We all gathered on Tuesday August 6, 2013 as the Nollywood Aneke Twins, Chidiebere and Chidinma Aneke celebrated their birthday with the special sports segment of Sport and the Widows at Swan Hall National Stadium Surulere Lagos. They gave out items like 5 wheel chairs, 20 Clotches to the Special Sports segment of sport, and Bags of Rice and cartons of Noodles to them and the Dwarfs got bags of Rice, gallons of Oil and Wrapper to the widows. Nigerian Paralympian, Joy Onaolapo Is Dead.
The Nigeria Power Lifting Federation (NPLF) has confirmed the death of Joy Onaolapo, a 52kg Paralympian gold medalist at the London 2012 Paralympics.

The Head Coach of the federation, Are Feyisetan, told the News Agency of Nigeria in Lagos that Onaolapo’s death was made known to the federation on July 26. See more pictures of her happy time
Feyisetan said that the federation had yet to be fully briefed on the cause of the death of the athlete, who was with the Edo State Sport Council.

No fewer than three officials of the Nigerian Union of journalists (NUJ) lost their lives in a ghastly motor accident that occurred along Ilesa-Ibadan expressway last night.
The auto-crash involved journalists who were returning back to Lagos from a national programme of the Nigerian Union of Journalists in Abuja.
They met their untimely death at the Ilesa area of the Ile-Ife-Ilesa expressway.
Olatunde Ojenike, chairman of the FRCN Chapter of NUJ, Oyo State, Alolphus Okwokwo from Lagos State chapter and Kafayat Odunsi of NTA were said to have lost their lives while 10 others sustained severe injuries.

This This is unbelievable that this woman used to be normal? What then happened to her? Maybe her ex-husband can give us an insight. Judith Opara Mazagwu, aka Afrocandy, was once married to Bolton Elumelu Mazagwu. Below is an interview he gave Daily Sun a while back about the woman who was once his wife.

On May 4, 2013, Abubakar Adodunrin Adeoti, who is the younger brother of Nollywood actress, Bimbo Thomas, was reported missing. The incident threw the family in confusion. 

The ugly incident left most of the family members of the actress into an unrest as no one had a clue of what might have happened to the young boy. 

But luck later smile on Bimbo Thomas, who is also known as Nikky, a character she played in the popular movie 'Omo Ghetto' by Funke Akindele, when her brother was found few days later. 

According to information scooped by Nigeriafilms.com, the actress' brother was found in coma. He was then rushed to LASUTH where he was later referred to LUTH for treatment. 

Confirming the incident to Nigeriafilms.com when contacted, Bimbo Thomas said her brother is now getting better. She gave glory to God for keeping the boy alive.

Former Manchester United defender Gordon McQueen admits the club's fans would be "shocked" and "devastated" if rumours were true that Sir Alex Ferguson is about to announce his imminent retirement.

Rumours circulating Manchester last night indicated that the 71-year-old was considering his future after it was announced by the club that he would undergo a hip replacement operation this summer.

There has also large amounts of money wagered this week on Everton boss David Moyes leaving the Merseyside club to join United this summer.

Sir Alex, who took over the reins in November 1986, has won his 13th title as United boss – a record 20th for the club – and regaining the crown that was lost to local rivals Manchester City last season had appeared to rejuvenate the veteran boss.

"It would be an absolute shock if it was true," McQueen told Goal.com. "For United fans there is never a right time for Sir Alex to leave. They would be devastated. How do you replace him?

"Of course, he is not going to go on forever, but there has been no indication that he is ready to call it a day just yet."

In his programme notes ahead of Sunday's defeat at home to Chelsea, Sir Alex had given the biggest indication yet that he was intending to carry on for the foreseeable future.

He wrote: "Whether I will be here to oversee another decade remains to be seen, but I certainly don't have any plans at the moment to walk away from what I believe will be something special and worth being around to see."

McQueen added: "I was at a Rangers Legends v Manchester United Legends game in Glasgow with Bryan Robson, Denis Irwin and David May [on Monday] and there was nothing to indicate he would be leaving. Sir Alex was there too but left at half-time to take in an Under-21 game.

"Hip operations are a worry, particularly for someone in their seventies, but Sir Alex had a pacemaker fitted to his heart a few years ago and that didn't slow him down.

"You can be sure that when he does decide to quit, it will be a decision made by him and on his own terms.

"I don't think there will be a big countdown to his departure, he will just want to make the decision and go. That might fit in with the sort of scenario now, but I just don't think this is the right time for him.

"He has just won the Premier League with a young side that will only get better. I'm sure he would find it hard to pass on that team to someone else.

"But even if it is just rumours and nothing comes of it, we all have to accept that there will come a time when he will decide enough is enough. However, United is in his blood and he will never walk away from the club.

"There will always be a place for him upstairs at United and then it will be fun and games seeing if his successor can carry on his legacy." Read details :
