Poster, ur heading should av been "Infamous Militant Soboma George Killed." Anyway, this reminds me of one popular song "Wen the righteous prosper the people rejoice, wen the wicked perish there ar shouts of joy." Am not surprised at all. |
I had this little disagreement wit my gf over her friend. Her friend has been begging me to take her out on so many occasions which i decline. Its not as if she is hiding it. She does d request in front of my gf which i jokingly laugh over it n sumtyms promise her dat i wud take her out. One day, i decided 2 take her out wen my gf wasn't in town n both of us were jus hanging out. We spent sumtym 2gether and dat was all. Wen my gf returned and i told her i took her friend out, she was furious and refused 2 speak wit me for somedays. All though we've settled, her point was dat irrespective of the fact dat the girl in question is her frnd, she is not comfortable wit it and so doesn't approve of it. She says if i don't av sumtin in mind, her frnd may have or such outings may lead to sumtin else. To cut a long story short, av decided no more outings 4 her frnds except in her company. Wat do u guys tink? |

A lot of people makes such comments dat using powder regularly makes d face vry smooth. My saloon guy 4 example has a vry smooth face n he always insist is because he uses powder regularly. Well 4 me i disagree. I don't exactly have smooth face cos av got sum pimples giving me concerns. Due 2 dis pimples, i wash my face two to four times daily n use d powder as regularly as i can come in contact wit it. Yet Smooth face no gree come. Am not a fan of medication or creams 2 get smooth face, but i can tell u dat powder is definitely not one of those tins dat can give u smooth face. |
I remember my dad and lots of my friends dad saying this to us. That we should suffer so dat wen we grow up we will be sensible. That they track 10 miles 2 school during their days (since their was no cars or public transport was vry expensive), that they use slate (chalkboard) 2 write instead of books as we av 2day. That they eat once in a day and so on n so forth. Am wondering how many people wud let their children go tru hardship because u suffered same. Such parents i bliv ar insensitive to the current state of tins. For me, my kids will get d best of evrytin as long as i can afford it. |
I disagree wit d notion dat Nigerians should own gun(s). Nigeria doesn't possess a data based 2 register all guns. If Nigerians are allowed to own gun, killings will increase since d police cannot trace d particular gun dat did d shoting to the owner (Because we don't av forensic scientist in Nigeria). As Nigerian's, we all know how we abuse tins. Given dat guns ar allowed to all citizens i believe the rate of crime will increase. Instead of allowing guns, the government should take more stringent measures to check the flow of illegal weapons to criminal because personally i don't bliv we ar mature enough to own guns. |
Av been a Roman Catholic since i was born, av seen the good and bad side of being a Roman Catholic, av also seen some of the evils propagated by the Catholic church (Sex Scandals etc) and Catholics alike. But besides all this negative vices, being a Catholic has been one of the best things that has happened 2 me. Why am saying all these is because in Nigerian the rate people change church is very alarming. And some of their reasons are very silly ranging 4rm excuses like. 1. They av seen the light in their new church. 2. The church members are not well dressed. 3. The Church doesn't read the bible or doesn't interpret the bible very well. 4. Some say they don't like orthodox church, rather they like new generation churchs. 5. Some even give lousy excuses like their pastors speak local languages, that they prefer American type preaching pastors (like Pastor Chris, Chris Oyakilome etc.) 6. Some say their previous church n the pastors are sinful n corrupt. Infact the list of excuses is endless. My Question is this, even though these excuses are correct or geniune, is it a enough reason 2 change 4rm one church 2 another on a regular basis. I think the best decision is 2 try n make a positive impact in ur church, try 2 convince them that they can do better n not leaving dem 4 lousy reasons n excuses. Because i know guys who av changed churches on more than ten occasion. Am open 2 contributions pls. |
Dis guys don fall my hand wit Google Chrome. My favourite. Why is she so skinny. I disagree abeg. ![]() |
