Career / Re: 5 College Staff Die In Abia Over Salary Arrears by verde: 7:36am On May 05, 2018
Even the staff of the ABIA STATE UNIVERSITY TEACHING HOSPITAL (ABSUTH), are also groaning over 8 months unpaid salary, in adequate staff strength and poor working conditions. Patients buy every thing including gloves for their treatment.

IKPEAZU IS THE WORST THING THAT HAS HAPPENED TO ABIA. FIRST HE WAS NOT DULLY ELECTED, BUT STOLE THE MANDATE WHICH ABIANS WILLINGLY GAVE DR ALEX OTTI. AT PRESENT, HE IS OWING MEDICAL PERSON-ALES IN THE STATE OVER 7 MONTHS SALARY ARREARS, TEACHERS OVER 8 MONTHS, PENSIONERS OVER 24 MONTHS ARREARS. HE HAS RECEIVED OVER #100 BILLION SINCE HE STOLE ABIA GOVERNORSHIP MANDATE. ABIAS ARE WATCHING WHAT HE WILL DO WITH THE JUST RELEASED BAIL-OUT BILLIONS THAT WAS GIVING TO THE STATE BY PMB.
CHRISTMAS CELEBRATION IS NOT FOR CIVIL SERVANTS IN ABIA AS HE HAS REFUSED TO PAY THEM.
ABIA NEEDS HELP!!! PLEASE COME TO ABIA AND SEE, FORGET WHAT YOU SEE ON SOCIAL MEDIA. ABIANS ARE SUFFERING BAD ROADS AND BAD GOVERNANCE.
Crime / Re: Civil Servant Commits Suicide In Abia Over Unpaid Salaries by verde: 8:00pm On May 10, 2016
I was not surprise to observe that the man in question was an Abia civil servant. Civil servants in that state are being owed to the tune of 5momths salary and nobody is saying anything about it even in this harsh economic weather in Nigeria. Can you imagine that those on essential duties are not exempted. For instance health workers at the HMB and the only state owned teaching hospital are being owed to the tune of 5 months. I want to believe there is a sitting Governor in that state. When will good news start emanating from that state? That State needs a change.

Nairaland / General / Re: Osun Workers Resume Strike After Seven Weeks Strike by verde: 5:39am On Jul 15, 2015
US AT THE ABIA STATE UNIVERSITY TEACHING HOSPITAL ABA, received our last salary in September last year (10 months arrears). Yet this corrupt administrator probably has collected money and never allowed us to let the world know through this medium. Why are they so interested in Osun workers that are being owed just 6 months arrears. Please, every one should search ''ABSUTH'' on nairaland and get the full gist of how we are suffering in ABSUTH.

Politics / When Will ABSUTH Staff Be Paid? by verde: 6:30am On Jul 12, 2015
It is over 9 months they received their last monthly Salary from Abia State Government (the last was for September 2014). They appreciate all the promises the incumbent Governor has been making towards rebranding Abia, but they have been made to pass through Labrynths of pains to pay their bills after 9 months of unpaid salaries. They look forward to a speedy response from Gov Ikpeazu in off-setting the outstanding salary arrears as they trust him. They thank the action President, Muhammadu Buhari '' The Mandella of Nigeria'' for his bail-out plan for the States. They look forward to a favourable and speedy response in resolving all bottle necks (verification exercises) that may be impinging on the release of the staff statutory salaries. It is only by so doing that they can collectively join in saying ''OKE EZUOLA ABIA''.
Politics / ABSUTH Doctors Groan As Gov Ikpeazu Delays paying Their 9months Salaries by verde: 5:15pm On Jul 06, 2015
Resident Doctors now starve as Gov lkpeazu fails to start paying their outstanding nine months salaries. Ex.Gov Orji starved the institution of fund for 8 months before handing over power. As it stands, health practitioners are yet to receive any salaries since this year as their last Salary was for September, 2014. Ikpeazu has make good his promise by continuing from where his God father ( ex-governor) stopped.

Politics / Re: Pay Our Six Months' Salary, Doctors Tell Aregbesola by verde: 9:59am On May 02, 2015
The Doctors should ask their colleagues at the ABIA STATE UNIERRSITY TEACHING HOSPITAL, (ABSUTH), ABA who are being owed 9 months salary how they are coping. Whether PDP or APC, it is just semantics. Old wine in a fresh bottle. It's been long God left Africa.

It is better l change my citizenship than remain in Abia under PDP administration. I'm very happy l voted Buhari. It least my conscience is very clear; but sincerely, the Governorship election in Abia was a scam. APGA won the election. I just wish God will hear the cries of the poor civil servants that are being owed 9 months salaries and the that of Aba people who have been living in bondage and garbage for 16 years. We need Change!
