Below are words Nigerians use that don’t exist in the English dictionary:

1. Go-slow: When Nigerians say go-slow, they mean congested traffic, which is wrong. The meaning of go-slow in the English dictionary is, a form of industrial action in which work or progress is deliberately delayed or slowed down.

2. Disvirgin: This word is used on a daily basis by many Nigerians when they intend to say a woman has lost her virginity. There is no word like disvirgin. The correct word to use is deflower. Disvirgin simply does not exist.

3. Trafficate: Nigerians use the word to describe a situation where a driver indicates to other drivers that he/she wants to take a turn. It is used so often, that it has started to sound like proper English.

4. Flashing: Every Nigerian knows “flashing” to mean when someone calls your mobile phone and cuts off before you answer. The word ‘flash’ is so common among Nigerians and its used at least once daily by many. Flash hmedia

5. Installmentally: Don’t be tempted to use the word ‘installmentally’. Though it sounds correct, it isn’t. There is no such word in the English dictionary as it exists only in the Nigerian edition of English language. The correct thing to say is ‘in installments’.

6. Opportuned: What exists in English dictionaries is ‘opportune,’ without ‘d’ at the end. Opportune means ‘timely’ or ‘well-time, especially convenient or appropriate for a particular action or event. Opportuned is only common in Nigerian English.

So, divorce the idiot. And if you have evidence that he asked to take you to the shrine, the court will likely never allow him to have custody because he may take the children to swear before a juju priest.

The juju priest should be arrested because he has been planning to kill someone through the oath taking. No mercy for such a man.

Nasir el-Rufai, governor of Kaduna state, has blamed some people around President Muhammadu Buhari for the manner in which the memo he wrote to Buhari back in September was leaked.

In the 30-page document, el-Rufai told Buhari that the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) was leaving below expectation.

Making reference to Abba Kyari, chief of staff to the president, and Babachir Lawal, secretary to the government of the federation, the governor said some of the people around Buhari were not only selfish, but inexperienced.

Last month, el-Rufai had said he had no regrets about what he wrote, and that he felt less concerned if anyone was upset about the letter.

But speaking with state house correspondents after attending Jumat service with the president on Friday, el-Rufai said he had it on good authority that those around the president released the document.

“I am disappointed that a private communication to the highest office in the land can be leaked and it was leaked from the villa,” he said.

I'm told now by efcc sources that the money belongs to rotimi amaechi the minister of transportation. The house was built by alhaji muazu the former gov of bauchi state through a loan from gtb bank. He could not repay the loan so gtb took over the house and allocated the penthouse to muazu and two flats. Esther lives in one of the flats while rotimi amaechi bought 2 of the flats 7a and 7b. He then gave 7a to his girlfriend mo abudu the TV presenter. But the flat where the money was found belong to rotimi amaechi. The efcc is in an embarrassing situation now because the government or the villa was not alerted before the news broke out. Now the efcc is trying to do do damage control over the issue. Let's see how it goes. Very interesting.


Mu’azu ::::: I sold my Ikoyi house to pay bank loan…I know nothing about ‘recovered loot’

Adamu Mu’azu, former chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), says he knows nothing about monies found by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) at a property reported to be his in Ikoyi, Lagos.

On Wednesday, EFCC said it discovered $43.4m, £27,800 and N23.2m in a house in Ikoyi, Lagos, which was said to belong to the ex-PDP chairman.

Mu’azu, who was the governor of Bauchi state from 1999 to 2007, said he took a bank loan to acquire the land where the house was built, and eventually had to sell it to pay back the loan.

“My attention has been drawn to the news making the rounds that I own the building on No.16 Osborne Road, Ikoyi, Lagos. I want to state clearly that I built the said property and sold to prospective buyers of individual flats,” he said.

“I have been a property developer since 1983 and I have developed and sold several properties all over the world, the property in question happens to be one of them. I acquired the land and jointly develop it using a bank loan, I obtained about nine (9) years ago.
