted a northerner, and you have decided to also betray a southerner and vote a northerner to spite yoruba people in your words... The north really get Una mumu button....in the end, all of Una na the same... Obi would never have won the PDP primaries so I am wondering what basis ur criticising his leaving PDP, he would have never been president there too!! |
seborrhic:You said when you are served a valid arrest or search warrant, the EFCC had none of that, nobody holds brief for Okorocha but this is shameless, if they are that powerful as an institution, what stops them from getting a valid warrant... |
Lamasta:They are trying to educate you so you do the needful and prevent any stories in the future and you keep asking funny questions, when something bad happens, you guys start looking for who to blame. |
Ologundudu2020:Nope, violent protest will lead to more loss of lives...now why exactly will anyone want that or is it a religious war you want... For now the main suspects are in custody, how the case is handled could permit a more harsh approach |
wis3:Yea...so let's go killing everybody that says something bad about our religion, very demented set of human beings, this is about being a decent human being, what happened to handling the matter in a civilized manner...what do I know, let's keep making excuses for barbaric behaviours yet they continue to worship the politicians that have kept them poor. |
DonBenny77:Funny how you guys think beating a 22 or 25 year old, will stop her from sleeping around in the university, for Christ sake that's around the age they find the man that they might get married to... If you guys could not train them well between the ages of 3 to 16 years, you think it's at 22 or 25 years you can do anything... |
slimfit1:I have no doubt in my mind that the government can never really be truly trusted and thus also sabotage peaceful gatherings... But I do not know about IPOB being a completely peaceful organization or maybe I should say some elements among them are radical... We all know their leader who is now in the DSS custody threatened fire and brimstone and encouraged followers to cause destruction... The other one in Finland in now doing the same, you see people rejoicing over killings of their own people in the name of achieving an aim... No external force can truly destroy your home town if overtly or covertly you or some elements amongs you don't encourage them, so I don't really buy the whole it is government and not IPOB story. Whether or not that is true, they prepared the ground running for certain things to go wrong and the south east is being destroyed cause of a few people's selfishness... I grew up in the south east and can attest to the fact that most of them are peaceful, spent over 10 years in the west...currently live and do business in the north and I travel a lot, been to almost all the northern states... Most ordinary citizens all over just want a life of peace, an opportunity to thrive and survive, but injustice, poverty and ignorance has made the minds of the youth a fertile ground for manipulation by anyone who is relatively smart and ethnicity and religion are what they use. |
slimfit1:The same way governors in the north who dialogued with bandits brought peace right? |
Africonji:Don't stop please...you guys should burn the whole south east down...your heading closer to Maiduguri and Zamfara gradually...ur boys are doing a very good job...FG is kukuma just doing Sidon look, while you impoverish ur people. |
Cyntie55:It does not make sense to say you do not support Russia or Ukraine in one breath then turn around to say let's say no to war... Saying no to war means saying no to whoever started the war and we all know who that is...wether Or not Ukraine contributed to it like you stated. |
helinues:Imagine what your typing, comparing the US to Nigeria... Buhari has done marvelously well, the terrrible light situation has gone worse in the US... There is so much scarcity of fuel that cars line up to buy and prices have risen crazily to as much as 450 naira in some parts of the US Flight prices have almost gone up twice its original price in the US Bandits have ravaged villages and prevented children from going to school in the US... The price of the most consumed food has gone up more than 5 times in the US... I understand that some people may criticize out of spite for this government even though most of what they say is actually true... But for some people to make general and blanket silly comparisons like this baffles me, as if to say outside the price increase, Nigeria and the US are on the same level. |
Saint1960:This is a very stupid statement to make about a whole tribe, I don't know how you guys reason. |
pquaver:What are you even saying...I just made an observation, I am not dragging political position with you abeg, always ready to attack, carry ur wahala and be going... |
omenkaLives:I don't hold any brief for Wike, cos of his bullying tendencies, but statements like " Edo no be Waterlines" are uncalled for....when they were been humiliated in APC, it was the same Wike that spearheaded their acceptance into PDP... |
Zonefree:The woman is a disgrace to have done what she did but please let's get our facts right, the man traveled out, rent expired and the story mentioned nothing about what the man did, she was stranded outside yet nothing, another man decided to take her in yet nothing, she saved, moved out and decided to end it and yet nothing about the man... So please don't sit there and type what I don't know as if the man was taking care of his home and she stepped out. |
lexy2014:Go back and read again, if still you feel the answer to ur question is not there somewhere, then it's your problem. |
lexy2014:I will let you answer the first question about it being the worst crisis in europe urself, apperently the Europeans saying it don't have sense, anybody seeing what is going on need not ask that question.... As to ur second question about the UK/US and NATO, what I will say is, it's crazy how we always seem to justify a wrong by claiming the other party did it in the past too, Mr A killed 20 people yesterday so I can also kill people cos Mr A did it, and we wonder why the world is the way it is, crazily for some reason the people in Ukraine that are dying can keep dying, after all the US/UK have done it before... Russia can keep doing what it is doing, it should also stop whining about the consequences and stop threatening everybody with nuclear war as if it will be insulated from it... It is basically Russia against most of the world, it will be very naive of you to think China which is the only major power sitting on the sidelines for now will back Russia into taking the world backwards because it does not want Ukraine to join NATO. Because most people that seem to support Russia keep saying stuff like China will step in, do this or that...forgetting that the US and EU are China's first and second biggest trading partners by volume respectively and that China with all its talk is actually a very smart country and will not plunge it's country into crisis to support a country whose contribution to it's economy is far far below the contribution of the other side. |
