Toks2008: President Buhari like the moses in the Bible was sent packing from the position of authority some years back but made a come back to be the leader.
This time around he did not come back with the background he was known for as a military man but as a civilian just like moses who was known to be part of pharaoh's household came back as an unassuming fellow to lead the Israelites out of Egypt to the promise land.
I don't know what anyone else believes but I strongly believe that President Buhari is the moses of our time that will lead us out of our Egypt experience, take us through the wilderness experience but may likely not enter the promise land with us. Now let's see the allegory;
In the life of every human or nation,there is always the Egypt experience,the wilderness experience before the promise land experience.
During the Egypt experience,the situation may seem OK but it is a disguised bondage but if you decide to leave your Egypt experience, you must be ready for a very tough wilderness experience that will make you wish you go back to Egypt.
The wilderness experience is a must for anyone or any nation desiring a promise land and those who prefer to create a comfort zone in their Egypt experience will never see the promise land.
The Buhari and Osinbanjo led government are like the Moses and Aaron of our time and the years we thought were OK in the Egypt experience only seem to be because we were in great bondage to leaders who looted our treasury with impunity while patting our heads with a ticking time bomb.
The years we thought we were OK in our Egypt experience were the years our leaders fed fat on the abundance inflow of good profits from our crude oil while throwing crumbs to the floor for us to feed on.
Like the Israelites who were already frustrated with their condition and needed a quick fix,their wilderness experience was tough and very discouraging which made them doubt the competence of Moses and Aaron and in like manner,Nigerians have gone through years of frustration and in need of a quick fix but unfortunately undergoing very very tough times which is a wilderness experience for us and this has made most Nigerians doubt the competence of President Buhari and vice president Osinbanjo.
The Israelites said to Moses and Aaron, "If only we had died by the LORD's hand in Egypt! There we sat around pots of meat and ate all the food we wanted, but you have brought us out into this desert to starve this entire assembly to death." Exodus 16:3
Yes like Moses and Aaron who made series of mistakes, it is expected for our leaders to make mistakes too but just as some Israelites persevered, prayed and supported Moses and Aaron which saw them to the promise land, let us pray and believe in the course of this seemingly "clueless" government and I'm positive that we shall get to the promise land.
Lastly, we must understand that Moses and Aaron started the journey with Israelites to the promise land but not even one of their generations who left Egypt entered the promise land but it was Joshua who eventually led the younger Israelites into it so in like manner, it just might be a Joshua who is yet unknown that will lead us to the promise land but the journey has begun and together we can channel a new course for the coming generation into a new Nigeria that will be the envy of the whole world.
Let us blame and curse less but be hopeful and let us support this government by offering viable advice and raising our voices in unity to ask questions if we are not OK with any government policy and together we will create a greater and better Nigeria for the generations to come because the journey from Egypt to the promise land will not happen overnight but we will surely get there.

bareal: President Mohammadu Buhari has secretly asked the leadership of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) to immediately investigate and prosecute a former governor of Rivers State who is also the Minister for Transportation, Mr. Rotimi Amaechi, over the $757 million (N80 billion Naira) that was allegedly found in his Bancorp Bank account in the United States of America.
It would be recalled that Mr. Rotimi Amaechi recently wrote to Bancorp Bank in Minnesota in the United States and claimed that the said $757 million Dollars domiciled in an account in his name was authorized by him in error from a Rivers State Government Account with Access Bank Plc.
But a source at the Presidency told Nigerian Concord Newspapers that President Buhari had personally called Amaechi several times to explain his roles In the alleged laundering.
According to the source, Mr. Amaechi’s explanation didn’t go down well with Buhari who vowed to ensure that he gets to the truth of the matter. It was gathered that the president this morning instructed the EFCC’s chairman, Mr. Magu, to secretly investigate Amaechi’s role and bring him to justice immediately his involvement is confirmed. Buhari’s action was a follow up to a letter that the bank wrote to the Presidency that it was ready to repatriate the said funds to Nigeria.
Buhari, it was gathered, is very angry with the Transportation Minister for lying in his two letters to the US bank another bank in Switzerland that all the monies found in his foreign accounts in the two countries were transferred in error from a Rivers State government account with Access Bank while he was governor of the state.
Amaechi’s letter to the US bank stated that the said transfers to both banks were for the purchase of security Helicopters, payments to a foreign company to combat malaria in Rivers state by using helicopters to spray mosquito insecticides, and for the purchase of an official residence for Mr. Rotimi Amaechi, in America. The letter further explains that the payments for the security helicopters, and mosquito insecticides to fight malaria were made through other sources, after the funds had already been transferred abroad. It also reminds the bank that the Rivers state law on his severance package, provides for an official residence for a former governor; of which he chose to have his residence in America.
Amaechi said that, this law was later amended to have his official residence built in Nigeria, after the funds had already been transferred to his Bancorp Bank account. Mr. Amaechi said these changes were the reasons he communicated the consultants for purchase of security helicopters, his official residence in the U.S and the Insecticide companies not to access the funds; since they have been paid through other sources.

The Enugu State Police Command in its resolve towards unmasking those behind the dastardly act perpetrated at Ndiagu Attakwu community of Akegbeugwu in Nkanu West Local Government Area of Enugu state in the early hours of 25/8/16 which left one person dead and four others critically injured, have nabbed a suspect identified as one Umaru Isah from Gusau Zamfara state on 25/8/16 over his alleged involvement in the incident. His arrest came through intelligence information gathered. According to the statement released by the command today, August 25th, the suspect who claimed that he is 20 years old revealed that he came in from Gusau Zamfara state to Enugu recently for the purposes of rearing cattle but has none to rear till now.
Meanwhile investigations have commenced in full scale into his alleged nefarious activities and with a view to unmasking his gang members so that they can be brought to book. The state commissioner of police Emmanuel Ojukwu has vowed to unmask all those involved in the dastardly act and bring them to book.