Personally, i don't drink much, infact i don't call myself a drinker cos i rarely drink alcholic drinks like Star, Stout, Heineken etc. I take such drinks (Star or Heineken) maybe once or twice in a month. My observation is that whenever i do take these drinks, i start to urinate almost instantly on a regular basis and i ask myself whats d fun in drinking dat makes people go crazy taking upto ten bottles of alcholic drinks cos personally, its waste of money 2 me. Note: i only take these drinks on social gatherings. Please i need reasonable response. Tnks. |

Thanks. |
Personally, i wudn't agree Wenger be sacked, he is a good coach, his records speaks 4 itself irrespective of no trophies 4 d past 5 - 6 seasons. I'll only advise the arsenal board 2 encourage him 2 buy some good n experienced players n add 2 wat his got, i bet arsenal wud be better dan barca. Ask urself dis questions, how many teams has made d champions league last 16 4 d past 11 yrs, i bet only a handful of clubs can boost of dat, in d premierleague, how many teams can boost of d top four places 4 d past 10 yrs or so, i know u guys can guess d answer. My only probs wit wenger is he is so stubborn n needs sum1 2 help him make those drastic decision of splashin out d cash wen d need b. Presently Arsenal has a young n talented team dat vry few teams in d world can beat, they just need an injection of experienced and good players. Wenger shouldn't be sacked, thats my take on it, he jus needs 2 spnd. Madrid spent nearly 300 million euros dis season, plus d number of coaches they've been changing, where ar they? |
What do u think wil make two persons luv themselves and no matter how hard they try 2 breakup it seems difficult. Why am askin dis question is because av got a frnd dat breaks up wit his girlfriend over certain issues n b4 2days, they ar back 2gether. D relationship has been goin on 4 d past 5yrs n has seen lots of tension 4rm both families. The most recent is dat the girls pastor called dem both, although he discovered dat the boy really luvs dis girl, he asked d girl 2 break up wit d guy because they ar committing fornication since they ar not married. Initially, d girl agreed but 24hrs ltr, d relationship is back 2 where it was. Funny thing abt both of dem is dat they wan 2 breakup because of numerous probs but jus can't do it because of luv. Which begs my question, why is it so difficult 4 both of dem 2 break up? |
Turai n her kitchen cabinet can no longer deceive Nigerians. First the story was Yar Adua was appearing in the mosque 4 friday prayers, now its meeting witout speech. I wonder wat we shall hear next; maybe a return 2 Saudi 4 compulsory medical check up. Na wah ooo. |
More revelations have surfaced as to how the four clerics enlisted in Turai’s latest propaganda about her husband’s health were recruited and used. The four men reportedly met ailing president, Umaru Yar’Adua, on Thursday. They are: Ustaz Musa Mohammed, the Chief Imam of the Abuja National Mosque; Sheik Yakubu Musa, leader of the Izala Muslim sect in Katsina State; Sheik Ibrahim Datti Ahmed, the President of the Supreme Council of Sharia in Nigeria (SCSN); and Sheik Isa Pantami. According to Saharareporters sources, Mrs. Yar’Adua began secretly recruiting the four Imams three weeks ago. The choice of their states of origin: Katsina (Yar’Adua’s home state), Bauchi (where his son-in-law Isa Yuguda is governor); and Kano (where Yar’Adua has a lot of spiritual supporters) underscores the importance of using the Imams in the latest project. The sources said the plot to use the clerics to cause a national uproar was hatched after it became clear that the courts are unwilling to step into the fray after the Chief Judge of the Federal High Court burnt his fingers in aiding Michael Aondoakaa, during his time as Attorney General of the Federation, to stifle a just resolution of Yar’Adua’s absence. Saharareporters learnt that Hon. Shehu Imam, a member of the House of Representatives and Governor Isa Yuguda were instrumental to the plot and its subsequent sponsorship. As we revealed in our latest article, the plot between Mrs. Yar’Adua and Ustaz Musa Mohammed, the chief Imam of the National Mosque in Abuja, was principally to bring a body-double of Yar’Adua to the National Mosque last Friday. The body double reportedly rode and practiced in the presidential convoy for hours on Tuesday and Wednesday last week. That plan had to be canceled when a Lagos-based daily newspaper revealed the plan. Our sources said that the cabal decided to bring Datti Ahmad into the picture because Mr. Ahmed, a medical doctor, has a huge following in the north and he is regarded as an Islamic radical. The plot was aimed at further appealing to the northern parts of the country to see Yar’Adua as a victim of a Christian-South conspiracy. Dr. Ahmad’s statement to the Nation, one of the newspapers recruited into the farce was ominous, as he “warned that Yar’Adua’s presidential authority