tebbyosi: Happy birthday miss bon! God's blessings....please o, me get anoda small question. when applying online, what pages of your admission offer letter is scanned and sent with the application?? i feel i need to be sure cuz d first page just says congrats and all that long story by the dean of the faculty...the next page shows terms and conditions of my admission which i dont know if the embassy cares about....so question is, should i just send the first page and they find out the rest from the school or scan in more dan a page of my acceptance package?
Scan all the pages of your LOA except the page that contains private info like password to ur Student account, etc

Holu26: Hello huz,

For my online application, do I need to fill IMM 5257 form (application for trv form) because it is not listed as one of d forms I should submit?

Someone should help plz
Trv is what guaranteed you a study permit and nigeria is among the countries that requires trv to enter canada so in excess without a legal status u have no right or wat so ever to study in canny therefore is a must fill form for your application..hope it helps

Slimdel: I understood perfectly until u started being sarcastic by saying "asking funny street addresses" she or he needs to ask that's all I'm saying.
And yes thanks for the correction no one is above mistake but I won't thank u for the sarcasm
Sarcasm ke? Mbanunu!!! Adaoma am ain't try to make fun of you pls...mai intention was far frm the word(sarcastic) u used huh! Pls don't be mad @ me..this is a new week with a whole lota + expectations so let's not spoil d good outcome of this week. Sorry pls!!!
TravelRe: Travelling To Canada Part 5 by vinnygod: 7:33am On Jul 21, 2014
Slimdel: Thought it was no 18 ooo my bad thanks for the correction grin
Trust me asking funny street addresses "lol" was the only way I didn't get lost don't make it sound like its bad to ask especially in Lagos, what u just gave her is address for her to get there she must ask people questions, its left for her to write the address u just gave on paper and be moping looking for it or to ask for directions, his or her choice
Do u think she or he will just see the address hanging on the street? If u work there or live in Lagos u probably know there but for someone who doesnt asking funny street addresses is the only way to avoid getting lost.
Ur bad? Huh...anyway I presumed is another error..lol but I got ya msg...welcum..if u recall what I said I mentioned in addition to the description uv gvn h(im)(er)...wat u gave is enough I only supported...it left for h(im)(er) to read btwn lines and get the msg we try to pass...thanks

missbon: When u arrive, visit ur school's international department. U will be given the website and the documents and steps needed to get the authorization letter. It can take upto to 30 days to get the letter so it's not an immediate thing but not a stressful process tho. All the best
Thanks missbon
TravelRe: Travelling To Canada Part 5 by vinnygod: 6:18pm On Jul 20, 2014
missbon: It simply means, u can't just begin to work when u enter Canada. U have to apply for authorization first then a letter will be issued. It wil be taken to a place called service Canada then a SIN number(social insurance number) will be issued. Then you can now start to work for 20hrs a week.
@missbon thank you for taking time to explain that...always cherish ur contributions but pls can u elaborate the procudures to take in applying for this authorization! Hope I didn't ask much

On June 1, 2014, if you hold a study permit but you have not yet applied for an Off-Campus Work Permit, you are authorized to work off campus without a work permit as long as you meet the eligibility requirements for working off campus.
Please I need some guruz to help interpret this clause above explicitly cuz am a bit nervous about wat Kingsolve said regarding the condition stated on his study permit ( except authorised, you re not eligible to work) does the clause really mean you ain't eligible for off-campus work if ur trv was issued from may 31st upwards. Thou curious but concern

Jijola: Persuade the sponsor, but if he insists, then apply through paper route and add the sponsorship letter where the sponsor states that he wants to send the SOA directly.
Let the sponsor write the applicant's details on a cover letter that goes with the SOAd post it through the mailing address on the CDHC web
yomiraheem: //////
Thank you so much bro for stepping in on this case......a sponsor has every right to keep his soa to himself, no matter his reasons which cud be many.

In this case it's advisable one applies tru paper route....1. Ur sponsor can either seal the soa with d bank's confidential envelope addressed to cic which u can package with ur application. He must also state this and reasons in d affidavit of sponsorship.
2. He can send it directly like my oga said and write a letter in respect of this...not asking them he wud send at their request...but that he has sent it separately for confidential reasons...this can be done by visiting dhl or ups where he wud package d soa and send almost at d same time u'r applying(can even be done for online route)..d soa package from d courier shud carry a tracking details which ur sponsor must indicate in the affidavit of sponsorship/letter. Can't explain perfectly but I hope u get.

