Crime / US Court Orders FBI To Arrest Abba Kyari Over Hushpuppi’s Fraud Investigations | by vicmatias(m): 12:56pm On Jul 29, 2021
AUnited States' Court has issued a warrant of arrest for Nigeria’s Deputy Commissioner of Police, Abba Kyari, over his role in serial internet fraudster, Ramon Abbas, more commonly Hushpuppi’s multi-million naira fraud probe.
Otis Wright of the United States District Court for the Central District of California ordered the Federal Bureau of Investigation to track down Kyari and produce him in the United States for his role in a multi-million dollar fraud.
Abbas was arrested in Dubai last June and he pleaded guilty to fraud in the U.S. this week.

The FBI said Abbas and Kyari have been friends and were both involved in a conspiracy to launder money.

American prosecutors first sought a court warrant to arrest Kyari on February 12, 2021, according to court documents seen by People’s Gazette.

Another warrant was requested on April 29, 2021.

Judge Wright’s permission for the FBI to arrest Mr Kyari and hold him in U.S. custody was unsealed on July 26.

SaharaReporters had earlier reported that Hushpuppi narrated how he bribed Kyari to have one of his rivals arrested and jailed in Nigeria following a dispute over a $1.1million dupe of a Qatari businessperson.

Abbas had asked Kyari to arrest and jail a fellow fraudster Kelly Chibuzor Vincent after both were locked in a dispute presumably over how to share the $1.1million loot received from the Qatari businessperson.

Abbas had pleaded guilty to a multi-million fraud earlier this month and faces up to 20 years in jail.

He will be sentenced in the coming weeks and will forfeit some of his assets and his rights to appeal while also paying restitution to victims of his years-long fraud.

Kyari in a statement on Facebook has, however, dismissed the allegations of bribe.

"You Should Be Ashamed Of Yourself For Representing A Terrorist Country, Buhari Is A Kidnapper" - Nigerian Players Disgraced In Austria (Must Watch)

The man urged the footballers to return to their bases and not represent Nigeria, which he described as a terrorist nation under President Muhammadu Buhari.

Nigeria's national female football team, Super Falcons have been subjected to hurls of abuse from an angry Nigerian in Vienna, Austria.

This happened on a bus after their training in the European country.
The visibly angry Nigerian man was mad that they could represent Nigeria despite all the human rights abuses recorded by the government of Muhammadu Buhari, including the killing and arrest of peaceful protesters.

A contingent of the nine-time African champions - Nigeria - on Sunday arrived in Vienna, the Austrian capital, for an 8-day training camp as part of preparations for some upcoming games, most notably the Aisha Buhari Invitational Women’s Football Tournament.

Lagos is scheduled to host the six-nation invitational that will see the Super Falcons, Ghana’s Black Queens, Cameroon’s Indomitable Lionesses, Banyana Banyana of South Africa, Morocco, and Mali compete in September for a trophy named in honour of Nigeria’s First Lady, Aisha Buhari.

Twentry-six players, alongside technical and administrative staff, are staying at the Event Hotel Pyramide, Vienna for camping.

However, a video seen by SaharaReporters on Tuesday shows how the team were subjected to a tirade of abuse from a visibly angry Nigerian in the European country.

Family / Monkey Takes Selfie In Front Of Stunned Family And Gives Them The Middle Finger by vicmatias(m): 2:17pm On Jun 13, 2019
Monkey takes selfie in front of stunned family and gives them the middle finger

Monkey grabs a camera for a selfie with a stunned family on holiday in Bali... and flips the middle finger!