must not be taken away from him.” Dr. Ahmad also told the newspaper that Yar’Adua did not speak throughout their encounter with him, yet he reportedly threatened, “If any person attempts to seize that presidential authority now, the consequences will remain with the country for a long time.” Our sources said that the four Imams, contrary to the impression created that they sought to meet Yar’Adua on their own, were actively recruited and camped at the Sheraton Hotel for two days before they were fetched by Yar’Adua’s Chief Security Officer, Yusuf Tilde. It was Tilde who personally drove the clerics to Yar’Adua’s residence at the Presidential Villa where the purported meeting took place. As usual, Acting President, Goodluck Jonathan and the National Security Adviser, Gusau, were kept in the dark. Since returning from the visit, the Imams have told different versions of their visit to Yar’Adua with glee, but a new dimension is brewing as Islamic faithfuls across the North are accusing the Imams of receiving bribes to orchestrate a lie, which is antithetical to the Islamic faith. For example the earlier story told by Daily Trust newspapers claimed that the Imams spent over two hours with Yar’Adua, but in interviews with the BBC they said they spent less than five minutes with him and that he had difficulties speaking. Another account said that Yar’Adua spoke, but that he was barely audible. These varying accounts have put the Imams under intense scrutiny and pressure from across Nigeria. One of them, Sheikh Pantami, now claims he doesn’t want his name in print regarding what transpired with Yar’Adua. In all, there is no evidence that Yar’Adua met with the clerics at all, apart from what they have told the public. From all indications, the choice of clerics chosen to engage in the latest plot portrays the visit as an orchestrated attempt by Mrs. Yar’Adua to fan the embers of religious hatred against Jonathan. An Islamic scholar told Saharareporters that the choice made by Mrs. Yar’Adua and that the rhetoric in the Nation newspaper by Dr. Datti was a “holy call for war” amongst faithfuls of the radical clerics. It’s exactly 70 days today that President Yar’Adua travelled to Saudi Arabia for medical treatment. His failure to write a letter to the National Assembly has created a power vacuum – but how well have his ministers discharged their normal duties in his absence? Sometime last year, it was announced after a cabinet meeting that the President had given every minister power and resources to run with and they would be held responsible for the failures and successes of their ministries. Are they living up to expectations? Mike Aondoakaa Attorney-General and Minister of Justice He would probably qualify as the most active of all the ministers as he has been in and out of the court over the constitutionality of the President’s prolonged absence without properly handing over to the Vice-President. But other matters of judicial reforms are still pending though as the minister focuses on politics. Verdict: Active on Yar’Adua. ODEIN AJUMOGOBIA Min. of State for Petroleum Resources The deregulation policy of the Federal Government has taken a backstage. There seems to be confusion on the way forward. Fuel crisis has become hopelessly intractable in the last two months. Expired oil licences have not been renewed, raising legal issues as well as causing economic losses. Verdict: Active on PIB; confused on deregulation. Lanre Babalola Min. of Power Power supply slightly improved in December 2009, although the government could not meet the 6000 megawatts target. However, the trend has been downward since the beginning of the year. Gas has remained the problem but Nigerians are tired of excuses. Also, the privatisation of power sector seems to be heading nowhere. Verdict: Below par Dora Akunyili Min. of Information The AbdulMutallab failed jet-bombing case has been the biggest test of her abilities. She was proactive and spoke quite forcefully in presenting Nigeria’s position to the world after the blacklisting by US. However, she has hardly provided any information on Yar’Adua, although it is obviously not her fault since no information is available at all. Verdict: Active on terrorism; confused on Yar’Adua. Ojo Maduekwe Min. of Foreign Affairs The veteran minister has been up and doing since the President left the country. He liaised with the US authorities in the wake of AbdulMutallab’s failed suicide bombing. His appearance on BBC’s Hardtalk has been criticised, he has managed to make himself heard. Also, the Senate has cleared Nigeria’s ambassadorial nominee to the US, Professor Adefuye. Verdict: Active Diezani allison-madueke Min. of Mines & Steel Development