i think i just wanted to put something on nairaland, considering the fact that it is long ( since 2007) when i last visited this site.

@ OSAMA10, it is just an ordinary EXPERIENCE PRODUCTION OPERATOR, I dont think i need the job, because i cannot leave a job i joined with HND for an OND job. maybe because it is experience position, i thaught i can negotiate for a higher pay. i love the AMERICAN GIANT MORE, except TOTAL can buy me with a higher pay, which i know is not possible except for a CPO or higher position.

I am confused, TOTAL invited me for Experience Production Operator next week and i am offshore. i cant make it b/c i just resumed after observing 3 months at home due to sick leave. i value my job because my company is as good as TOTAL. the invitation is below.

i understand how u feel, but i have never forced anyone to pay me money for anything. it is not a crime to pay for services rendered, afterall u paid tuition fees from primary to university level,u that is looking for free things, pls go to FREETOWN and u will see that nothing is free there.

i can remember that i am not the only one who collected money for halliburton questions. somebody (name witheld) did the same for his A-level questions that did not make sense. i also called somebody here in nairaland who claimed he has materials for FOREX trading and he demanded for money.

The questions u wrote for LWD was given to some people by me. i was only not sure of which question to come that is why i gave out three different halliburton questions.

For this chevron, it is not a written test but a computer simulation proccess flow control assessment. so i am not begging anybody. i know u were not invited, but if u were invited just go and try ur best.

The community leaders being refered to are for those that applied through their community. such communities are 1. the Ijaw global M.O.U, 2 the Itsekiri global M.O.U, 3.the Ilaje global M.O.U, 4. Lekki community in lagos, 5. some of the villages in Rivers State, Bayelsa State and Delta state where chevron operate.


If u are not from any of these communities, then u must be very lucky to be shortlisted.
Now, the test will hold in Wellington Hotel, along PTI - ughelli expressway warri, Delta state between monday 28th january and something around 14th feb. and it is in alphabetical order of surname.

If ur surname starts with alphabet A then u will write ur test b/w 28 to 30th.
if u tell me ur surname i can guess the days u are likely to write. But i advise u to come over and check at the hotel i.e if u are not from any of the communities listed above

Chevron Nigeria limited has started inviting candidates for the operator and maintenance technician trainee that was advertised b/w 27th aug. and 28th sept. 2007.

I just received an e-mail from them, the test date is 31st january, while my friend will write on 30th january.

so check ur e-mail.

I am invited for the 2nd stage GT test at illupeju on saturday 12th. i received their text message on 10th at about 7.30 pm and i stay in warri delta state, so i don't think i can make it especially when i don't have anywhere around illupeju to pass the night.

Although i have no information on the format, my advise is just zero your mind,as could pass the 1st test, u can still pass this one. remember the 1st test was not expected, i suspect NBC set new question all the time.

@ RANBAXY, I was invited for my srd, a day before the interview proper. i was called 6.15 pm and i got to shell yard by 9.00 pm the same day. although there was a mistake in my e-mail address, so they call me on phone and asked me to correct it, and to go and check my mail and start coming to them as i was scheduled for 6.45 am the next morning. check your box now, if there is no negative mail, then expect a call anytime. the srd continues.

@ Robbie lex. medicals for sitp technical will be january. Both successful and non successful candidates will receive e-mail but successful ones only will also be called on phone.

my interview was in warri on 28th nov., to inform u all, the petroleum engineers did their srd for technical graduate recruitment on 28, 29 and 30th november. the program will start in the month of march and 120 candidates will be selected from 300 that was shortlisted. this is according to my facilitator.

Congrats man, i join u in thanking God and i also call on every one to join me too because we share the same faith.
i graduated in August 2003 and i got job for the first time in 2007, september to be precise.

I think lagos guys wrote this test on 24th and no reply for us that are writing in benin on 28th. Well the message was sent via sms and email, and credentials will be thoroughly screened so i don't advice gatecrashers to show up.
But if u are qualified for the position, ie B.Sc with 2.1 in one of the advertised courses and O level in one sitting, try to get an email forwarded to ur box , and try gate crashing.

Oceanic Bank Also take HND. I was with their staff yesterday and he has HND, Although he claimed to have upper credit. But most of these banks employment is based on recommendation, as he told me.

It is impossible to meet ur employer at the fair, because we will be informed before time, whichever establishment that will interview us on that day. I don't think any reasonable person will attend an interview that was arranged for him and his employer.

I believe Okejas is talking of the second stage test for TFE-CPT which was held on the 17th of april.

I did the test and still hoping, it is still less than 4 weeks so there is hope

@ linds, Don't gate crash, u can still apply now. Go to their website, www.peopleprime.net and apply. just click on july 2007 fair and fill the form that will open. Then they will invite u before the fair, if u were not invited, then u can now gate cash. my test is 22nd may, in PH. so there is still time to invite u.

What i suggest that we should expect in the discussion is normal interview, such as
1. Talk about urself.
2. What are ur grearest strenght and weakness.
3. What are u doing presently and what can u do.
4. They will ask u some certain questions about what u said, depending on what is in ur cv and ur experiences u acquired at work or industrial training if no experiences.