A family got the holiday snap of a lifetime when a monkey grabbed their camera and took a selfie - before giving them the middle finger.
The family from the Sunshine Coast in Queensland, Australia were on a dream holiday in Bali, Indonesia when they decided to make a day trip to the popular Ubud Monkey Forest.
Judy, 37, Simon, 36, and three kids Elijah, 13, Jimmy, 11, and Kayleigh, eight, visited the sacred forest, where hundreds of monkeys reside.
They asked a local guide to take photos of them during the day and were stunned to look back at the snaps and see the curious monkey flipping its middle finger.
After looking back at the pictures, mother and administration worker Judy said her family burst out laughing.
Judy said: 'We were only in Bali for a week and thought it would be fun to go on a day tour around Bali.
'While we were there, a guide offered to take our photo. But as he did, a monkey suddenly came in front of the camera.
'The guide had peanuts in his hand and then began feeding him. It was really funny.

'As I was flicking through the photos afterwards, I noticed that in one of them the monkey was actually giving us the finger.
'I showed my husband and we both started laughing. We thought it was hilarious.
'The monkey definitely had a cheeky persona going on.

Politics / Is Nigeria A DEMOCRATIC Nation?.. Dr. NICOLAS FELIX by vicmatias(m): 9:17am On Jun 13, 2019
June 12th, Democracy Day in Nigeria

Democracy is government by the people in which the supreme power is vested in the people and exercised directly by them or by their elected Representatives under a free electoral system. However the question we should be asking ourselves is,
is Nigeria a DEMOCRATIC NATION?

The solution to our problem as a country is in our hands not in the hands of our current wicked leaders.

February 23rd 2019 millions of Nigerians went out to vote, but a few people who were paid stole the voice of the people and President Buhari was announced the Winner.

Few days ago AIT was taken off the air with no cogent reason.
Herdsmen are killing thousands of people and yet we are paying them? No single arrest of herdsmen. Wow unbelievable.

When we were be ruled by the British Colonies, we were crying and shouting to be free and October 1st 1960 when Nigeria gained her independence we thought we were free.

Is this freedom? When you can't Express yourself. Is this freedom? When you sleep with one eye open. Is this freedom where you criticize the president and you pay for it.

Nigerians arise and defend your Democracy.
Politics / Nicolas Felix,Who Finished 3rd In Presidential Election, Says God Has Chosen Him by vicmatias(m): 4:46pm On Mar 04, 2019
One of the biggest shocks of the recently-concluded 2019 presidential election is the emergence of a widely-unknown Dr Nicolas Felix as the second runner-up.

Even though he finished a distant third behind APC's President Muhammadu Buhari and PDP's Atiku Abubakar, many were still shocked by the huge amount of votes polled by Dr Felix especially since his name didn't regularly come up in Third Force conversations before the election.

His total of 110,196 votes is more than the combined 72,618 votes polled by more well-known Third Force candidates - Omoyele Sowore of the African Action Congress (33,953), Kingsley Moghalu of the Young Progressive Party (21,886) and Fela Durotoye of the Alliance for New Nigeria (16,779).

Dr Felix's shocking vote tally has been theorised in some quarters to have been accidental votes cast by voters who couldn't tell the difference between his Peoples Coalition Party (PCP) and the main opposition party, PDP, with both parties placed next to each other on the ballot with very similar colours.

In an election contested by 73 candidates, many of the candidates that didn't belong to the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) or main opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) had campaigned majorly as alternative candidates popularly called the Third Force.

In this interview conducted on Saturday, March 2, 2019, Dr Felix, the founding Pastor of Miracle Centre International, in the United States, told Pulse Nigeria that his 'victory' was as a result of hard work put into his campaign.

The 37-year-old New York-based businessman also revealed that his encouraging performance has proven that he's the true leader of the Third Force, and will be back to run again in 2023 because he's been chosen by God to lead the country.

Read the full interview below:

Pulse Nigeria: How does it feel to finish in third position in the recently-concluded presidential election, especially since you already dropped out of the race?

Dr Nicolas Felix: It feels great to be the third place winner and I'm very grateful to Nigerians for voting for me.

I didn't drop out of the race. Few days before the election, we decided to endorse Atiku because we saw we may not be able to win the election and decided to endorse someone who gave us ear to hear what we have to offer and was willing to do some of the things we asked for, especially getting the youths to work.
Pulse: Many would say that you were relatively unknown until after the collation of results. What would you say contributed to getting that unexpected number of votes?

