In preparation for her Ankara Day project, Yoruba actress Elizabeth Omowunmi Tekovi aka Liz Da Silva has granted her 3rd interview of the year. The actress made the revelation while answering questions on her upcoming event.
Ms Da Silva said she can go naked in any movie as long as she is well paid.
In her own words:
“I can do anything in acting. There is no limit to what I can do on stage as an actress because I’m a professional actress and I don’t care because that role I am playing is touching somebody somewhere.

“If you give me a nude role that has something to teach people, and does not affect any culture and tradition, I will do it. That is why I am an actress. I don’t care what people might say or think about me,” .
“I am sure my husband will be happy about it if he confirmed by account is loaded. People should keep criticizing while I keep spending the N1 billion largesse from the role,” she added.

Her Ankara Day event will hold on December 27, 2014 in Lagos.

Former Oyo State governor, Otunba Adebayo Alao-Akala, has formerly declared for Labour Party (LP). He dumped the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) alongside thousands of his supporters on Monday evening, at his Bodija residence in Ibadan. According to him, the decision was made based on the demand by his teeming supporters to quit PDP basically because of insincerity and injustice.
Mr Abraham Ojo, his media aide, in a press statement on behalf of Alao-Akala, said “thousands of supporters of the former governor stormed the Bodija residence to delibrate on the way forward, after the injustice meted to him by the PDP. After series of meetings and discussions, they all decided to dump the PDP and move to an alternative party, which is Labour Party.”
“Everybody in the state knows that Alao-Akala and his supporters are strong pillars that hold the party and if a genuine delegate congress is conducted, Alao-Akala will always win, but since the national secretariat has given in to the manipulations of the minotity in the party, we have no option but to quit,” they said. While debunking reports that they participated in PDP primaries, Ojo said Alao-Akala had made his intention to quit the party known since Sunday, after meeting with his teeming supporters in Ogbomoso and later today (Monday) in Ibadan, even before the process started. Ojo added that, “It is laughable and ridiculous to say Alao-Akala scored two votes in the primaries he did not even particiapte in. He is a political giant who has been a bride to all political parties in the state since the PDP travails started”.

Astute pharmacist-turned-politician Jimi Agbaje has been declared winner of the Lagos PDP guber primaries which its results were concluded tonight. Of the 863 total valid votes counted, the aspirants polled: Doherty – 21 votes; Kamson – 46 votes; Gbadamosi- 21 votes; Obanikoro – 343 votes; and Agbaje – 432 votes. Announcing the winner of the primaries, chairman of the governorship electoral committee, Senator Saidu, Umar Kumo said “I hereby declare Mr Jimi Agbaje as the candidate of the PDP for the. 2015 governorship elections.”

Report say, the actress gave birth early this morning.

The professional body of the Golden Movie Ambassador led by its president, Saidi Balogun today was on a courtesy visit to one of the biggest Print Media Houses in Nigeria, PM News.

In addition, Ambassador Foluke Daramola Salako stated that, the Major Cinemas in the county were owned by private sectors and the profit is alarming. She further suggested that, the government should create a standard cinema.

The son of Hollywood Superstar, actor Jackie Chan has been arrested on drug-related charges, Chinese state media say.
Actor Jaycee Chan, 31, and Taiwanese movie star Kai Ko, 23, were detained last Thursday, Beijing police said in a statement on their official microblog.
Police said both men tested positive for marijuana, with more than 100 grams of the drug found at Mr Chan’s home.
Their arrest comes amid an ongoing crackdown on drugs which has already netted several celebrity figures.
In June Chinese President Xi Jinping called for “forceful measures” to tackle illegal drug use.

Gao Hu, 40, who appeared in the 2011 Zhang Yimou film “The Flowers of War”, was detained earlier this month for possession of marijuana and methamphetamines, state media said.

“If there is an increased crackdown on drugs, the number of celebrity offenders will also rise,” he told the Beijing Times on 14 August.

Ahead of the coming African/American Leaders Summit billed for Monday in Washington DC, United States, President Barack Obama, has said some African participants attending will be screened for exposure to the dreaded Ebola virus.
President Goodluck Jonathan along with his aides is among the African leaders expected to attend the event.
According to a Reuters report, Obama explained on Friday that the action would be taken to protect the US from the outbreak of the disease.

He said, “Folks who are from these countries that have even a marginal risk, or an infinitesimal risk of having been exposed in some fashion, we’re making sure we’re doing screening.”
The United States, Obama said, takes risks from the deadly Ebola virus very seriously hence the planned test for the expected African leaders.
Also, two African leaders have said that they would not attend the meeting because of the outbreak of the Ebola disease in their countries. The leaders are the presidents of Liberia and Sierra Leone, Mrs Ellen Johnson-Sirleaf and Ernest BaiKoroma, respectively.
Meanwhile, professional health bodies and medical experts have condemned Nigeria’s response to the global outbreak of Ebola Virus Disease. They strongly condemned what they described as poor preventive measures put in place by the Federal Government.
Nigeria has recorded the death of an Ebola victim, Patrick Sawyer, a Liberian, who flew into the country on July 20.
The deceased collapsed on his arrival in Lagos and was rushed to hospital where he was diagnosed with EVD. He later died on July 25.
Ebola, which has killed scores in Guinea, Gambia and Sierra Leone and Liberia, is an acute viral illness and often characterised by fever, intense weakness, muscle pain, headache and sore throat.
These are followed by vomiting, diarrhoea, rash, impaired kidney and liver function, and in some cases, both internal and external bleeding.
A virologist and President, Nigerian Academy of Science, Prof. Oyewole Tomori, in an interview with SUNDAY PUNCH on Saturday, decried that the porous nature of Nigerian hospitals would allow the disease to spread easily between patients and health workers.
He said, “In an ideal situation, there is no need to close the border. As a matter of fact, there are too many entry points into the country. How many of these can be closed? But beyond closing the borders is the actual state of preparedness. The truth of the matter is we’re not prepared.
“Also, the government needs to collaborate with private medical laboratory facilities. Testing for the Ebola Virus Disease isn’t something that can be done in a moment. It takes time. The Federal Ministry of Health should now be asking laboratory facilities what they have and what they need, as part of preparedness, in case there’s an overwhelming need for blood samples to be tested for the virus.
“The bottom line of my response is that the country is not prepared for an outbreak of the Ebola virus.”
Tomori decried that the case of Sawyer caught Nigeria unawares, as the country was not prepared enough for the disease.
He said, “We are not prepared to handle any outbreak of the Ebola Virus Disease. There’s no sign of any state of preparedness. What happened in the case of the dead Liberian man with Ebola virus visiting Nigeria was circumstantial. It was not that we prepared for it as a nation.
