How lasting has the impact of their governance been?

Billionaires don't make the world better, only people who have the interests of others in mind.

Note that I'm not jabbing them. The fact that they are billionaires doesn't change a thing but the impact they leave behind.

I read the other day that a man was on trail against the Federal Government for posting a picture of Buhari with RIP on it. The man defended himself by simply saying RIP meant remain in power.

This government is the most unusual I have seen all my life in Nigeria. Many things are going awry but I pray everthing turns out well at last. As the Bible says, though sorrow may last for the night, joy's going to come in the morning.

I have chosen not to criticise anymore but to encourage and pray for the government because they are all we've got for the next four years.

So let us all pray for Nigeria till we are united and one. Corruption kept at bay. Boko Haram displaced. Lost glory restored so we all can exhale.

God bless Nigeria and it's slogan; Good people, great Nation.

Corruption is just one of our many problems. It isn't exactly the problem stalling our growth but structures that work.

For example; if you want to rid your house of mosquitoes, you don't spray insecticides everyday when you're yet to drain the stagnant dirty water in your backyard. When your house is clean inside and out, the infestation of mosquitoes would substantially reduce and it'd be very easy for you to control them.

Summary... We need structures that work before we think about corruption. Overhaul the system and see what happens.

I'm just exhausted with our political scene. Where are our leaders of tomorrow? It's just the same old same old.

They could as well appoint Shekau as the Chairman, it's their bleeping business...

Nigerians youths need to really wake up cause whatever mess these men leave behind would in future be our burden and that of our kids.

PDP and APC.... It is like choosing between the devil and the deep blue sea.

Truth is I didn't grow up seeing my parents travel to places asides my hometown and down South when extended family celebrations came up... The thing is they possess all of these qualities and more...

My point is travel doesn't mean Yankee or Madagascar, anywhere is everywhere, all you got to do is enjoy being where you are...

Whether Gateway Hotel in Ogun or Obudu in Calabar or your grandfather's house in the village or wherever, choose to make memories and this should strengthen your bond to a large extent..

This is how you know the worth of a king - the way he is perceived and received by his 'former subjects' after he leaves the throne.

Jonathan is one of the best presidents we ever had and I'm sure if not for the insurgency, he'd have taken Nigeria to great heights.

For now, let's make do with what we have and hope for better days ahead.

All I want to hear is they have sentenced so and so to so-so-so years in prison for corruption charges.

It won't be bad though, if one or all of the above get some jail time. It'll be a landmark in our judicial system.

They bring some people up and before you know it, nothing is heard of them again. I remember the other guy who paid just 750K as plea bargain after looting billions of pension funds. The judicial system has been a joke for a long time and till it starts doing what it should do, I won't raise my blood pressure for soon to be freed thieves.

I don't give two hoot whether they're best friends or enemies. They've got our youths washed up in illusions and unrealistic ideals. I thank them though for putting Nigeria out there but it's a pity kids and adults of these days can't get good content in songs and music videos.

The day SoundCity played In My Bed by Wizkid, I had to change the channel when the ass zooming became too much to bear - note that my 9year old brother was right beside me.

The dramas are too much to bear. I never really liked following politics till the inception of the PDP and APC saga. What if he is dubious? Aren't assets subjected to some form of verification after their declaration? I'm really not conversant with the Code of Conduct enabling Act so I'll just drop the matter.(quote me not as regard Saraki's trial)

Whatever his punishment may be is not my concern. I have not heard of a country that achieved great heights by going after corrupt individuals.We can never convict all corrupt people in this country. I have given bribes (not proud of it) but I can never be arrested because it hasn't been documented. ( Or Maybe they are trying to make an example of the 'scapegoats' so as to frighten others).

My point is (though a bit myopic) that don't go chasing shadows of the past in order to achieve some form of self justification. The foundation is rotten, right? All you got to do is bulldoze the building and build a new one. Don't start examining each brick and reprimanding the builders for a job poorly done. Do that when you have a better edifice and that will speak for you. (I wonder if anyone has been securely convicted of corruption so far).

People are waiting, stomachs are rumbling, cars aren't moving cause they're sleeping at ⛽ stations, Boko Haram is at its best, Biafra is being handled lightly. We voted for change though I didn't but I have come to accept it. I wanna see changes. Not the same old.

Read my post again (I've had it modified).. The first paragraph is what the Change proclaimers are telling me. The second paragraph is my response to all of it.

The active Change proclaimers keep telling me that the end will justify the means.... They say that Nigerians may not understand what Buhari is doing but on the long run it will unfold beautifully.

To all of the above I'd simply say - Let's see where all these lead us. I just hope it doesn't end up becoming an outrageous battle for change where the bad outweighs the good.
