I might not know what's really going on within the synagogue, but shutting down Church activities is somehow. Where will committed Church members worship or what will be their hope - as most of members see the synagogue Church as a home and refugee place where they find peace and hope in the Lord. Naturally some women are selfish in nature: But as a man their are lots of stuff you would practically want to do via extended family that should be done without any permission or explanation from spouse. So the additional increment can conveniently sort that out silently.
