Jobs/Vacancies / Re: Apply For 2019 NNPC Graduate Trainee And Experience Hire by victoremah(m): 10:05am On Mar 19, 2019
Finally uploaded my passport.

What did I experience?

Before I applied for mine, I was able to upload someone's photo on Friday last week by snapping with my phone (16 + 5 MP camera). I thereafter changed the background to pure white and defined the size (to about 140kb) and dimensions (600px X 600px) using Photoshop in a laptop. The photo uploaded one hand. However when I tried doing same with mine on Sunday, the methods failed. I wore a black T-Shirt, I am dark in complexion but the photo was very clear. It failed. I tried resizing below 40kb, trying different image positions, yet it failed all attempts. I used a ash colored T-Shirt (sorry I suck at colors, I only do white, ash and black and something around that), it failed, I tried with light blue/white check t-shirt, it failed again even after several attempts. I downloaded all suggested mobile software on this thread, it failed their products. I then saw Photoshop Express on Google Play, I downloaded it, I snapped with a red/black t-shirt and off-white background, I cropped the photo with Photoshop Express and specified the dimension as required. I did not edit the background. The photo uploaded with success so faster than I could believe.

My conclusion?

I think the software used in scanning the photos has color blindness grin and as such must see a very clear defining color (not the ash, black or light blue etc.) in addition to the size and dimensions.

My imperfect opinion it is!

Who's your sauce sir?

I thought it was announced to everyone there. Well maybe not, one of the officials informed us within my corner. I really hope that's not true. I really do hope I didn't hear her well.

Guys,

I hope we're all done with the test and it's safe to talk about it.

Well, it wasn't easy for me. Some questions were poorly organized but that's not a problem.

The Quantitative definitely took my time, the so called Logical Reasoning which ended up being an extension of the quantitative extended my frustration. On the English, I wasted time further trying to find out how "Reticent" and "Loquacious" will help Seplat Wells to produce better. 1 minute left for me and I'm on the current affairs! Current Affairs? shocked I should have started with that! I only answered one question and pheew, it's over!

They said there'll be another written stage. Well, I understand HCP needs to make money from Seplat, but keeping another written test stage after this one is definitely inconsiderate of those traveling from outside Lagos. They could have just added one more hour and add those questions that would be given in the so said next stage.

What's my own sef. No be job I dey find?

I'm surprised at the message I received from Shell having completed the entire stage 1 assessments. How can this happen?

"The deadline has now passed for Stage 1 of your Shell application and, since we haven’t yet received your completed assessments, you have now been withdrawn from the process."

Upon seeing that mail I then decided to try the on demand test the second time and here is what I found as attached

After the online interview were you able to upload the recordings successfully? Did you receive an acknowledgement mail from them? It is obvious they did not receive the interview recordings.

but i still haven't received the mail with link to do this on demand video interview..sent them my complaints with 5 mails already no reply

Hi,

Have you checked your spam folder yet? All of my friends who claimed non reception of the link actually discovered they went into the mails spam box.

Okay. Thanks guys for sharing your experiences here. Five days after my cognitive test I have finally done my Hirevue online Interview. It was really interesting and I hope for good news to come out of it. Keep the spirit guys, let's not be totally pessimistic, I believe some people will win this offer regardless. Cheers! wink
