Just needed to get this off my chest

I don't dance. I don't like dancing. I'm not a good dancer.

Now that's ok. At least to me. But what pisses me off is assholes who try to force or bully me into dancing. Assholes who assume people that don't dance are non-social, lame, weird etc

I genuinely don't want to dance, I can't dance, don't force me to do something I'm super uncomfortable with, I hate every second of it and find no pleasure in it. Trust me after the 7th time I said I can't dance it's because I can't dance, saying 'oh come on just dance' like I'm supposed to be like 'ah shit yeah why didn't I think of that'. I appreciate some people just think you're holding back and not expressing yourself, but when you don't know how to dance and you can't dance it ruins the night to keep persisting. I'm more than happy to just enjoy the atmosphere, if I could dance I would dance.

Martinez39, MJBOLT, Michellekabod2, IAmSabrina, Hahn, 1Sharon, what do you guys think?

yeah. RDJ should have gotten a nom to be honest. his performance was more moving than 90% of the people who got nominated
but he's not playing a divorcee, a washed up actor/comedian, or a person in a "true story", so fuçk him I guess
In all seriousness, Endgame more or less got as many noms as it deserved. And there were worse snubs than RDJ not getting an acting nom.

I was actually moderately impressed with the teaser but a lot of that is due to my expectations being in the toilet.

Still a 0% chance I pay to see this in theaters but maybe it’ll be a fun Friday night drunk rental.

And BTW LOL @ a certain weeeetle butthurt purple stooge still grumbling in his corner and throwing hissy fits, and pissing in his pants, because he's sooooo damn sure that every Sony movie released between now and 2023 will receive critical and commercial acclaim. Every. Single. Movie. Didn't know we had psychics on these forums cheesy
What I love most is the gusto of Sony just blatantly coasting off of the MCU and trying to be a part of it with their bizarre choices. Venom was a bizarrely antique, simplistic movie, and I feel like this will also be similarly enjoyably bad. It's so dumb it's admirable, they really went there. I love that this somehow exists. LoL

Apparently, Disney may be getting the rights to the Defenders ( Daredevil, Luke Cage, Jessica Jones and Iron Fist) early from Netflix:

Marvel Reportedly Getting The Rights To The Defenders Back In Early 2020

Marvel Could Start Getting Its Netflix Heroes Back This Year

Though apparently, Disney also considering a film with the comic book version of the Defenders:

Defenders: The MCU May Be Assembling the Original Team

What do you guys hope to see from either Defenders team?
If you read the comics, when the Avengers went missing for awhile, the New Avengers popped up. Luke Cage, Iron Fist, Spiderman, Wolverine and Sentry came on the scene to fill in. Can they do this for the MCU? It's very possible. But if they did, they would have to amp up Luke Cage and Iron Fist. The Netflix series made these guys very much street level guys and not being able to stand in for the A team. But I do like that cartoon where they filled in for the Avengers. One of the best ever. But just not feeling the casting for Luke Cage and Iron Fist. Really hoping they recast. Neither one of them have the essence of the heroes. Daredevil and Punisher are perfect though.

Lmao..you see this is exactly what I was arguing with the other dude about...you have finally come out and said the same thing he did undecided

Please can you tell me maybe 4 or 5 of these "big boys" that you think Sony can't compete with?
.
LoL. Not compete in terms of Sony Pictures potentially having the highest grossing film (or even slate) for a particular year, but in terms of the new media landscape of consolidation and scale. A steady stream of prolific success year in and year out that guarantees a healthy market share (even in a "down year".) I'm not speaking about Sony Electronics or SIE, but the Hollywood studio. which produces movies and TV. They are arms dealers, feeders for bigger players.
TV/MoviesRe: Marvel Cinematic Universe by Vic2Ree(m): 8:24pm On Jan 09, 2020
pu7pl3:
Don't just look at it as a CBM fan..they also have fans they cater for especially suckers for original content and this slate means the world to them
Sony (Sony Pictures) is ripe to be purchased by a bigger player. They may be content being arms dealers, but they don't have the finances or IP to scale and compete with the big boys. That's a fact. I'm not saying they can't be successful (profitable) and make great content, they just aren't major players in the new media landscape.
TV/MoviesRe: Marvel Cinematic Universe by Vic2Ree(m): 7:12pm On Jan 09, 2020

