FamilyRe: Who's More Important In A Marriage? The Husband Or The Kids? by Viciyke(m): 6:06pm On Dec 10, 2009
2 me dis question is like being ask between d devil n d dark blue sea, which way 2 go. In a marriage, i tink d husband is more important dependin on certain circumstance, eg. if d marriage is in d late stages, say d husband and wife ar getting old, i say chose d kids over d husband cos they can continue d family, but if d marriage is in d early stages, i prefer u pick ur husband 4 companionship, u can procreate again, protection from d husband etc. but its jus a matter of choice, luv n peace of mind.
FamilyRe: One Man, One Room, One Motorcycle, Two Wives N Four Children! by Viciyke(m): 5:57pm On Dec 10, 2009
This man is jus a timebomb waiting 2 explode.

4 my part, i blame d women, what kind of a woman wud stay in one room wit her husband, another wife and children. She must be insane. Women shud learn to be independent 2, not always relying on their husbands. gush.

RomanceHow Did U Ask A Girl Out B4 D Advent Of Gsm by Viciyke(op): 8:03pm On Dec 02, 2009
Some days ago, i met a friend who was a great player during d early 90s n late 90s precisely b4 d advent of GSM phones in Nigeria and we started recallin on old times how he used to chyke d ladies without phones. Men it was funny, stressful, hectic n u can even call it endurance trek.

He told me how he bribes d girls friends, gatemen, cooks, drivers, housemaids, security men jus 2 c d girls, he told me how he writes love letters tru her friends, how he goes 2 d ladies house in d nite, how he goes to d ladies school, how he jumbs fence, how he took countless trips tryin 2 c d ladies. His discription was so funny but i kind of feel 4 him during those days cos presently all we do is jus try n get a ladies number and make d call or send an sms to d lady. wit GSM phones available dis days, we don't even go tru much troubles askin a lady out.

So nairalanders, how did u ask a lady out b4 d advent of GSM technology.
RomanceWhats Wrong Wit This Guy by Viciyke(op): 6:21pm On Nov 25, 2009
I have dis friend, i see him talkin 2 ladies during the day time, but he seems shy holding dem or even touching dem. He jus seems satisfied talkin 2 dem dats all. But during d nite period, d guy is unbelievable. he hugs, touches, kisses, dances, talks dirty n even romances d ladies in the public. So i asked him how come he shys away 4rm d ladies during the day time, his reply amused me wen he told me he was always shy during d day time especially infront of ladies.

Nairalanders, wat do u tink is wrong wit dis guy?

Car TalkDriving Overseas Vs Driving In Nigeria: Which Is Better? by Viciyke(op): 8:09pm On Nov 02, 2009
I had dis argument with some friends of mine who came back from europe. Our argument was which country(ies) is the better place to drive a car. Well, their wasnt much in their argument except dat they prefer driving in Nigeria as it is much easier even though hectic to drive around. They gave quite a lot of points but for the purpose of this write up, let me make it brief.
Point one, their argument was dat in major cities of europe america u can't drive beyond the recommended speed limit or u'll get a ticket.
Point two, road signs n symbols must be strictly adhered to or u risk d impound or a ticket 4 disobedience.
Point three, drunk driving, a serious offence overtheir, i guess u know wat happens next if u ar caught
Point four, no abeg or money exchange hand if u ar caught, its just direct to the point, jail, impoundment or ticket.
Point five, getting a drivers licence, very difficult as if u want to rewrite Jamb exams.
Point six and a funny point at dat, dat in europe u can be pulled over at anytime for little suspicion of anything, also 4 petty offence like overspeeding, u can be chased by d police until u ar caught. I called dis point funny becos my friends said police only chase armed robbers and thieves in Nigerian not traffic offenders.
Let me halt here cos their points are still many.

B4 i end my writeup, let me give a little insight about driving in Port Harcourt where i live.

On a clear blue sunday morning, i tried 2 drive out of my gate n d first thing dat gets my attention is the presence of serious traffic jam rite infront of my gate, imagine dat on a sunday morning. After some time wasting, i finally succeed in getting to the highway only 2 get caught in another serious traffic jam dis time caused by a church crusade. The church congregation blocked a complete lane on d highway without blinking an eye about motorist passing tru. After spending close to an hour in a compulsory church procession i decided to pass tru a bye street only to be stopped by huge potholes and gullies adding to the huge downpour, some parts were completely flooded. I succeeded in scaling tru dat hurdle and came back to the major highway only to be met by police brutality in my own words cos police patrol and bullion vans were all moving oneway facing oncoming traffic jus to avoid d traffic jam on their own lane. To cut a long story short, i finally succeeded in getting to my location but something caught my attention, their were so many people around cos their was a small market place nearby which made me to reduce my speed considerably. But can u believe dat those walking refuse to leave the road even after horning for minutes, the traders too have completely blocked half d road jus to make quick sales, their was a busstop close bye, plus a huge refuse dump on d way. I guess u can imagine how dat place looks like. The driving was hell 4 me n i began to remember wat my friends say dat driving in nigeria is easier than driving in europe.