Emmajn1:I honestly don't understand the rationale behind this thinking...I might not be the biggest fan of the west but I don't understand how you guys don't realize there are always consequences to certain actions... You wake up one day and seize a country's territory, because your angry its citizens brought a government sympathetic to you down, as if that was not enough you supported a region of the country to pick up arms against it... You decided to accept them as a country being the only nation to do that just to spite the country you claim to be fighting... You declare war on the country and start bombarding it left right centre leading to the worst humanitarian crises in Europe since world war 2 and for some reason expect there would not be consequences wether you are right or not... I really do not understand the rational behind this thinking, I get you Love Russia and all but be objective for Christ sake... |
olugabbie:Well...I think they are more concerned with the prosperity of their country and their citizens and not interested in becoming no 1 world power... China and Russia on the other hand want to become the no 1 world power or maybe together displace the US, whichever way you look at it. Most of these countries you mentioned are more prosperous than the US if you look at the average wealth of its citizens, they compete in areas that matter to their citizens like providing enabling environments for their citizens to be prosperous and pushing out superior products. |
olugabbie:No one is attaching emotions to anything, your whole writeup was as a result of the ongoing debate about the Russian/Ukraine war... And about the world been unipolar, like I stated earlier, nobody is stopping others from not advancing, the world is not fair, and those with the greatest technology and prosperity wield the greatest power, and will exercise it to their advantage always... |
StPete:It should be the goal of every county to be self sufficient, but I have a feeling we misunderstand what being self sufficient is? No country can do without the outside world, the China you use as an example has US as it's biggest trading partner... In business you grow when people buy your product, you can never be bigger than a country whose market is the whole world if your market is just the shores of your country, ask North Korea... Even China understands this which is why they have not come out to outrightly support Putin, they are staying neutral... The US and European Union are their first and second biggest trading partners respectively and any disruption will affect business at home, slow growth, decrease opportunities for job creation, leading to unemployment, poverty, civil unrest...that is how it goes... My point, no country can be self sufficient, if what you mean is been isolated from the outside world. |
rufflychux:No be only breakaway, is anybody stopping others from technological advancement? |
olugabbie:So this is not about what is right or wrong for you but about the bad decisions the US made in the past?... So in your mind because US made bad decisions in the past, Russia has the right to start a war that may kill millions? And should not be called to order? Sometimes I wonder if we are moving forward as a human race, it is thinking like this that slows down progress...it's just like saying that if some retards in the north killed some easterners in their domain some time ago however wrong they might have been, it is ok for some retards in the east to also kill innocent northerners in their region too, after all, the northerners killed easterners first... May God help us |
kingthreat:Iran and north Korea doing well lol, you must have another definition of doing well...And just so you know, America is China's biggest trading partner so I really don't understand where your getting your own facts from... Read more. |
SarkinYarki:I get your point and all....but bro, this is not a falling out, this is a country declaring war on another country and the situation is so dicey if not handled well might lead to a world war... Putin threatened the possibility of going nuclear, so again, this is not a simple falling out... Lastly when as a leader you decide to take a decision that puts you against a huge portion of the world, you should think about your citizens, my point is apple did not just wake up to take that decision, we must be ready for consequences of our actions even on those who played no role in deciding them, that is why citizens must hold their leaders to account because often times, they suffer the consequence of their actions. |
SarkinYarki:You are very wrong on this one bro, majority of the world are against Russia on this, apart from China and a few other small countries... By the way, who exactly will dump American technology, is it Europe or other Western countries that have imposed more sanctions on Russia, or former Soviet countries like Poland who are russias neighbor and also imposing sanctions on them or Asian countries with the best technology like Japan or south Korea who are western Allies or China who despite heavy trade wars in the trump administration and sanctions on their major tech company Huawei still heavily patronises US technology... Abi is it Africa?? My point is it takes a lot to achieve certain technological advancements, no sane government will cut their country off advanced technology from the west cos of sentiments like this, they will only keep retrogressing until like you stated..." They come up with superior tech" |
DropsMic:What makes you think you can Love whom you do not know?... |
flokii:Trying to understand please, did these Igbo's kill and chase all the yoruba's in the market or they grew in business and the others could not compete??, I hear the ladipo market is a mechanical and spare parts business market and that seems to be their areas of great competence across the country... Let's be smart in decision taking, it's thinking like this that brought countries like Zimbabwe down....the "take from foreigners and give to locals syndrome" even when the foreigners are more competent in said area... I doubt the Igbo's can claim they own Lagos as everybody knows it's a Yoruba domain, leave all the arrogance from a few of them as I have observed above as everybody knows the facts... In business it is competence that matters and not tribal sentiments...that is what builds nations and will continue to till thy kingdom come... It's the whole chase foreigners out wether hiding under tribal or religious sentiments that has decimated Zamfara and bornu states. |
Kobojunkie:I think this is a wrong advice, asking the brother inlaw to pay will further give him grounds to insult and disrespect the OP more, if what he is talking about is true because the brother will feel entitled, after all na me and you dey pay bills... It's his house for Christ sake and he should be the man of the house, if the brother in-law has decided to start disrespecting him for no reason, then kick him out...let him go and be a man in his own house... I am skeptical about the OP's story though, you can't claim to have that kind of money and ur still been insulted in your own house, it's one thing for the wife to be like that, but not the inlaw |
MrBrownJay1:You need to really stop being hypocritical and trying to be smart by quoting the Bible out of context... Every institution has rules that guide their operations and structures to make sure operations move smoothly... You cannot go to an institution and want them to change all their rules for you, that is why there are options, if place A does not suit you, go to a place that suites you, this is a democracy and they have a right to stick to their principles... So stop this nonsense moral angle ur bringing to the whole issue... We push arguments like urs that seem to lower standards for the sake of misguided moral angles and wonder why Nigeria keeps retrogressing. |
