pls am currently serving in katsina nd part of the stream 2 still in camp. I tink it is fair if we Nairalanders who are currently in camp in katsina state can meet up and get to know each other before leaving camp on d 13th. so any one with suggestion on how we meet should share because me am interested in meeting my fellow NLanders.

Not to boast, I graduated the best in my department 2014, in a federal university of technology in the north. I was told to my face I can't be retained cos I'm an Igbo. So what's the fuse. The people who go around throwing bombs wear the hijab. Its only logical for people to be hostile towards you putting on the hijab. That has got to change though if Nigeria is to move forward. But ranting about nothing making you ever to go to the east, Igbos feel the same way too. Nigeria has always been divided ethnically, religiously, and otherwise. It didn't start from where you experienced it. Where did omo ibo originate from? Enyamiri nko?

But again i am not a Northerner, but my Service in the East was really enjoyable,even if i had to be battling with Scorpions that crawled into my room in the village i served nearly everyday.

I was treated real nice in the East.

Funny Story: So the first day we Corps Members reported to the school we were to teach, at the assembly line that morning, all we kept hearing was HOLY GHOST FIRE, HOLY GHOST FIRE in the morning devotion at the School, as the prayers was conducted in the Ibo Dialect.

Later one of the female Corper who was an Easterner now informed us that the prayers was for us the male corpers.

And that if we had plans on getting any student pregnant then HOLY GHOST FIRE.

besides while on my way to kano i shouted JESUS UNCONCIOUSLY BT QUIETLY. The muslim lady strted talking in hausa. The word she repeated after dt is kafiya...jst askd the corpers here they said it means infidel. now imagine a stranger doing that in the night...we all know that extremism is high here

All pcms waited patiently for 19th january,,2017,,,alas,,,our call up letter came up and out of excitement,,we logged into nysc portal and checked for our respective deployed areas,,, I was posted to enugu,,,i started preparing all needed documents,,,for the compulsory medical report,,,i went to FMC owerri today to process and collect it,,,i got it succesfully,,,now the real story starts
Coming back from owerri to aba,,,we were close to owerrinta,,our sienna commercial bus failed brakes,,,the driver was trying to control the steering,,we were very much afraid,,,all we did was shout JESUS,,JESUS,,,infront of our bus was a trailer,,,as we were about to hit the trailer,,(i said my last prayers atm),,,the bus miraculously swerved to the bush and halted...I can't stop thanking GOD,,He's faithful,,
On the other hand,,i call on FRSC to conduct a through check on commercial vehicles plying different routes of the country,,,we later found out that the car had so many problems like poor tyres and other stuffs prior to when we left and the driver took the risk to carry passengers just because of money,,its that pathetic,,fellow pcms,,,thank GOD for me

Its easier for those coming from the south to drop at Kaduna then proceed to katsina then coming down to Kano first.

The distance BTW Kano and Kaduna is more than the distance BTW katsina and Kaduna. So coming to Kano before proceeding to Katsina is Totally absolutely a waste of money and time... Which are the two resources that are very valuable to us now.
