She is not just a mannequin, sis. Her name is Snow White. My Snow White.

Ok... You two look awesome together. You should hurry to introduce Snow White to your parent, I bet they'd be glad. And send me an invite when you're ready to tie the knot.

She stood by me when everyone rejected me. Please rate us.

Please stop ok.. Try to give humour to more appropriate stuff (not a mannequin).

Hmmmmm, then. The bible tells us of things to avoid as Christians, how to live etc but others completely live the opposite meaning if they are fine with clubbing and it doesn't bug them they can go, smoking weed, drinking and fornicating? It all has to do with conscious right?

Then the Spirit in them isn't bearing witness to the truth of the gospel.

If I inscribe Love or Grace or Christ on any part of my body, it's same as having a tattoo of Love, Grace, or Christ on me.

Tattoos is not a sin in itself but becomes a sin when we use it to glory in the flesh.

oh and gumoreen everyone...

vickyo you jogged today?

Yes, I did..
Mintayo:

Can we say it the other way? Your last statement?

Yes... and by that I mean customs and traditions of men....

Tattoos in Levticus 19:28 was in relation to the pagan practice of tattooing in connection to funeral rites....
In The book of Revelations 19:12/16 you see that on Christ's forehead and thigh something's were written which is more like a tattoo. The one written in his thigh says King of kings and Lord of lords which perfectly describes Him.
So tattooing for Christians is a mode of self expression and worship... I can tattoo on my body a Bible text that I love, the name of a loved one, a word that means so much to me... The tattoos on me then describes who I am, A Creation of God and a Believer.

HumbledbYGrace:
so as to make the long story short, those ladies who have their eyebrows tattooed are so damn doomed to hell? Please elaborate Sir.

No they aren't... He made mention of it being a sin to you if you're uncomfortable with your decision.

Whatever you believe is wrong becomes a sin to you when you indulge in it.

If your mum tells you to call your brother, you say, 'they are calling you'...
You call non blacks Oyinbo.
You place your two hands on your head when you hear a bad news.
You eat swallow at least once a day... E.g. akpu and egusi, amala and ewedu, starch, e.t.c

I remember my brother asking this same question and my response was that, I'll run.

If the situation was better in Nigeria I might get down to help. But now in Nigeria, people do anything for cash. You don't know if hoodlums are waiting nearby to lynch you (me being barely 5ft 2in gives them the upper hand) the instant you set your feet on the road. So I'll just call an emergency line, report the accident and location. Driving might pose a great challenge as I might be shaky but one's got to survive..

Lmao!!! You can't drive in Lagos without horn. Mba, odikwa too risky grin

You could manage to get by in Abuja town without using your horn .... motorcycles have been banned in major roads, danfoes have been banned, pedestrian bridges are being constructed and the road network is getting better.. But in the outskirts e.g Zuba, Mararaba,e.t.c using your horn becomes a reflex action...

Lmao! cheesy

My elder sister has changed her horn countless times. One particular time during traffic, she was in the process of honking it when it died, yet again. My sis said her voice turned to a horn that day. Whenever one of this crazy Lagos danfos came too close to her, she would immediately shriek at the top her voice "watch, watch!!" If the vehicles preceding were too slow in moving, or pedestrians were hesitant in crossing in front her vehicle, she would stick out her head out of the window and bawl "mooove!!". Very traumatic experience, according to her. grin

Even Dad has changed horns a couple times. He uses 'eba power' to honk that thing, because, according to him, "some people's case have already been concluded in the spirit realm. They are just looking for who will finish it up in the physical" and he refuses to be the scapegoat for such people. cheesy

This is hilarious..

Question for all. If we can look at each number separately.

I disagree with only number two...

Rap is okay... Tattoos are okay.... Hanging out with those who aren't born again is okay so long as you're sure of your identity in Christ.... Dreadlocks are at times naturally given, it's harmless.

Dlionsheart:

To answer your question on whether we should salvage this tradition, my answer is YES. HOW? We should salvage it by teaching it to our younger ones and children through showing perfect example.
REASONS: that's our identity as a people, that's our tradition as a society , that's who we are as a nation.

SECONDLY, the borrowed western culture/ tradition has not helped us as a nation.

WE ARE BLACK PEOPLE, AFRICAN AND THERE'S NOTHING WE CAN DO ABOUT THAT.

A well defined point of view....

I had to shorten it a bit....
