Former Miss Anambra, Chidinma Okeke, has spoken on the sex scandal that nearly ruined her life few months back.

There have been different versions of what transpired between the embattled 20-year-old beauty queen and the organisers of the pageant.

Recall that Chidinma Okeke, a former beauty queen was seen in an x-rated video with a lesbian partner.

Chidinma Okeke, who won the Miss Anambra beauty pageant, organised by the Anambra Broadcasting Service, ABS, has remained incommunicado.

She reportedly went into hiding due to alleged threat to her life.

But Okeke has finally broken her silence, she spoke In an interview with The Nation, debunking claims that she threatened to commit suicide.

Narrating her own side of the story, the former beauty queen said, “Early last year, the ABS advertised for the Miss Anambra beauty pageant. I heard of it and went to make enquiry.

“My roommate was also interested, but one of the organisers told me to apply. I told them I was not interested but the man insisted that I might win the competition.

“He also promised to give me the form for free if I indicated interest, and he did when I agreed to contest.

“But one Jane told me that before a winner would be declared, there were certain things to be done, including the (sex) video.

“I consented after some persuasion from the organisers. I later went for the contest at the Marble Arch Hotels in Awka, and I was declared winner with a Kia Rio vehicle as star prize.

“When I went for my car after the contest, the organisers brought out a contract form for me to sign, but I told them I wanted to contact my lawyer to see it. I was not given the opportunity to do so.

“What they kept telling me was that if I insisted on not signing the contract or wanted to contact my lawyer, they would release the video.

To those who don't see the idiocy in the call for boycott of elections in the South-East let me break it down in crayon terms...

1. Elections don't hold
2. Obiano's tenure expire
3. The FG appoints a sole administrator
4. He has military backing and he has unfettered access to destroying the only state that works in Igbo Land
5. They use Anambra as a launching pad to decimate the entire Southeast


Or....

1. Elections hold eventually for the few that reject the boycott
2. Results are declared based on the few that voted
3. The elected persons will obviously not be people amenable to the Biafran Struggle
4. They still govern the entirety of Anambra vote or not.
5. Such a person will be 'grateful' to the FG for granting him such high honours

On the call itself, reversing it now will show entire IPOB as being weak, flippant and unstrategic. Continuing will bring about option A or B above.

For those who fail to understand, we still live in Nigeria and are governed by Nigerian Laws. It is still an offense to deny people their constitutional rights, in this case, disenfranchisement.

This time Nnamdi Kanu may be legitimately jailed and no member of the international community will interfere. Universal Suffrage is a Universal Right pushed by almost all laws in the world. No government will support you for even half a second. Disenfranchisement is one way the struggle will instantly lose legitimacy.

There was shout of joy at the Abakaliki Township Stadium, Abakaliki on Thursdays when Governor David Umahi of Ebonyi State announced the birth of a baby during a state launcheon party for elders and widows in the state by his administration. The baby arrived just minutes before the governor called out about 1,710 widows to be empowered by the government as part of the efforts to lessen their burden. An elated Umahi drew his wife, Rachel close to him and named the new born girl, Rachel Mgborie David, a combination of the names of his wife and himself. Umahi, according to a statement on Friday by his Chief Press Secretary, Emma Anya, advised that the mother of the baby girl , Regina Patrick, should add the name of her late husband as the surname of the baby. Immediately, he announced a donation of N1m to baby Rachel and directed his Senior Special Assistant on Religious Matters and the Chairman Christian Association of Nigeria, Ebonyi State chapter, Very Rev. Father Abraham Nwali, to open an account for the baby with the money.

Regina Patrick,one of the 1,710 widows drawn from the all the political wards in the state, lost her husband six months ago. Umahi said, "There is a woman whom I was told gave birth in this celebration ground and as I was deliberating with my wife on how Jesus wife should be pregnant, they said she took in before her husband died six month's ago.

"We will give that child a name. Her name will be be four, Rachel Mgborie David plus her late dad's name. Rev Father Nwali will use the sum of N1m to open an account for the child."

The governor also offered scholarship to her from secondary school to university levels, saying, "If it pleases God that we are in power after her schooling, wherever we are, we will make her enjoy scholarship for secondary and university".

The Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Matters, Barr. Samuel Okoronkwo, who coordinated the programme,which is part of the activities marking Umahi's two years in office and the 2017 Democracy Day celebrations, was full of gratitude to God for his mercies. He said that the widow and the baby were taken to the hospital.

In an Interview on Friday at the Federal Teaching Hospital, Mrs. Patrick from Amagu Izzi in Abakaliki Local Government Area, said that both her and her baby were in stable condition. She explained that she did not get any sign of the baby's arrival when she arrived Abakaliki until 2pm when she started noticing some changes and decided to rush to any nearby hospital. The lady was full of praises for the governor and his wife for their kind gesture and prayed God to promote them to a higher level. She said, "We went to the stadium because they told us to go there that governor wants to see the widows and it was by 2pm that I started having pains. I was was trying to go to hospital but when we were about to come out , there was big traffic and I gave birth there. "They told me that governor and his wife gave my baby N1 million and gave her scholarship. I am so happy because of how God remembered me through the governor and his beautiful wife. I am thanking him and his wife and I am praying that God will elevate them more.". While she confirmed that her husband died six month's ago, she revealed that she has five children. Her first son, she said, was electrocuted not too long ago.

The commandant of OCHA BRIGADE, chief Kenneth Okonkwo is dead, APGA Interactive Forum media can confirm.

APGA Interactive Forum media on hearing the news called a member of his family who confirmed that Chief Okonkwo died this morning at an undisclosed hospital.

He had a fatal accident while returning from a wake keep of his friend who sells tire last night.

When we called his younger brother to confirm the news, he shouted at the caller, and dropped the call.

Late Kenneth Okonkwo was the commandant of OCHA BRIGADE and until his death was involved in many controversial deals.

The British High Commissioner to Nigeria,Mr Paul Arkwright,has commended Governor David Umahi of Ebonyi State for developing infrastructure in the state barely two years of his administration.
Arkwright,made the commendation during a state banquet organised in his honour by the state government in Abakaliki on Sunday night.
The High Commissioner who was on a working visit to the state,said he traveled on smooth roads into and within the state,describing the roads in Ebonyi as the best in the South-East.

“Ebonyi roads are the best in the South-East,” the envoy added in a statement on Monday by Umahi’s Chief Press Secretary, Emma Anya. ArkWright told the guests at the banquet that he was on the visit to look into the opportunities in agriculture,rice production and infrastructure in the state.
Describing Ebonyi as a young state, he pointed out that he was optimistic about its future. He promised that the United Kingdom would partner in realising the dream.
His words,” We are here to look into the opportunity in agriculture,rice production and infrastructure.
“As a young state, Ebonyi is quite optimistic to the future and the United Kingdom will be a partner to realizing the future.
“The United Kingdom is aware of the challenges of development in Africa and Nigeria in particular”.
Earlier, in his remarks, Governor Umahi had called on the British Government to help Africa,especially Nigeria.
“The British Government should move on to help Africa. Nigeria is the largest country in Africa. When you brought to us religion,we accepted it but you didn’t bring your technology. I think there is the need to develop your technology in Nigeria.
” I want to take that opportunity as you said and we want to partner you in the area of agriculture. We have a lot of mineral deposits like zinc,salt,lead and others. In fact, we are sitting on money.

According to her mum Mrs Ngozi Mkwazema a widow and a native of Emekuku in Imo state but living as a Tenant in Obazu Mbieri in Mbaitolu LGA. She gave her daughter’s name as chika an 11 year old girl and a primary 6 student.

It happens that on Saturday 20th around 8pm there was a fight between her children and that of her Co-Tenant which she gave her name as Mrs promise a mother of 3 and married to one Mr Obinna a Keke driver from Ebonyi state. When Miss Chika (the victim) came to separate the fight, Mrs promise started beating her and at the same time insulting her Mother. According to the girl “‘She started insulting my mother and calling my two big sisters prostitutes so I talked back to her and told her to stop insulting my family, she drag me to the public kitchen and poured hot water that my mum was Boiling on me.

According to her Mum, Mr Obinna and his wife promise are no where to be found and he is from Abakaliki in Ebonyi state.
