Na Gwamnati neglect o. There's no government presence whatsoever in Felele.
Dude had a booty call and he decided to defy the heavy downpour to pay the chic a visit. On getting to the stream, he got stuck. And since it was late in the night, there was nobody to assist him get the vehicle out. He had to lock the car up there and proceeded to quench the pent up konji. Only for him to come back in the morning to meet the car in the canal. He was lucky that a palm tree blocked the car. If not, maybe he would have gone to search for the car in the River Niger.

Another drama played out when the crane truck came to haul the car out. The truck got stuck too and wouldn't start. A Tipper was used to tow it too, hours after the car had been pulled out. End of story.

Oh well Vicky. Thank God for your life.

I had a similar experience very recently, at the same location as yours, but merely escaped by God's special grace... just last month. I recounted the experience here last week. Here are excerpts:

I was in a commuter bus heading to Abuja, and after Lokoja - somewhere before or around Abaji - while I was busy replying an email on my phone, I was jolted back to my surroundings by a sudden, collective, desperate cry by my fellow passengers: 'ndia bu ndi ori, ndi ori o; driver move o move o, ndi ori ndi ori o'. I looked up to behold Fulani-looking gunmen on the road, in front of our bus. Like the OP described, one of the brigands was right in the centre of the road, with his brute finger poised on the trigger of what looked like the 'industry standard' AK-47. Two others flanked him to the left and right.

To make matters seemingly worse. Our driver was a complete novice to these kinds of experiences. Rather than damn all consequences and force his way though (like in the OP's case), the idiot panicked and stamped his foot on the brake, fidgeting and waiting, as the brigands advanced menacingly towards us. At that point I had resigned myself to fate.

However, as the good Lord God of Heaven would have it, believe it or not, at that very moment, an oncoming private bus with a police escort in the front seat emerged from nowhere. The escort, on sensing what was happening, released a flurry of gun shots which forced the brigands to scamper in all directions while the bus with the policeman zoomed off. At that point, we all shouted at the transfixed and confused driver of our bus to follow suit. Only then did the idiot pedal down and escape from the scene.

I have no idea what qualified us to benefit from that kind of spectacular coincidence... An oncoming bus with an armed security operative happening upon us at the very moment of our need, in the middle of nowhere.....
OMG!!!! Wooow! What a great testimony! I believe it. With God All things are possible. Indeed God made a way! I rejoice with you!

Guess I should recount mine too.
It was a similar experience too, cos I could remember reading the newspaper about Sam Loco's death, and the next thing I heard from fellow passengers was "We don enter their hand o" Raising my head to see 3 men masked in front of a van, while the others were on the other lane. On the contrary, our own driver was actually speeding off to escape, until they shot at the tyre and it busted, and everyone had to run out of the car while they kept shooting at us, and also at other vehicles to stop.
But the sad thing is, I'm surprised this still goes on for over 6 years now. Wow. Cos just as you mentioned, they were likely Fulanis. Also, while they were running when the NPF came, they even referred to themselves as "Sergeants" They were like "Sergeant, Police zo" and ran into the bush. In-fact the guy who took my laptop and belongings, passed beside me in the bush, and I was so scared he could shoot me, if he had seen me.

Oh My! Recounting this, kinda brings tears to my eyes. Seems so fresh. But things like this, makes me remember how far God has brought, spared and sustained me. I am indeed grateful!

Wetin happen for there sister? share your experience. Thanks.
hedonistic:
Can you recount/narrate your experience on that fateful day?
Not pleasant to spend time recounting. However, It was same as the pictures up there. We were robbed on the road, (Multiple vehicles) just 2 minutes after police check point (Along Abaji). People were killed. I dont know how I dived into the bush, to take cover from the gunfire, but I found myself in the bush. And Our NPF showed up 30 minutes later, when the robbers were done stealing our belongings. (The same NPF that were 2 minutes away)
I lost Faith in NPF that day. I hated them for the blood of the people spilled. However, I regained Faith in them, cos some of their good deeds has covered their multitude of sins.

It was a traumatic experience, took time to heal.
So to people judging the lady's English, I'll say, you honestly cant imagine what she's been through.

just thought it would be of great importance to drop this here. God made what I thought would never be possible, possible!
There was this highly important quiz/test that carries nearly half of the mark for one particular course I'm offering (3 credit unit course) wasn't around for the quiz for some very serious reasons. When I got back, I already zeroed it that I'm gon carry over the course and also been praying never to carry another course or else I drop out from pharmacy school. Just last week, a friend of mine told me I could get some cash to settle the lecturer so I could write the test, gave the man some couple of bucks and he bluntly refused and threatened me with expulsion. On Friday I texted him on watsap to further apologise to him and he even warned me not to ever message him on watsap. I joined the hallelujah challenge on Saturday night and behold! couldn't believe my eyes when he called me to come rewrite the quiz, I mean he called me himself! even texted the location I'd go meet him to me on watsap, please help me thank the God of Nathaniel Bassey!
Beautiful!!! Beautiful!!! Beautiful!!!! This can only be God!!!! Congratulations Bro!!!!
Thank you Most High God!!!!

Let me drop my Praise report here...my testimony!

I have been trying to conceive for some years now, I was told both my tubes were blocked.
Recently HSG showed that my left tube was open but the right was still blocked. So, every
month i have to take some medications and trigger shots to stimulate the open left tube but
It never worked because i kept responding on the right tube which is blocked. After the Praise
challenge of last night, Nathaniel Bassey said we should ask God for just one thing, something
big that only God could do, I told God to touch my left tube and cause it to respond to treatment
I had an appointment with the Dr today and for the first time since we started this treatment, I
got a positive report today. My Dr was happy to announce to me that the left tube was responding
positively...Only God can do this and i return all the glory to Him alone...Amen! Alleluia! Glory!!
Woooooooooowww Woooooooooowwwww.
I hope you will believe me if I say I expected this soon.
I sensed this on Sunday, I dont know why. But I kept thanking God for this testimony. The Spirit of truth is indeed one. God indeed speaks. He started the good work, He will perfect it! kiss kiss

I'm Happy to Hear this Sis!!! This is just the beginning of greater testimonies to come o. Yesssss!!! This is just Preamble. cheesy cheesy Congratulations Sis. kiss kiss kiss
