Hi All,

I trust you great! This is to motivate an individual out there.

Profile:

So I recently got my approval. All thanks to God. Inputs from this platform cannot be underrated as well.

Medicals was done upfront Oct. 26th, 2018
Application was submitted Nov. 16th, 2018
Biometrics followed Nov 19th, 2018.
Approval popped in Dec. 14th, 2018.
School: RMIT (AL1 Institution)

So; I simply submitted all documents required using the evidentiary document checklist tool. *Nothing Extra* Please, see link below.
https://immi.homeaffairs.gov.au/visas/web-evidentiary-tool

In all, please, take time out in writing a very catching GTE (Statement of Purpose/Intent). This I believe have a great impact on one's application. Watch out for grammatical errors, wrong usage of words and above all, make sure you express yourself in your statement. Your passion and motivation driving you must be felt by the case officer *you must be articulate about it*. Thanks to @Nogara on this this one. He gave his input on mine.

Great to be part of this family. Please, never hesitate to buzz up if you need any clarification on your application. I am still learning; but will sure try my best in giving response to the best of my knowledge.

Cheers!

Congrats brother.

We will all smile.

Hello guyz.

One thing I understand is that, we need to hasten up and get this PR, cos the more time flies, the harder it becomes to cross a good threshold. Back in 2016, my close pal got 189 with just 65 points.

Now I am just thinking the minimum point I need to scale thru for either 189 or 190.

I want to go for Telecommunications Engineer.
I am 28 and single
I have 3 yes work experience, but I might find it hard to price it since its been as a contract staff.
I have written my English test but is not in d 20 mark.

Pls how many points do I need to guarantee 189 or 190 respectively.

Quick response pls.

Thanks guyz

The only scholarship I know to give all these is the Australian Government Scholarship to some Developing Countries. But there is a Bond attached to it yo return to your home country upon completion

Okay guys, i have a peculiar question.

My sponsor is my brother but he is not residing in nigeria. He is a US naval officer. Will his statement of account in the US fly coupled with his letter of sponsorship?

Secondly, the last time i was denied a visa was sometimes in 2005, about 13yrs ago. Do i need to indicate this as it was a looooong time ago and not recent. I just finished secondary school back then.

Sure your brother can sponsor you..as far as you guys share same surname and there is proof. He should also notarize the documents he is sending to you.

Even if the visa denial was 20yrs ago, u still need to indicate and mention it both in school admission application and visa application.

As a US Naval Officer, his statement should be fat enough that Dept. Of Home Affairs won't resist in giving you visa.

All the best

Visa grant with husband as dependent didn’t use an agent after lots of discouragement. We took the bold step of faith. Didn’t apply with d agent who help get d admission applied on our own I made my sop detail expressing myself as much as I could . Financial statement was above 15million.with two children and tie to home country and also returning to family business as a returns for the amount a.m. sending. Came as a shock am so happy . Plus don’t lie in anyways and didn’t contact the embassy before the grant to avoid looking desperate

Some good news. Congrats buddy

Is it ok to give information about previous visa refusal of my sibling/parent, or about visas that they currently hold? Or is it too much information?

If they are joining you to Australia, the u need to mention all previous and present visa info about them..

if they are not accompanying u, just mention their names in the appropriate section and upload their birth certificates

If I was in your situation, I will either certify those documents rename (Certified Documents) and reattach them or I will just let it be and hope for the best.

Attach all your documents into one single PFD file and upload as other-documents on your immiaccount.

Pls quick one..

To certify the documents, it will be a photocopy of my certificate that I Will certify right?

And can any lawyer sign and stamp for using his seal..or must I take the documents to a high court?

Thanks as I await ur reply

It is recommended you certify your documents by a Lawyer, justice of peace or of you are in Abuja, you may want to ring Australian High Commission to see if they do it. I suppose they may charge you more.

Certifying your documents gives your case officer one less stress to worry about how genuine your documents are.

OK..

But pls, since I have already submitted by application and paid, what can I do in this case..

Getting a lawyer to certify my documents won't be a problem cos my elder bro is one.

What do u advise I do, don't wanna leave any loop hole

Good day fam.....have submitted my application already and am getting married in Dec. I didn't add my spouse name to my visa application because we don't have d marriage certificate yet since our registry is meant to hold somewhere around November while our traditional is to hold by December. Now am worried because I don't know if it would affect my spouse joining me as a dependent in future, although my agent said we would just fill form 1022 along with the marriage certificate once d visa is out since d marriage took place after d visa was submitted/issued. Please I need more clarification on this.
Thanks

Hello people in the house... there is something that has been coming to mind lately and I have decided to seek for advice...

I resigned from my previous job this year Jan... went for a professional training between April and August this year... while applying for my VISA, I stated there that I had stopped working and currently just finished a training in August (I applied for VISA after that period)... now between August and Now, i have just been doing personal jobs...no official employment...

I am having a feeling that the DIBP could ask me for proof of employment or ask for what i have been up to since i resigned from my professional job in Jan...

Please guys, what is the best thing to say or do if that eventually comes up... NB: I submitted the certificate from the training along with my application... but what if they still ask for what I have been doing as the training wasnt a paid training... Please gurus in the house help...

Gurus kindly help out.

For me, If the training is inline with ur chosen course to which you're travelling to Aussie for, it will rather be an advantage.

So just keep calm and expect the best.

Meanwhile I am about submitting my visa app, but my passport na Virginia... Someone told me to go and collect ghana visa stamp which includes Togo and Benin too..

What do u all say....does ghana visa count?

Medicals: did mine at IOM Ikeja.. you'll have to book an apointment with them before going tho... then there is another one on the Island 'Dr Fatai Williams' or so... in all, just google 'Australian Immigration Medical centers in Lagos' and follow the thread...

As for the Police clearance, you'll have to go to Alagbon Police Station in Ikoyi, Lagos... and ask for where you can get ur police character clearance done or ask for the ASP's office and talk to him like someone referred you to him wink.. I paid 5k and got it in less that an hour.

Cheers..

Many thanks bro.

Wondering if the police station at algbon opens on saturdays so that I can go do it today.

Have a chat with the Austransaction team and you might get a bargain. Contact them on WhatsApp. They are sure the fastest.

Ok..I hope they are legit?

And besides their exchange rate is high 1AUD=270NGN and they charge 20K again.
