After shouting and calling people I know, they brought it back, and it started reading three times more. you won't understand. I bought solar inverter 700k, last year, I was still using NEPA light to charge it. Sometimes I go use gen because sun no dey come out during rainy season. Since yester it has been raining, no light, but I have inverter, but na gen I dey use. You won't understand, I have alot of clients, I need to deliver my projects every 24 hrs, any interruption with electricity ruined my life. My desktop is an expensive one, my Rtx 3070 chops power like madt, explaining all these things is long story. The bottom line is I have tried everything possible. If you think solar is that good, why don't Americans who do it disconnect their electricity and use solar? Nothing beats normal electricity

house is almost the same price here in Nigeria. I had a friend who told me that house costs 8000 KES for a self con, which is about 28500 naira here, and that's about 350k for a self-contained. In Lagos houses go for about 600k. I don't see house as expensive paradise n Nairobi unless there is something else hidden? Where I am living currently is about 67,000 naira a month which is about 19,000 KES or 20,000 KES on a max. Going to Jumia, a gas cooker is about 23,000 KES. It's almost same price in Nigeria.

My friend recently bought a car from a friend. The guy later sent him all documents but there was no custom duty of this car. He only shared him receipt of purchase, which was done in Abuja. After he asked the guy for custom duty papers, he said they never gave it to him. And he has already paid money and even done repairs on this car.


Is there any way to know if the duty was paid?

What you should be bothered about here is the health of the engine and transmission. I don't know how to diagnose codes but from the looks of that car, I would pick it fast. Contact Gazzuzz or any other trusted mech to interpret those codes and cost implication of repairs because cars are only going to get waaaaaaay more expensive within a month, spending a few thousands now on repairs will be a good steal

For Toyota vehicles it will be abnormal to see a used car without these codes.
For most people they don't affect performance and they are easy to fix.

I'm not a car guru but from what you have described I think it's a going to be a good buy at that price, they problems the scanner showed can be taken care of by a good technician. However, from the VIN check the last odometer is 168k miles, so it was definitely rolled back when it got to Nigeria in 2018.
You can go with a second trusted mechanic today to do your final checks before payment.