Dr Felix: That's not true to say I was unknown. I held town hall meetings in several states. I held campaign rallies in few states; gave out free kerosene in two states; and I was on AIT, ITV and TVC several times.

For one year, I visited towns, market places, churches, schools and much more. Basically we did the grassroots work and not only on TV and social media.

Pulse: You were first running for the presidency on the platform of the All Blending Party (ABP) before jumping to the Peoples Coalition Party (PCP); what influenced that choice?

Dr Felix: I didn't jump to PCP, I was scammed by ABP. Two days to the primaries, they changed the venue and never notified us and immediately the chairman of the party, Moses Shipi, decided he wants to run for president and he was given the ticket. We had no choice than to look for another party in less than 24 hours before October 7th which was the deadline.

Pulse: At 37, you were one of the young aspirants who participated in the Presidential Aspirants Coming Together (PACT) coalition before you pulled out at the last minute. What happened there?

Dr Felix: I never fully participated in PACT. I only attended the last meeting and I felt I wasn't really involved in the process. As a result, I decided to pull out.

Pulse: Despite running with a promise to create a new direction for Nigeria, you dropped out of the race just days to the initially scheduled date of February 16 to endorse Atiku Abubakar of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), a 72-year-old member of Nigeria's old political class. What led you to that decision? Was it really your decision? Especially since your party signed up with the PDP-led Coalition of United Political Parties (CUPP) just weeks before you bowed out.

Dr Felix: My party signed up with CUPP, that was the beginning. Even though I was against it, I released a press statement when it happened.

After meeting with Atiku and we spoke for close to an hour, I decided to endorse him because I saw in him the ability to create jobs as a businessman to get Nigerians working again.

Please note I was never paid, I didn't collect any money from Atiku or PDP. Contrary to what people think, I am saying it categorically without mincing words, I wasn't paid to endorse him. I did what I thought was right.

Dr Nicolas Felix endorsed the main opposition candidate Atiku Abubakar of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) before the February 23 presidential election where he eventually finished third behind him Dr Nicolas Felix endorsed the main opposition candidate Atiku Abubakar of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) before the February 23 presidential election where he eventually finished third behind him
Pulse: Many people have claimed that your impressive vote tally is accidental because your party's acronym, PCP, and its colours are very identical to that of the PDP, and this resulted in a lot of voters mistaking you for the main opposition party. Do you believe this to be true?

Dr Felix: That's not true. My supporters voted for me. We have very active state coordinators in the entire 36 states including FCT. PDP logo and PCP logo are not identical. You can google the logo of PCP and see for yourself.

Some young presidential candidate who can't handle the fact that we came third has decided to create another party logo to discredit our victory. Please note INEC will never allow two political parties to have identical logos, so that is false.

This is not just my victory, this is the victory of Nigerians and it will be a bigger victory in 2023 when I will be elected Nigeria's youngest democratic president.

Pulse: Despite your insistence about the party colours, there are pictures of the ballot paper which clearly shows that the colours of the PDP and yours were identical even though yours were supposed to be different. Do you think maybe you did get accidental votes due to it, no matter how little?

Dr Felix: I repeat we didn't get any accidental votes. Someone must be first. Someone must be second. Someone must be third and we happen to be the one. If you weren't expecting us to be the one, well that's the way life is. Millions of Nigerians were also not expecting Buhari to be re-elected. The shape of the logos are not the same. Everyone knows PDP is umbrella.

Pulse: So, what do you think made you stand out to voters from the rest of the Third Force, especially over more well-known candidates like Omoyele Sowore of the African Action Congress (AAC), Kingsley Moghalu of the Young Progressive Party (YPP) and Fela Durotoye of the Alliance for New Nigeria (ANN)?

Dr Felix: I did grassroots campaign. I went to meet the people who truly vote. I sold our vision to our state coordinators who ran with the vision and together we produced results.

