Nairaland General › Re: What Does It Mean When There Are Two Yolks In One Egg? (PICTURE) by VickyRotex(f): 9:31pm On May 18, 2020
poor twins cry

on a serious note, op it just means the chicken released 2 yolks before the shell and egg whites formed.

other members with more knowledge on this can correct me.

if you want the superstitious belief, some say it means luck like the FTC said, but I no know about that one. undecided
Phones › Re: Please Help A Brother , My Phone Charge Within 2hours But Now Takes 24hours by VickyRotex(f):
Poster above: unless you're joking, that's not necessarily true.

OP, I had a similar issue with my phone about a month ago, and it was because the phone fell off while charging so the connector became loose. I had another charger (fairly new) and tried it, but it was still taking a while to charge, so I thought it was an issue with the phone's charging panel since I'd tried a different charger.
Eventually I got a new charger and tried it, its working perfectly now.

Even if you've tried other chargers, doesn't mean its the phone. You may want to try another power outlet like you mentioned above, buy a new charger, or try in a different environment.

I dont know if this has anything to do with the battery, but I may be wrong. what happens when you charge the phone while it's powered off?

just make sure you've exhausted all your options before you spend on a new one.

For anyone interested in learning basic to intermediate concepts of Network Security, this course (previously posted by the op) is still available to enroll for free. (until May 31st).

Takes about 1 to 3 months (or even less) to complete depending on time and consistency.

You wont be getting a voucher for the exam, but you will be getting a certificate of completion. To take the exam, according to the ICSI website it currently costs 75 pounds. (https://www.icsi.co.uk/courses/icsi-certified-network-security-specialist-cnss-lab-exam-bundle)

Proof of course completion will be required before or by set date.
Proof of certification obtained before September 2020, otherwise you'll refund me grin
Or I may need you to obtain the certification and I refund you.

I used to WFH before now, but not everyday (in fact not a fan of it), so this was a learning curve for me and I had to adapt to it. I'm liking it now but I don't want to get used to this. I'd still prefer to have my options open like being able to go into the office when things get better. And I miss my colleagues. angry

Naah, won't work. This is a forum, contents in a forum are contributed by the members why the owner performs a supervisory role. The last you thing you want to do is monetize contribution on a forum.

What Seun can do is employ more mods who will be saddle with the responsibility of approving threads before it is created. Nairaland can also have a Creator rating system for members where other members rate the quality of your thread, and if you fall below certain benchmark you lose the right to create threads except maybe in the joke section. grin

This would mitigate the problem of low quality threads littered around the forum.

This comes at a cost too though. Engagements will drop as the most active users on the forum are in the sections with the least most intelligent people. And what's that saying about "who pays the piper.....?
lol fair enough. I agree with your points. cool

Just a couple of comments:

1. Maybe not ideal for a forum like you pointed out, however monetizing creation of threads is different from individual participation or contributions so members can still participate for free, and only the member creating the thread gets to pay for it, but I see your point.

2. If a member/members would normally create 10's of these kind of threads in a day, that would change once there's a price value. People would think twice on which of the threads they want to pay for. That's not to say some members wouldn't still pay to create a thread like this. But at least they'll prioritize.

I agree with you on the joke section, but even threads like this shouldn't be in the joke section. very silly, just saying.

Who pays the piper isn't calling the tune here. angry why? I'll merge both suggestions together:
Pay for a thread
Goes to a mod for approval
Gets denied for the low quality OR get rated for low quality by other members
Lose your money
Next time you'll learn! tongue

PS: "you" isn't referring to YOU, and I'm sure you know that. Just putting it out there in case "people" come for my head. you ger warramean. wink

Seun, this is one of the reasons there should be a price tag before anyone can create a thread.

Wow, this is good, however, the word for onions is borrowed from the Arabic word "basl/bsal/albasl/albasl/albasal". Hausa's borrowed it from the Arabs and I guess Yoruba's in turn did same.
When are they planning to return it? undecided undecided