Nobody is arguing who is bigger between Disney and Sony (that's another topic) both of you are trying to make it look like Sony has nothing at all and are on the brink of collapse..in his words"Sony doesn't have anything going for them" and that's the narrative I've been trying to debunk on this thread..this point you made has nothing to do with anything
LoL. Bruh I don't think anybody here is dissing Sony's slate. Sabrina and the others are just trying to state that relative to Disney, Sony's film slate is not as exciting. On absolute terms however, Sony's slate is just fine. That's how I understand it

The Miramax library is certainly strong. But I question whether or not its 90s-centric slate would drive viewers to Hulu in sufficient numbers to justify the large expense. It would probably make more sense to invest the hundreds of millions in new potentially bingeable content. And does The Mouse want to be tied to Miramax again after being blamed for funding Weinstein's horrifying behavior during the label's heyday?

I wouldn't be surprised if, within a few years, both Hulu and ESPN Plus are consolidated into the Disney Plus App, joining Disney, Pixar, Marvel, Star Wars and National Geographic as the top brands for the streamer.
Has there been any serious discussion, not just of the Miramax films, but all the great Fox films that Disney now owns but isn't currently streaming?

I have to imagine they'd rather distribute them themselves, on their own platform than turn them over to Hulu in which they only have a partial stake.

The obvious thing would seem to be to make them part of Disney + so that's the one "must have" subscription service that no one can do without, but they clearly seem to be trying to keep that more "family friendly" (though I noticed when I was getting mine set up, their was some question related to age/parental controls, so they could introduce R-Rated movies with parents controlling what their kids can see).

They could split off a whole different platform for the more adult titles, but that would seem to counter their goal of dominance. If people have t pick and choose between subscription services, they could go with competitors. If all the Disney/Fox/Miramax titles are on one platform (even if it's partitioned in some way), that would make that single platform very attractive and competitive with other subscription services.

They MUST have a plan at this point, but has there been any public information or reliable speculation/rumors about that plan?

I just noticed that The Licensing Letter updated the retail sales chart:

This is probably the first time Spider-Man is not #1. In merchandise retail sales, Spidey was the leading superhero character worldwide, beating out the Avengers, Superman & Batman.

2017: 1. Spider-Man, 2. Avengers, 3. Batman.
2016: 1. Spider-Man, 2. Avengers, 3. Batman.
2015: 1. Spider-Man, 2. Avengers, 3. Batman.
2014: 1. Spider-Man...
2013: 1. Spider-Man...

The Avengers, as a group, are pop culture icons right now IMO. Not surprised really. And you can thank IW & Endgame for that

https://geektyrant.com/news/marvels-dracula-is-now-rumored-to-appear-in-disneys-moon-knight-series

Marvel’s upcoming Moon Knight series seems to be shaping up to be a monster fest, which would be awesome! It’s previously been reported that Werewolf by Night, Bushman, and Stained Glass Scarlett might appear in the series as villains. Now, according to Marvel scooper Daniel Richtman, Dracula is set to appear in the series as well.

Dracula, based on Bram Stoker’s novel, originally debuted in Marvel Comics in 1972’s The Tomb of Dracula #1. The character has changed a lot in the comics over the years. His most recent storyline involved uniting all the world’s vampires and going to war against The Avengers.
Marvel needs to bring that story to the big screen! That would be wild!

Hell yeah! Bring on the drac!

Remember the speculations that Geoff Johns was leaking info to Kevin Feige, giving the MCU the advantage's edge? Remember, the speculation that Feige stole from BVS to create civil war?

Well, here's a video showing how close they were. The rumours might be true.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SVp61vHNElU&feature=youtu.be

" ... After they [Warner Bros.] announced 'Batman v Superman,' [Kevin Feige] said, 'you guys are absolutely right.' We needed to do something challenging with the material or we were going to start to lose the audience," Russo said.

If anything positive came from Batman v. Superman it's the fact that it pushed Feige and the Russos to do Civil War. But that is NOT, stealing from BvS.

And before this is brought up, I've seen the whole, BvS vs. Endgame with Tony & Superman's deaths paralleled but neither is the first to show a protagonist dying to save everyone. If the symbol from the youtuber's video with his initials similar to that of JL, you already know where this guy's bread is buttered.

What if Mr. Sinister has been keeping Professor X under stasis & using his powers to keep mutantkind hidden, so that he can continue his experiments in secret? Sounds wild, but think of how crazy of a post-credit reveal that would be.