Pulse: Would you consider a partnership with these other well-known candidates going into the 2023 campaign?

Dr Felix: It's obvious I'm the Third Force and I will be president come 2023; and yes, of course, I will love to have them on board so we can all do this together.

I will love to have them in my cabinet when I become President because I believe each of them have great ideas.

Pulse: What do you think about the conduct of the Presidential and National Assembly elections?

Dr Felix: Absolutely not free and fair. There are so many irregularities. INEC needs to be more independent.

Pulse: Do you think Atiku Abubakar should pursue his decision to contest the result of the election in court?

Dr Felix: I think that's his call to make. That's the beauty of democracy.

Pulse: With the unexpected boost in your profile, will you be back to contest again in 2023?

Dr Felix: Oh yes! I am surely coming to run for the office of the President in 2023 and we have kick-started plans already and few days from now I will officially make my declaration. Without any doubt, we are going to win the election.

Pulse: Will you be staying with the PCP for your 2023 campaign or will you be seeking a bigger, more established platform?

Dr Felix: I will be staying with them, unless PDP wants to welcome young candidates and if we stand a chance, we can consider it.

Pulse: What are your plans for Nigerians?

Dr Felix: To improve security in Nigeria. The primary responsibility of any government is to protect the lives and property of her citizens and our government has failed on that.

I also plan to improve power generation from alternative sources, provide access to good healthcare, improve quality education, develop and invest in infrastructure, improve socio-economic problems, and eradicate corrupt practices.

Pulse: Do you have any final words for Nigerians?

Dr Felix: People are forgetting that Nigeria is God's own country and he will choose who he wants to lead the country, and it's obvious he has chosen me.

Politics / Re: How Unknown 37-years- Old Nigerian Presidential Candidate Came 3rd After Atiku. by vicmatias(m): 1:40pm On Mar 01, 2019
victory is victory no matter how. Buhari that won ,was it free? But you are celebrating him!
Politics / How Unknown 37-years- Old Nigerian Presidential Candidate Came 3rd After Atiku. by vicmatias(m): 12:37pm On Mar 01, 2019
He was relatively not in the consciousness of many Nigerians. He was not a part of those whose campaign posters dotted the entire landscape of the country, maybe as a result of poor financial muscle like the two dominant parties, the All Progressives Congress (APC) and the
Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) . But Felix Nicolas of the Peoples Coalition Party (PCP) came third in the tensely contested presidential election which just ended.
As Nigerians suddenly started digging for who the 37-year-old New York-based pastor was that could beat known faces like Omoyele Sowore of African Action Congress (AAC); Olufela Durotoye of the Alliance for New Nigeria (ANN), and Kingsley Moghalu, the Young Progressive Party (YPP) candidate, Nicolas released a message thanking Nigerians for giving him the opportunity not just to contest, but to be in a third place after Atiku Abubakar , who came second.
“I will not fail to express a resounding gratitude to everyone that saw this political process through. Truly, we have been able to show every observer from the international community, to purported political bigwigs and 'GodFathers', even to the poor masses that must have lost faith in the process that power indeed belongs to the people.
“As the election results collated by INEC continue to trickle in we realise that indeed despite so many anomalies, there is a progressive adjustment in paradigm. As the electoral process advances to other stages that will include state elections as well as litigations to iron-out the anomalies of the whole process, we will get to see clearly, how well we have come from yesteryears.
“This is a huge step out of dark ages into the age of enlightenment; civic and social awareness. My congratulations go to every young Presidential Candidate who made it this far, Ahmed Buhari, Omoyele Sowore, Kingsley Moghalu, Chike, Fela, Emmanuel, Alistair, Eunice, Dare Fagbemi…..I wish to reiterate that the reason for holding a public office at any level is to effectively provide a sustainable progress in the country of which the people will benefit. The people; the pinnacle of our service.
“To every Nigerian, I once again tender my appreciation for your unwavering support to myself and as well as my co-aspirants. We have definitely stepped closer to an inevitable political liberation,” he said in his message.