Its ok, persuading ur uncle to just let it go by giving it to u but if not, don't fret and don't blame him...some people can't even let their lovely wife see their soa talkless a nephew....but it'll nice for u to just hint him about d recommende cash flow and bals...hope this helps

Pls we shudnt say he's wrong by not giving the soa..let's hope for the best...this development may help ur trv in d end u know.

My ogas can add to this or correct me
Wow! Infact wow again!! This's absolute brilliant..thanks for ya inputs I gonna send ya suggestions to mai friend asap.hope it helps

pyhz: Whats so confidential in his soa that he cant gve it to the prsn he's sponsoring himself.

The first thing a vo will look under a sponsorship details of an applicant is the soa so she/he can ascertain mayb the sponsor can truly afford to sponsor the applicant.

I dunno how this is possible without his soa.
The applicant has to submit the soa, then the vo can confirm if its genuine from the sponsor bank directly not the sponsor giving the vo terms he will give it to them personally.
[quote author=pyhz]Whats so confidential in his soa that he cant gve it to the prsn he's sponsoring himself.

Hello @guruz; a friend of mine came to me with a concern about his sponsor's reluctance to release his statement of account(soa) due to confidentiality though he promises to provide other relevant docx but certainly not his soa.however, he says he can make it available to visa officer(vo) by a direct request.nevertheless,I have given him my reply regarding this but still wanna know if the answer I gave him was best for this very situation.
@ dis junction,I seek the opinions of the guruz on this, can his sponsor states due to confidentiality my account statement is not included on this letter but wil b made available by a direct request of VO? Is this acts realistic? Thanks ya response is needed

Funny indeed.however,to mai best of knowledge eye pros won't deprive u trv so long as ya other medical examinations are good even having acute illness such as passed history of tuberculosis, syphilis, hiv, etc can never be the reason for your visa refusal.if you had passed history of illness after under going futher test will only subject u to medical surveillance upon arriving canada for six months but won't stop ya trv .so please relax and start sorting for pre-depature tips cuz ya prayer has been answered.
Amefrica: Make me sef ask;

Does anybody know if a lazy eye (similar to but not as bad as Forest Whitaker's eye tho) can affect/hinder someone's chances of getting TRV?

I was asked to go for a further (eye) test yesterday, which I did. The result shows my right eye has a stronger power than the left. Tho they confirmed it's healthy and can read n see but not like the right. I was given newspaper and some journals to read, which I did. I've never used glasses before 'cuz my vision is clear and I've never seen the need.

The doc compiled the results shaa and scored the eye 6/10 (without glasses) and 8/10 (with glasses) compared to the right's 10/10 with and without glasses..

Can this affect affect my TRV?

famolino: I don't have a copy of my transcript with me, the one I used was sent by the issuing institution to Humber. Am I safe not to include it in my online application since I don't have a copy?
Trancript isn't necessary.your degree certificate can take care of it.

This webpage below is crucial and a must read for potential applicants who are skeptical about criteria used by visa officers in reaching their decision. This might help you to reconsider your application kits.

Read my statement again and u would see that I never generalized.U even misconstrued a statement u quoted may be due to eagerness to dispute what I said. I categorically said that I don't know of any...the English is very simple.
Nna! The english is not simple for me oo probably cuz I'm not from english-related fields but I know that these two phrases are totally diiferent without any convergence "...I know of don't...and....I don't know of...cheers! No hard feelings bro cool

bashorunbazok: All Canadian institutions I know of don't accept private email addresses such as yahoo, gmail and the likes. You have no choice than to contact those 'sadist'. However, you can make life easy for yourself by approaching nice ones among them. I noticed that the Prof's recommendation are usually tough to get except if he knows you well enough or he has a template for all student in which he only edit the name. Most times I use 'Mr' and Prof or 'Mr' and Dr. It has worked well for me because the 'Mr' won't make life difficult for you and I have never read in any admission requirement of any school stating that your recommendation must be from a Prof of Dr. But no doubt, using two Profs would make ur application seem strong, but I can assure you that it doesn't guarantee you admission.
N.B: I am talking from experience, gotten admission from an ivy league school before with recommendations from a 'Mr' and a Prof.No scholarship tho
"All Canadian institutions I know of don't accept private email addresses such as yahoo, gmail and the likes."Point of correction not all the universities in canada.I applied using mai lecturers as referees and both operate yahoos as their email handle. it may interest u to know that I got admitted via their recommendations...don't generalise it