So, which is better? Nigeria or European or American Countries.

PoliticsRe: Lawmakers Ask Armed Robbers To Declare Temporary Ceasefire by Viciyke(m): 4:52pm On Oct 29, 2009
lwkmd, dis our lawmakers na real comedians, imagine dem begging armed robbers to halt operations instead of tackling security situations in the state. I think d armed robbers deserve to run d state more than they do.

FamilyExperiences Of Being The Last Child by Viciyke(op): 5:57pm On Sep 25, 2009
Funny how people say dat being the last child in the family is always about enjoyment which i totally disagree. As the last child in my family, it is completely the opposite. We are nine in the family 6 boys and 3 girls n i happen to be the last of this lot. Exactly the number nine. From a tender age or let me say for as long as i cud remember, i was d one doing the following, i mop the floor every wkend, i wash d dishes, i clear d garbage in the house, i accompany my mum n my sisters to the market, my mum takes me to the village to work in the farm every wkend which is very tedious, i also do the travel to the village and spend at least one month for the usual yearly farming season which i have to roundup with my family quickly so as to return to the city and attend sch. And to cap it up, the most annoying of all this lots of work i engage in is the little errands every member of the family sends u, i.e., go buy me mineral, sugar, margarine, go call dis person and dat.

D only enjoyment i can recount on being the last child is eating the remaining scrubs from their foor and drinks.
So i wonder, wats so special in being a last child anyway?

PoliticsAre Nigerians Devil's Advocate by Viciyke(op): 10:32am On Sep 21, 2009
In common parlance, a devil's advocate is someone who takes a position he or she does not necessarily agree with for the sake of argument.

Take Lawyers for example, they practically defend criminals knowing dat they are guilty, another good example is our Nigerian politicians, they try to bend the law to suit their selfish desires and interest. These examples above is almost applicable to 90% of Nigerians. We try to do things just to suit our personal interest not as a matter of fact or truth.
PoliticsRe: Can Nigeria Police Be Reformed? How? by Viciyke(m): 11:19am On Aug 31, 2009
Solutions
1. Creation of Independent Police Force like a State or Local Police
2. Prosecute offending policing officers publicly, that way, their colleagues will learn from their mistakes.
3. Mass retirement of Police Chiefs since they always claim a blind eye when their subordinates commit crimes.
4. My favourite, change d Police uniform from Black to White like the Navy or Airforce. Black represents evil and when it gets dirty, people hardly notice. Imagine a police officer on d way putting on correct White cloths taking bribes. They will respect their uniforms more. grin grin
5. Better pay for our police force, it will reduce corruption in the force.
6. Increase the level of qualification on recruitment, dat way we would reduce the number of miscreants entering the police force.
7. Appoint a Nuhu Ribadu or Dora Akunyili as IG (Great Idea)
8. I don tire to write oooo. the ideas too much for my head. I'll keep u posted later on.
PoliticsHow Come Cbn Loan Defaulters List Does Not Bear The Names Of Serving Politician? by Viciyke(op): 2:17pm On Aug 25, 2009
Is it a co-incident or are they all clean or ar we missing something here? Non of our presents politicians names is on dat list although am still expecting more. I feel their is something suspicious going on behind the scenes cos CBN can't tell Nigerians dat all our Governors, Deputy Governors, Commissioners, Ministers, National Assembly Members, Local Govt Chairman and even the President and his Vice are not owing a dime to any of this banks. Am Still waiting ooo.

TV/MoviesWhich Is The Best Cable Tv Network In Nigeria by Viciyke(op): 5:11pm On Aug 17, 2009
In my family house, we use DSTV, CMTV and Metro TV but as a football lover, i use of the Metro Cable TV because am able to watch almost all live English Premier League Matches. DSTV is cool but they always select the matches they show and also they only show one match. As for CMTV, i hate it like shit, it sulks. I have heard people saying HITV is cool 2 but am not so familiar with it. So am wondering which is the best CABLE TELEVISION NETWORK IN NIGERIA since we have so many cable operators.

FamilyRe: Is Secrecy In Marriage Protective Or Destructive? by Viciyke(m): 4:20pm On Jul 10, 2009
i dont believe in secrecy in Marriage, but i think couples are entitled to tell each other what they fill necessary to tell. In other words, u tell wat is significant and keep the irrelevant ones to urself. Otherwise u might end up breaking up ur marriage. TELL WHAT U MUST TELL AND KEEP WHAT U MUST KEEP BUT KEEP UR MARRIAGE SAFE