Nicolas’ excitement might be expected. Who would have thought that a man who was not seen going from one state to the other in campaign rallies could beat 70 candidates, many of whom embarked on visits to monarchs to drive home their political messages or those who went from one tertiary institution to another with the belief that the youth of the country, in population, held the key to who would emerge president? He scored a total of 110,196 votes far ahead of the other contestants aside Buhari and Atiku. For example, he defeated his closest rivals, Obadiah Mailafia of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) and John Gbor from the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), with 12,322 votes. The two scored 97,874 and 66,851 votes respectively.

As shown in the breakdown of the results announced by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) , Yusuf Yabagi, the presidential candidate of the Action Democratic Party (ADP), scored 54,930 votes to come sixth in the contest; Chukwuma Eke of Grassroots Development Party of Nigeria (GDPN) was seventh with 41,852 votes; while Ibrahim Hassan, the flag bearer of the African Peoples Alliance (APA) came eighth after polling 36,866 votes. Donald Duke, a former governor of Cross River state and candidate of the Social Democratic Party (SDP), came ninth with 34,746 votes.

Among the trio of Moghalu, Durotoye and Sowore, the latter was the only candidate that made the first 10 winners in the election after scoring 33,953. Moghalu, a professor and former top official of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) polled 21,886 while Durotoye, a motivational speaker scored 16,779 votes.

Some analysts, however, maintain that the acronym of his party gave him such victory as many unenlightened Nigerian voters may have seen the PCP to stand as the PDP especially since one came just on top of the other on the ballot paper. To these people, the PCP ended up shortchanging the PDP of some votes. It could not be verified if this was part of the plan by the PCP to rise above the many other parties which took part in the exercise.

Ahead of the Saturday presidential election, two presidential candidates, Dr. Nicolas Felix and Barrister Chuks Nwachukwu, presidential candidates of the Peoples Coalition Party (PCP) and the All Grassroots Alliance (AGA) respectively, have dropped out of the race in support of the candidacy of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Atiku Abubakar.

They announced their endorsement of Atiku at a press conference in Abuja Tuesday, stating that the former Vice President had demonstrated sufficient willingness to address the multi-faceted challenges facing the nation.

The two candidates said that they resolved to work with Atiku after getting the permission of their teeming supporters to do so.

The PCP candidate said Atiku if elected would bring the nation back on its feet, saying of all the candidates, he has what it takes to make a positive difference in the lives of Nigerians if given the opportunity.

“I have been able to identify amongst my fellow presidential candidates a man of undeniable political and business exploits whose track records and ideals align vividly to what we believe in, to make Nigeria work again’’, he stated.

“Therefore, considering specific political parameters involved in our fight against nepotism, injustice, abuse of the rule of law, as well as economic decline, we must take a stand in the general election. Today as presidential candidates we are joining the team of progressive to do the needful for the development of Nigeria as a nation.

“After careful consideration and several meetings among some presidential candidates, I Dr. Nicolas Felix, the presidential candidate of Peoples Coalition Party, PCP, together with Barrister Chucks Nwachuku, the Presidential Candidate of All Grassroots Alliance (AGA), are officially and enthusiastically declaring our support for the Presidential Candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar.’’

Urging all his supporters and millions of youths across the country, as they go to the polls, to vote for Atiku, Felix said that what motivated him to drop out of the race, was borne of the need for a great Nigeria for all.

On his part, Nwachukwu questioned the integrity of President Muhammadu Buhari-led administration, stressing that in the guise of an anti-corruption fight, the nation had been subjected to democratic infractions in the past four years.

“As has been the case throughout our history, in the name of fighting corruption; we have been served in the past four years, like prisoners in our land, the odious meal of destruction of our institutions through nepotism and inflection of institutional culture to achieve narrow, malicious ends.

‘’The judiciary, the most sacred of our institutions, has been the latest victim – stripped naked of its dignity and self-confidence in the market square,” he stated.
