Most times I do come across post on job employment with a b.sc in chemistry with nairalanders sharing the various opinions . So today I’ve got a solution to all that .
Chemistry is a very lucrative course with a lot of prospects .chemistry is a 4 year programme study as a course in tertiary institutions in Nigeria and across the globe.It has a professional body called chemical society of Nigeria and a student body called students chemical society of Nigeria. chemistry is a course that is very captivating and interesting. chemistry itself is science and science is life. Pospects of studying this wonderful course are;
1. Self employed;
Yes,you can be self employed by doing things like soap making, cream making, oil manufacturing e.t.c these are businesses that you can start with a little amount and then resulting into something large
2. Analytical chemist;
Analytical chemists use their skills and expertise to analyse substances, identify what components are present and in what quantities, as well how these components may behave and react with one another. This can include the analysis of drugs, food and other products to determine effectiveness, quality and to ensure they are safe for human consumption or use
3. Chemistry teacher; Chemistry teachers work in schools passing on their knowledge of chemistry to the next generation, following a set curriculum and helping their students to pass and excel in their school examinations.
4. Pharmacologist;
Pharmacologists undertake the development and testing of drugs, analysing how they interact with biological systems. This is essential for ensuring that drugs are effective and safe for human use, and may involve the testing of drugs on animals or on human volunteers. Pharmacology roles are often lab-based and may involve non-standard hours in order to monitor ongoing experiments
5. Chemical engineer;
Chemical engineers are involved the the design and development of new products from raw materials. They use their knowledge of chemical properties and reactions to transform materials from one state to another, for example making plastic from oil.

Geochemists study the physical and chemical properties of the Earth, particularly rocks and minerals.

They use their expertise to identify harmful chemical components in the air, water or soil, evaluate the danger they present and coordinate their removal and containment.

1 Eating variety of food ;
We need to eat various kind of food that are well balanced and nutritious to the body in order to have good health
2 Base your diets on plenty of food rich in carbohydrates;
Carbohydrates are very essential to the body as it produces the glucose which gives us energy . It also help in reducing fats.
3 Replace saturated with unsaturated ;
Unsaturated fatty acids are best for use in cooking ,baking .over abundance of saturated fatty acid gives bad cholesterol.Examples of unsaturated fatty acid are coconut oil,soyabean oil,fatty fish e.t.c.
4 Enjoy plenty of fruit and vegetable;
This are very essential due to the fact that they give vitamin to the body .we all know what vitamin does;helps in forming red blood cells,helps in building the tissue e.t.c.
5 Reduce salt and sugar intake ;
It reduces heart diseases
6 Eat regularly and control the portion size and also eat early.
7 Drink plenty of fluid (e g water); It helps in DIGESTION and also help in regulating the body temperature
8 Maintain a healthy body weight by exercising ,eating well and also sleeping well
9 Think positive ,avoid worries and focus on gratitude (ONYEOMA).

Plant are living organism that helps in the survival of man and other living organism ,they also help in the growth of animal ,source of shelter , to man.we are going to look into the five importants of plant listed above.
MAN SURVIVAL
PLANTS are also living things that depend on air for survival. They breathe in carbon di oxide and breathe out oxygen which is used by man for survival through a process called respiration[gaseous exchange]without plants in the aspects of respiration man has no life. plants produce the oxygen which we breathe and remove large amount of carbon di oxide given out all organisms .PLANTS also converts the energy of the sun into forms which we require to live. GROWTH OF MAN AND ANIMAL
PLANTS serves as a source of food to man and also to animal .Man feeds on different kind of plants ,like tuber crops ,legumes, cereals, grains ,e.t. c .while animals have different kind of feeding which are the carnivorous ,herbivorous, omnivorous ,the major one that depend on plant are the herbivorous ;these are animal that depends on plant for survival ,they mainly feed on plants examples are goats ,rams ,cow e .t .c. while the rest either feed on already made foods for example [hen, pig ,cats ]e.t. c. Or they feed on other animals for example [lion ,tiger ,hare ,zebra e .t. c.]through taking in of the produce of plants man and animal grow effectively.
SOURCE OF PROTECTION.
WHEN we were young during festive period like the new yam festival and so on .we face masquerade paraded during these festival we try protecting our selves by making a solution of the cocoyam [Colocasia esculenta ] to be used as an attacker .this solution itches badly when it touches the skin.Some PLANTS are also used as a source of security example is the exotic YUCCA plants [Agave sisalana]is used to fortify fences of houses as an added security. this is because of its leaf which has a lignified terminal sharp spine

This is one of the major problems facing the undeveloped countries most especially the third world countries. Most times air pollution has lead to the death of humans ,animal and also destruction of plants .
Pollutants.
These are any substance high enough in the atmosphere to cause damage to the atmosphere. pollutants either come from man made sources or natural sources. natural sources are majorly particulate matter e.g dust while some man made sources include; emission from industry ,car exhausts ,coal combustion e.t.c.
Damages caused by pollutant.
• Death of living things
• Depletion of the ozone layer
• Change in climatic condition
• Inhaling harmful gases
• Unwanted diseases and infections
• Some of these gases are highly carcinogenic(causes cancer).
• Famine
Most developed countries have various standard and organization set up to curb pollution on the environment. most green house gases causes pollution ;examples includes
• SO2(sulphur di oxide)
• CO2(carbon di oxide)
• NO2(nitogen di oxide)
• 03(ozone)
• CH4 (methane)
lets also take note:pollution occur indoor majorly through the use of cooking gas.let also try to adapt to clean cooking stoves which helps in reducing pollution in our homes'
