Interesting Observation. But as the writer said what if pastor derails and chooses something else as his GOD ? I am no so sure but i think in the Old Testament, since Jesus was not yet in the picture in a way, Using GOD of Abraham , Isaac and Jacob is a means to attest to the great things GOD had done for and through these three . Same for Elijah and Elisha.

In New Testament, its a different ball game. Jesus is the answer and the only way. We cant even say GOD of Paul or GOD of Apostle Peter or GOD of any other disciple. All prayer have to be routed in Jesus Name and his name only. I Shiver when people pray and say GOD of so so Pastor. This is so common among Pentecostals and white garment churches. GOD of Adeboye, God of Olukoya,GOD of Oschoffa, GOD of Oyedepo etc.

i believe Government should pull out and just give these universities an annual endowment fund and let them raise the rest of required funds on their own.

Its amazing that school fees in some federal unis is between 100 and 300 dollars. In other words, every student in a Nigerian Federal University is on scholarship and these universities still get money from ETF and the likes. Still on still, the quality is poor. Research is zero. Nigeria is not Denmark or FInland. WE have a high population and we are under developed. we cant afford that and still make everyone happy and get quality.

Nigerian students in public universities need to pay more money for school fees and that money should go to the university directly. if you pay peanuts you get peanuts. The government shouldnt put all of them on scholarship for a crap education. it makes no sense. Government and alumni should endow the unis for research and infrastructure. Students should fund the rest.If theres any problem then, dont blame govt. You blame your school.

Finally, the education game is getting elitist. watch out for graduates of the private unis in the next 10 years when their alumni start to occupy major positions. Also watch out for those who can afford to go to the best business schools in Europe and America in the next 10 years. If things dont change now, we would still be watching out for another ASUU strike come 2023. Lagos Business school is leading the way. An MBA costs 3.4 million. No feeding,No accomodation. However, LBS Is light years ahead of any public business school in Nigeria and is well recognized.

Education is cheap. Quality Education is damn expensive.Nigeria cannot afford to put every student on scholarship cos u attend a public university. The 45k school fees doesnt cut it at all.

No need to hate on private universities. Education isn't cheap and most people i know that went to private universities often go for postgraduate degrees in Europe or America and they often tend to perform very well.

Most people tend to believe because the learning conditions in public universities are difficult and hard, they have better quality education ? its not so. You can be paying 15k as school fees in UNILAG or OAU but dont forget the Federal Government is subsidizing your education. In other words, if you are in a public university, you are on scholarship and your school fees in actual sense is probably as high as some private universities.

We all know this happens too in public unis with sex for marks and cash for marks.Maybe not in the same capacity as this but it happens.

I am in the Business Management field and i can easily say the best Business School in Nigeria today by far is the Lagos Business School and Its Private.


It shouldn't be a divide of private vs public rather it should be good vs bad.

Dangote is not a Man. He's a Ministry on his own.

The Import waivers Dangote has had since 1999 proves this. Import waivers in Nigeria are usually done on sabi sabi basis rather than industry wide. I remember Obasanjo giving RCCG import waivers whereas if that was really necessary it should have been targeted towards religious institutions.



The man also has crazy monopoly.He's d John Rockefeller of our era. If he's bored he can increase d price of sugar which will in turn affect d price of confectionaries and other things.

We actually need about 10 or more dangotes for every industry Dangote group plays in and definitely a level playing ground. If not, he will be the richest man alive in 7 years time.

A friend wants to do her masters in d UK to start this september.

She's not so clear about how the maintenance fees.

Can she use her uncles account with the money for tuition and living costs in it for 28 days ? Or must it compulsorily be her own personal account ? She hasn't gotten a CAS number yet though.

Online Professional courses such as PMP,PRINCE2 ITIL and many IT courses can be taken online and you can even write the international exam for ITIL in your sitting room via a web proctored exam and I'm sure both of them are recongnized in Nigeria.

In the case of an Online Masters degree,I'm very sure of the University of Leicester Distance Learning Program which is online. Pls note Uni of Leicester is not a low ranking university like sheffield hallam or middlesex. Uni of Leicester also DOESN'T write distance learning on any of their Masters Degree certificate. The certificate you get for their masters online is the same as the one you get if you decide to travel to the UK instead.Their certificate is also recognized in naija and no one will ever know you did it online unless you tell them.

How can a a lecturer tell u Grade 'A' is for God, 'B' is for him while student can start struggling from 'C' downward ?

I dont know of other courses, but if you ever want to do an MBA course in any Nigerian Federal University,Forget it. Tissue Paper has more value.