The minister has not relented in her efforts to attract investment into the largely untapped mines sector. She has organised road shows and embarked on awareness campaigns. She has also been pursuing her plan of generating electricity using coal, but no significant results have been recorded yet in that area. Verdict: On the road Sam Egwu Min. of Education Egwu and Aishatu Dukku, the Minister of State, will tomorrow host an inter-ministerial conference on their activities so far and future plans. The implementation of the 'Roadmap for the Education Sector' has commenced. Egwu has inaugurated the Public Private Partnership Steering Committee for e-learning & National Advisory Committee on Open and Distance Learning, which are components of the roadmap. For greater efficiency, he approved a number of transfers in the ministry. Verdict: Active on reform. Godwin Abbe Min. of Defence Abbe is also the Chairman, Presidential Committee on the Implementation of the Amnesty Programme. Many believe that since the President travelled, the implementation of the amnesty programme, particularly the rehabilitation or reintegration of the repentant militants, has been down. This has sparked off unease within the rank of the ex-militants. There are fresh fears of a possible resurgence of hostilities in the Niger Delta. Verdict: Confused on amnesty; active on keeping military out of politics. Rilwanu Lukman Min. of Petroleum Resources Lukman said recently that government was not ready for full deregulation yet because the right enabling environment had not been fully put in place. But it is believed that because of the absence of the President, nobody wants to take politically sensitive decisions. But the Petroleum Industry Bill (PIB) is being pursued with vigour at the National Assembly. The minister hugged the wrong headline last December when he travelled out of the country despite the crippling fuel crisis. Verdict: Active on PIB; inactive on deregulation. Mansur Muhtar Min. of Finance It is perhaps in the area of the economy that the President's absence is mostly felt because of the seeming credit squeeze in the country. Yar'Adua reportedly signed the Supplementary Budget on his sick bed and there appears to be an understanding between the Executive and Legislature extending the lifespan of the 2009 budget since the 2010 budget is not ready yet. Muhtar is, however, about to inaugurate the Tax Appeal Tribunals. Verdict: Could do better on reflating economy. Adamu Aliero Minister, FCT Another minister believed to be close to Yar'Adua is the Minister of Federal Capital Territory, Senator Adamu Aliero. His name has been touted as a likely vice-presidential candidate in the event that Jonathan steps in as president if Yar'Adua can't continue in office on account of his health. Aliero has stepped the tempo of work in the ministry lately with the intensified cleaning up of the city. All projects approved by the cabinet are being executed. Just last week, a Chinese company was given the approval to build 5000 housing units. Verdict: Active on projects. Babatunde Omotoba Min. of Aviation The biggest challenge so far is the AbdulMutallab case. The way the aviation parastatals responded has been well commended. The Nigeria Civil Aviation Authority promptly responded and provided all the travel details of the suspect in such intensity that impressed US authorities who probably thought Nigeria does not operate such an advanced system. The ministry has also acquired some modern equipment to improve security at the airports. Improvement works are also going on at many airports. Verdict: Active on airport security and rehabilitation. Abba Ruma Min. of Agriculture and Water Resources The Minister of Agric, Ruma, who is also a close associate of President Yar'Adua, has launched his Commercial Agriculture Development Programme (CADP) which he says is targeted at taking agriculture to the market place and making it profitable for the farmers. The ministry is building agro input centres and silos all over the country. The Commodity Outgrower Development and Extension-Service Centres, Ruma said, will support 19 million farming families in 20 centres all over the country. Verdict: Divided attention. Adetokunbo Kayode Min. of Labour There has not been any serious industrial crisis since November last year. But Kayode as Labour Minister came to mind during the recent ding-dong between Organised Labour and government over whether or not all the stakeholders have agreed on the implementation of the full deregulation of the downstream oil sector. He is also at the forefront of the move to stop banks from retrenching workers in the wake of the banking reforms. Verdict: Where are the jobs? |
