Nollywood actress Victoria Inyama has claimed that her colleague in the movie industry Uche Maduagwu, who recently came out as gay, is either seeking attention or battling a mental health issue.

The actress, who presently resides in the United Kingdom, doesn’t seem to believe that Uche is actually gay as he had said. She claims the whole idea might be caused by poverty or a way of the actor trying to garner publicity for his project.

The All Progressives Congress (APC) has described as abnormal the naming of Ring road 3 after the late first indigenous governor of Akwa Ibom State, Otuekong Idongesit Nkanga.

Gov Emmanuel had on Friday named the Ring road 3 which is still under construction after late Air Commodore Nkanga (rtd).

The road is a 9.5 km dual carriage that links the Nsukara Offot axis of Nwaniba Road with the Nung Oku axis of Aka Nung Udoe Road.

The Code of Conduct Bureau (CCB) has summoned the sole administrator of the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC), Effiong Akwa over alleged failure to declare assets.

In a letter addressed to Akwa by the CCB and dated January 13th, the agency asked him to appear on Thursday, February 11.

A 22-year-old American who lives in California, Bjonda Haliti has published the strategy she adopted which helped her survive COVID-19. Bjonda said she apparently contracted Coronavirus at a bar and developed symptoms about five days later.

She said the first symptom she had was mild dry cough which was followed by sore throat and extreme tiredness at nights. All is not well in the National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS) led by Comrade Bamidele Danielson. The crack in the leadership of the association was revealed in a strong-worded letter directed to the NANS President, Bamidele from Comrade Etinyene Friday Offongekpe who is the Coordinator NANS Zone B.

In the letter sent to FIRST REPORTS, Comrade Offongekpe decried the alleged impersonation of some executives of NANS allegedly orchestrated by the President.

"It's so terrible that Bamidele Danielson led NANS can not draft at least one-page letter stating what kind of skills and the modus operandi that will be needed to assist Nigerian students.

"He thought we are all foolish like him since he is not legitimate academic student with reg number and examination record, he is not aware that FG had made mandatory provision of skills for Nigerian students through entrepreneurship education in all tertiary institutions, so going again to expose his ignorance before the presidency is another slap on all Nigerian students.

Former Nigerian Minister of Aviation, Mr. Femi Fani-Kayode has explained why Iran shot a Ukrainian passenger plane that killed all 176 persons onboard. The hapless plane crashed shortly after taking off from Imam Khomeini International Airport in Tehran.

Canada, which had 57 citizens on board, and the United States both said they believed an Iranian missile brought down the aircraft although they said it was probably an accident, Reuters report.
